I will be in the Baltimore area on Sat. October 20th. I like Trance music/progressive house. Does anyone know of a place with good music. There are a lot of commercial cheesy places in Baltimore I want to stay away from. I am used to the Philadelphia-New York scene. A place with good music, people and lighting is what I am looking for. Any suggestions? Kat

I am coming to LA August 16-19. My friend is a bartender at a placr called Deep. I heard that this is one of the hot spots in LA. Has anyone been there? What is it like? Any suggestions of places I should not miss? I am coming from Philly. I am used to the NY clubs and I am excite to check out the west coast clubs. I like Trance and House music.

There are a lot of cool clubs....The Odion (sp?) was cool as well as the Roxy. Definitely go on a night time wine and cheese canal ride. It is cool to see the canals all lit up. I am sure it would be cool during the day. The red light district is a must-see. IT is soooo crazy. The art museums are very cool as well as the Anne Frank house but go early if you are to see these. There is a great Dutch pancake house down from the Anne Frank house. Boom Chicago is a fun show to go see in Lizeplain square (sp?) as for coffeehouses..the grasshopper is cool. The bulldog is too commercial..less strong. Heinken Hdqtrs are there. You can get a tour and drink all day. I went to Amsterdam for a week and had a blast. I took a train to Paris which was not too far away so that is an option as well. Have fun!!!

For those of you that love trance you can not miss Gatecrasher. They came to Philly and they have the best cd sets around. Gatecrasher is at the Limelight on the 25th...gogogo...you will not be disappointed. Also...anyone going to Oakenfold on Thanksgiving night at the Hammerstein Ballroom?

I am going to Chicago in January and am really looking forward to checking out the scene. I like clubs with a lot of energy. I like Trance..the best, house etc.... I just need great music, cool lights and cool people. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The best club in Philadelphia by far is Evolution. Who ever said that it is never crowded is obviously not a reliable source. They are under new management and have made the club "the place to be" It has sooo much energy and the best dance floor in Philadelphia. The best night is Sat. for all the music you listed. As for the other clubs.....Shampoo has a tiny dance floor and the people are snobs and the music is so so. If I go to Shampoo I go on Thurs. Transit has a cool vibe the music is also just okay and if it is crowded it will be uncomfortable. Oakenfold is coming there on Sat the 25th!! Egypt is just cheesy! If you want to hang with cool people come to Evolution....Rob Lee is the DJ on Sat and he is great.

This weekend Evolution (Del. Ave-next to Window Wizards) is changing ownership. It will now be called the Matrix and they have a great line up for opening weekend. Danny Tsettos from Exit is spinning Friday night and Sat. night they are having a big opening party. It will be the place to be. Evolution is by far the best club in Philly. It has the best dance floor and lighting!!!

I am trying to get some kind of Philly board together. Transit is definitely the place to be now. Shampoo sucks these days. The dancefloor is so small and the music too housy for me. I still love Evolution. I am bummed that it has died. We need to get a crowd back there. Rob Lee spins great music on Sat. They are under new management now. Transit is good on Wed and Fri. Hopefully Philly will get on the board. I am willing to help with it!! Kat

Transit is on Spring Garden Street. The crowd is soooo much better then Shampoo. The music on Wed. nights is great. They have had a lot of promotional nights since they have opened. If you want to make the drive...Studio Six in AC is always happening on Sat. nights.

Has anyone been to or heard of a club in the Taj Mahal in AC? What about the Club Stars that is above Planet Hollywood? I go to Studio Six a lot and love TJ's music. Are there other clubs at the Jersey shore that spin music like his? Kat
