  2. Sasha and Digweed getting paid twice for the same evening- Paid $18,000 by Crobar to spin,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Paid $10,000 by JP to stop set by 6 am so that Black actually has a chance of attracting some business.
  3. Please only answer if you have serious material to contribute. If you were there downstairs after 9 am or if you have inside info from staff at the club to confirm---->>> Britney and small entourage show up downstairs at SF? 1) a few weeks ago in Las Vegas she got married to a friend after a night of partying, and she promptly got the marriage Some paraphrase of what the guy said about it was "it was such a beautiful, expansive evening and we just wanted to capture it and share something special"
  4. With visiting friends in Chelsea who want to club. If you know of any decent open places, please post the club and approximate closing time-----> I
  5. Questions 1) Are there working girls in NYC clubs? Please make no confessions about your personal patronization of professionals, but do give me the 4-1-1 and your opinion.

    My arse

that ass and set of legs are a 10- what club is this in?
  7. For reference, I've been listening to great DJs since I first used to go to listen to Junior at Twilo when it first opened. SInce then Danny T, Sasha, Digweed, Carl Cox, blah blah blah through the list of every DJ imaginable except Paul va Dyk. I go clubbing in New York, LA, London, Barcelona, Ibiza, Amsterdam, Beijing, and Hong Kong regularly throughout the year, so I have some frame of reference and experience seeing the DJs people continuously talk about on this board. Stopping the music and encouraging the crowd to clap (locally, thats sometimes a stupid Junior Vasquez move) is totally weak. Its almost coersive- "I'm not spinning any more music until I hear the crowd applaud and ackknowledge how great I am". As I mentioned in the original thread, when a DJ plays a killer set, the crowd will applaud and give them their due props, but that kinda love from a crowd is something that a DJ should earn rather than expect.
  8. Everyone has different tastes and variety is a good thing, but I saw Paul van Dyk live for the first time (an ex gf who didn't like van Dyk and assorted obstacles prevented me from ever seeing van Dyk live). I was in Singapore (yes, the country, not a club) recently for Chinese New Year and he spun in a coll venue that was a club in an abandoned power plant. The music lacked character, he never let it flow for more than 3-4 minutes without breaking the beat or simply interrupting by dropping the sound, and often, these interruptions were to allow him to encourage the crowd to clap for him !?!?!? What the FUCK!?!?! I don't mean clapping with the beat of music, I mean stopping the music and goading people to clap. Note to those brought up in an environment completely lacking etiquette------when others applaud (or even toast) you, YOU DON"T CLAP FOR YOURSELF, its rude and if there is such little applause that your clapping will contribute to the decibel level, its better to simply politely ignore the applause. FURTHERMORE how weak is it to encourage others to clap for you!?!?!? Please, if people don't spontaneously applaud you, invest your energy on spinning better rather than coercing the crowd to clap for you. I've heard that he is vehemently anti-drug. I assume the piss poor music is the result of someone who simply doesn't understand the groove without interruption when your ELEMENTS demand such.
  9. That story is awesome- totally out of control. It seems like total BS to me or maybe the entire episode occurred in the head of someone who never even left the couch while in a K-hole, but MAJOR PROPS. Whoever wrote this thing is wasting their time doing anything else but getting into screenwriting. I relayed this story to a group of friends in the entertainment industry, and already they've told me they would rip this off and include it in a film (or even make a short film) in a heartbeat. Keep bumpin the K, we want more crazy stories like this.
  10. OK- this is not really about clubbing- the MTV series "Wade Robeson Project" (I'm pretty sure this thing is now cancelled) used to have a little chick as the DJ- what was her name?
  11. If you're concerned about getting legal Rx, take a trip to Mexico, you can get a round trip ticket for a few hundred dollars. Its cold now so you'd have the benefit of a vacation in the sun. I presume you know that ketamine is not a controlled substance, and the things that are controlled (like xanax, dilaudid, speed, etc) can be purchased at local pharmacias- just pay a $20-40 fee to the Mexican "doctor" and you'll be set. Come back to the US with a 3 month suppy (which can really be a year supply if you have the scripts filled properly) and you're set for a year of peaceful come-down-off-coke-E-crystal sleep. My 2 cents
  12. So you've been anticipating the opening of this place holding out hope that some magic clubbing might return to NYC. I hope you didn't hold your breath. Overall, it was a huge disappointment. The music was mediocre at best and sucked at worst. The DJ (David Morales) could have slapped on a good CD and done a better job keeping people dancing. The placed closed promptly at 4:10 am. There were more people over 50 years old than under 25 years old, the average age was 30. There were few hotties, and although no completely goofy, unsexy people there (like the hairy glow stick guy from Twilo), the crowd didn't strike you as sexy, groovy, or energetic. The physical space is nicely done, especially the location of the DJ booth on the second floor just over the dance floor- its great to have a good view of the DJ. There is a restaurant on the top floor that is dark with a type of Asian minimalist furniture. A chill out room (the old coat check upstairs) with tarot card reading, massages etc, but no music in there. The VIP room is a narrow balcony that wraps around the circumference of the place overlooking the dance floor. Few of you are probably familiar with upscale clubs in London where people go to eat a later dinner and then say for music/drinks/dancing (who the hell wants to eat if you're gonna use elements!)- but it looks like Spirit is an attempt to replicate a club like China White in London- an upscale place with a more "sophisitcated" (meaning middle-aged) crowd that is chilled out. The physical space is still great, and when the club/restaruant/massage area flops, they can revert to having slamming music that pumps til 11 am. BRING BACK SASHA AND DIGWEED!!!!
  13. One thing with regard to evaporating the solvent that K is in- put it in a place where no dust will settle onto it. Microwaving K definitely results in chemical reactivity, either of ketamine with ketamine or ketamine with benzalkonium chloride (the antibacterial stuff in pharmaceutical ketamine). No one knows if this makes any difference to the user though- I certainly don't notice any difference.
  14. The attached photo was taken today on West 27th, it shows the gut renovation of the building that will house Spirit, the reincarnation of Twilo. Obviously the construction is not as far along as we would hope. The anticipated opening date (if all goes well) is December 2003. All who hoped this would be open for business this summer (myself included) have to wait. Just for reference, the light bulb in the photo sits in approximately the same place as the DJ booth that was located in front of the dance floor.

