  1. Spring Break Re-Union Party

I have a good base, but I need some ultra cheese spring break tracks, ala artists like and similar to *cringe*

VengaBoys, Klubbheads, Da Klubb Kings, SM Trax...

basically any cheese shit you would hear at your spring break hotel..

I know you all are hiding those tracks on your hard drives, so spill it...

    thanx in advance

    Jeff,

Try the european based homeofmusic.com forums. They know and favor UK hard house more than people on this board.

Sunday night, JP @LABOOM!!! off teh fucking hook.

my boys went back to a hotel with him late night and got mangled. i left early so i fucking missed it... no biggie.

tuesday night at daddy O everyone from my school was chilling in the JP VIP section... it was funny to see him hit on girls that i'm friends with. got to chat with him and take some pictures.

he then spun again wed night at the Marti gra party.

kinda dissapointed. he played the same music the entire week but it was sick....

i heard in your eyes, goin through it, like a prayer....

    all the classic jp mixes....

i don't know how the man parties non stop.... he's unreal.....

Yo, I had to have run into you. I went to LaBoom Sun and PaddyO's on Wed. I talked to a Villanova kid that said the same exact thing you did about chillin with Peters. I bet it was you. I was with the Virginia Tech crew.

    You just must be deaf

Don't get me wrong, he was insane, but he trainwrecked alot for a professional DJ. You also gottah admit the crowd wasn't feelin him either. OUttah the lets say the thousand people at Mardi Gras, how many people were dancing on that stage?? 50?? His sound doens't work well with people that aren't familiar with his stuff. More people were feelin Benji Solis, and the Detroit DJ that was at DaddyO's on Mon was on point too.

Fuckin DJ Clue, and KimbalL COllins were both no shows during the week...What dick heads..

  6. get the faaaaawk outtah here!! I bumped into a bunch of NY Villanova heads....4th FLoor Oasis? I was talking to one of the Villanova girls and mentioned I was from SI, and she was like all our boys are from there, and started intoducing me to them. The only name I remember was a kid named Tsatchatori wearing like a Blue Sleeveless and Capris i think.

Anyway, I was def. helping move that stage around caus it was all bent outtah shape. HAHAHA!!! Don't forget 'Like a Prayer" for 25 minutes.

Oh, I saw you cats runnin shit at DadyO's on Thur too.....that DJ ripped it up late night...and that titty contest....Daaaaaaaamn...

I was one of the villanova heads...

you probably helped me push the stage back together a couple times!! HAH!

    GOING THROUGH IT IN CANCUN!!!!!

    DA DAD AD ADAAAAAADA

  7. I def. bugged out the first time i heard that track. He teased it for like 20 minutes, each time lettin it drop for like 10 secs, and then builing it up again. Ohhh man, I had a hard on!!

Anyway...the only chance I had to hear this song was a cell phone copy of the first 3 minutes or so. So I kept waiting and waiting...and finally I heard that part from the cell phone copy I have on my hard drive...he teased it for about 10 minutes...6:45 A.M the place blew the fuck up. Man...this song is hard and scary...peeps were going nuts. The energy....faaaget about it!

pangelid: how was the broads down there?

    Saleen,

The girls were outtah control over there. I've never seen so much blatant nudity/hooking up/ass/titties you name it you see it

If you evah hit up Cancun, be sure you cycle roids b4hand and hit up the Hotel Oasis b/c everyone there is jacked....it was like SF on the beach.

    HAHAHA!!! I loved it though.

As far as Peters goes, he get's no respect outside of NY metro/Boston. Every single guy/girl there was like this music sucks. I just laughed.

  9. La Boom and then Pat Obriens mardi Gras Night...

and all I have to say is POTS N PANS in full effect.

I still don't understand why he gets booked outside SF b/c his dj skills are out of control bad. 4 trainwrecks in a 3 hr set. WAAAAACK for an international superstar....

HOWEVER................he droped GOING THRU IT for like 30 minutes both nights and I absoluetly went nuts. Barely anybody else was feeling him xcept the guidos from Mass [Avalon Kids] and Villanova. Peters def. doesnt fit the spring break crowd.

Now, Benji Solis, the La Boom resident was tearin it up......that damn mexican has some hot jams....

    was anybody else there???

Is there a program???

Get a program called "cdrwin". It allows you to write what is called a cue file which tells the burning program when specifically to break up the tracks. Its takes some time to get used to, but is crucial to everything after that.

