i dont agree 100%. there are situtions when this doensnt apply, like when you drink too much black out and lose control. I've blacked out and was told numerous stories i didnt want to hear the next day. I've also watched my gf black out and start freak dancing [and i mean stepping waaaaaay over the line of regular dancing] boys at a club, and the next day has no idea or memory of anything.
its a tough call. I would also take into account who she was going out with.

does anyone have a full air raid siren or any siren sound like you would hear them blast at a club.

Happy New Year Bro. I just came back from Montreal this past weekend, and it was incredible. The entire city was filled with clubbers from NYC, NJ, MASS, and CT all having a sick time. Def. a place to check out in the future during NYE.

riiiping vinyl is sooo easy, I can't believe people have such a hard time doing it.
Just plug in your turntable and mixer like normal, then take your master out cord and plug it into your "line in" to your computer soundcard. Make sure you get the correct adapter for the line in.
Now, turn on your recording software. It could be anything like Soundforge/Acid Pro or Cool Edit or anything like that. Press the record button, and a "pre-record" screen will pop up. When playing your record, that screen will show if your are getting a signal through your soundcard. The VU-Meter will be going up and down, and if checked off, sound will be coming through your computer speakers. If all that is happening, tahat means everything is working and you are ready to record. I usually adjust the levels on my mixer to go full blast b/c you lose volume when you go from analog to digital.
After you do all that, and make sure everything is working, re-set up your record to the beginning, and hit record from the pre-record screen, and you are set.
I hope that helps. Let me know if it didnt.
Also, the turntable doesnt matter. Just ask your friend to borrow his. Also, dont forget the signal must go through your mixer first.