  16. I don't think that you're bullshitting, you probably believe your post, but Ketamine was not invented by mexicans, nor was it developed for animal use. Ketamine was iniitally synthesized by Parke-Davis, and American pharmaceutical company, as a derivative of PCP. PCP was then used as an anesthetic agent in humans, but too many patients recovering from surgery (after having received PCP anesthesia) awoke with psychiatric disturbance/psychosis that PCP use was stopped in humans. Parke-Davis devloped K as a drug with similar effects that cold be used as an anesthetic but without the same side-effects of PCP. For a brief time in the 1960s, PCP continued to be used in animals after its use in humans was discontinued (name of PCP for humans was "Serynl", name for PCP used in animals was Sernylan). Just FYI
  17. I have had to carry shit many times due to the fact that I wanna party every place I think I might enjoy and I don't want to risk getting busted looking for party favors in an unfamiliar town. Tips- when carrying a few pills, you certainly can keep them with your other toiletries (motrin, benadryl etc). For maximum safety, I crush them and dissolve them in a 1/2 bottle of liquid cold medicine contained in an opaque brown bottle. WHen its time for trippin, drink as much of the liquid that contains the number of pills you put in the drink (this requires ability to do simple math)--> the easiest way is to make it something you'll remember, like one teaspoon (5 milliliters) is one pill. The down side is that you have to take this before going out or carry some cough syrup into the club with you. Carrying K is easy--> dissolve the K into water and carry it in a small plastic bottle, like visine. Note-REMEMBER THAT ITS K AND NOT VISINE, PUTTING DROPS OF K INTO YOUR EYE BURNS LIKE SHIT. When its time to "cook" the k, the hair dryer in your hotel and a clean plate you get from room service does the trick. Carrying crystal meth is easy--> you can't carry ice, you have to crush it. Crush the k into fine powder and fill emptied capsules of benadryl with this. I would caution about being careful not to forget that its meth instead of benadryl, but tweak heads remember every grain of meth they have, so there's never an inventory problem. Don't get busted carrying to another country, you can easily end up in prison rather than deported.
  18. I've been partying in LA for the last few months (and the club scene is way better than the shit we have going on, though most clubs do close early)- since I've returned to NYC, I am paying twice as much for crystal here as I did in LA? Whats the going rate for crystal (ice, not any soapy looking white crud) in your city?
  19. Anyone who can keep pills around for a year should donate them to those of us who really have some use for them.
  20. Although K used to be from vets (the yellow label Fort Dodge) that plant in Fort Dodge has phased out production. Most K that you can get in liquid is mexican now. I remember 5 years ago when a liquid vial of Fort Dodge that was 1 gram of K cost $30---> what the hell happened? I don't wanna bomb Irag to have cheap oil, I wanna raid Mexico for cheap K. By the way, if you go to mexico on spring break or whatever, you can buy K over the counter-> its an unregulated veterinary pharmaceutical.
  21. The best thing to do is skip the drug test- tell them you're sick and delay taking the test. If you're not a chronic user, you might be negative within one week. One way to find out if you're positive is to test the urine yourself- depending on what city you're in, you might be able to take a laboratory test and get the result, otherwise you might need to buy a home test (sort of like a home pregancy test) and make sure its negative.\ The goldenseal and drinks that "cleanse" drugs from your body don't work, so don't waste money on them. Whatever you do, don't take the test tomorrow, you'll certainly fail it.
  22. Does anyone REALLY know when this club will open? Also, anyone know peeps promoting for this club? I checked on their website a while ago, but stopped checking cuz it didn't really say much. Since then, I forgot the address- anyone who has it please share. Luv The Rolls:)
  23. I'm just getting home from a party Is this too late to go to Exit? Is the cover charge any less expensive this late?
  24. Myself and 3 friends from NYC are visiting and want to hit a groovy club with a great DJ. I see that Sasha is spinning tomorrow, which we will do, but what clubs do you recommend,,,,