Nah nah, the factory cds, just like the exit vs tunnel vs world or whatever the faaaack they are doing nowadays are just trax thrown together by any dj to sell new music.

I like the bootlegs, caus they give the small dose that I need for the month.

I remember the first time i stepped into exit... I loved it. I thought it was an amuzement park where you could get lost and if you lose your friends your fucked. I liked the music as well. This was when i first started clubbin in nyc. Which brings me to today. You people are forgetting that exit is an 18+ club meaning there are thousands of new club heads a year coming to this place. Tony Draper isnt a bad dj because he plays what the kids want to hear. I mean if your telling me that when u first started clubbin you just wanted to go for paul oakenfold tiesto or paul van dyke you must be out of your mind. You didnt care what the jd was as long as he was playing shit you knew and u liked. Thats why tony draper was such a good job for exit on fridays. As we grow older in the scene we hear other djs which do mixes and songs much better thats what grows us to love them. A lot of people say they like this dj and that dj when they never even heard them live the just jump on the bandwagon. European djs are a great accomplishment in nyc but in the same aspect maybe the younger club kids rather the tony draper music and the music their familiar with. Just my 2 cents.

I agree. When I first went out clubbing, it was to goa parties, and I remember thinking how they were the shit. Then I moved on to other things, and wham, I am where I am now. When I look back, I notice all the genres I liked early on, suck to me now. Draper does good for the first timers. His music fits his crowd.

yeah I saw him in DC this past weekend, and I gave him a big ....ehhhhh!!

he was real mellow, never really broke out too much. Popped in a few tech trance trax the spice things up, but then brought it back down for too long. He plays real progressive.

I don't see him doing well at Roxy.

    2 cents.

  15. aight...thanx everyone, so far so good...

#6 is "Da Cloot - Get Uppa"

#11 is "Blaze - To My Beat [Ambassador Mix]" but sped up like a muthafu**a.

still can find the ID to number 4. Help me out if you have the CD.

    Thanx

  16. there are a coupla trax on here i've been bouncing around to....

#4 - sharp synths, sounds like a da boy tommy beat or something off the jumper label. there is an airplane in the background...vocal says prepare for takeoff

#6 - real hard lead synth. male vocal going "get up, get uppah" over and over again, with a 2/4 stutter beat..

#11 - hard techno track w/male vocal "My beats are words are melodies are gifts from those who have beats...ask yourself if you really can dance to this beat..." then the vocal repeats "to my beat" over and over again..

    thanx in advance

  17. there's also a new technology called mp3pro, which shrinks mp3s even further in size but allows the same sound quality. Its incredible for the music freaks that are running out of room on the hard drive.

You can go to mp3pro.com and check it out. Also, winamp I believe has a plugin already for the new format as well.

The club is huge, it's about the size of a city block in itself, but it is very dirty and appeals to a crowd that isn't really there for the music, but for the drugs and for the name. People were sick or cracked out everywhere, and they could film a great "stay off drugs" campaign in there. A lot of that is residual from the Tony Draper days when you couldn't care about the music if you were gonna go there. The newest parties are working to bring the club out of that - names like Tiesto, Max Graham, Dave Ralph, etc. on Friday nights and Junior Vasquez on Saturday nights. Also, the smaller rooms, especially the white room (vip) upstairs are beautiful - big couches and lounge space, clean white floors, not very crowded, waterfalls, ventilation... the club is kind of like the Titanic, minus the sinking part. If you can access the upper floors, you're loving it, but if you're on the bottom floor, you're with the rats. Here's hoping the two new parties can pull it out of that, but big clubs tend to have the issue that in order to make their operation profitable they have to let in everyone, including scum. Ehhh well. We'll see what happens.

EXIT is not as terrible as you two make it out to be. It is a huge club, and has many of the negatives that accompany that, being very popular and very crowded, but it has many attributes that alot of people like. There are many different rooms to appease your taste, I believe about 6 diff rooms, a ridiculous huge mainfloor w/great lighting, which is an experience in itself, and the new york attitude that comes with it's patrons. Some people like the attitude, some people can't hang. It's alot based on opinion. I will agree that there is a lot of drug abuse there, but not as much as SF or any other afterhours joint. Being that the party is now switching focus, I see alot of potential over there, and will most likely be there all summer.
