    The true old school legend returns that night. He is the guy that invented my position in the nightclub. He was the do it all of the nightclub business. Also, for those that dont know he was the guy to give Denny Tsettos his first shot DJing when he was 16. We will all be out for the Return of a Legend.

  5. Xmas in Clubland 6 coming to DEKO on 12/20

    Thats right its that time of the year when I bring together all my friends for my yearly Xmas party. Christmas in Clubland VI finally comes back to Sayreville on December 20th at DEKO. The pre-party will be from 9 - 11 downstairs with 1/2 price drinks. The party will be invitation only. Contact binoy or joe armenio for their guestlist for the affair. The only difference to this years party is that I WILL BE BARTENDING the party downstairs. For those that have known me for a long time know at one time I was the champagne king at Club Abyss behind the bar. For this night only I will go back behind the bar for 2 hours to show those people that didnt know me back then what kind of bartender I am. George and ceeotter better watch out Serg is back in town. George and I actually were partners at one time at the Abyss. This party is usually one of the best parties of the holiday. Also, there will be a special guest DJ downstairs that night for my party, a good friend of mine back from the Abyss days and CPmember Joe Giorgio.

    12/19 at Joeys - Joeys IN Friday Xmas Party - The Tri-state areas longest running Friday night welcomes everyone to its XMAS Party. Music by NJ's favorite - DENNY TSETTOS

    Tuesday, 12/23 @ the SOUND GARDEN

    Twas the Night Before Xmas Eve - everyones off XMAS EVE so its time for a party. I am doing this party for the people to come have a drink with their favorite industry people for the Holidays. Music by Denny Tsettos and friends.

    So last night I took a journey a journey into the 80s to listen to one of my favorite performers in grammer school and high school, David Lee Roth @ the old Hunka Bunka. The place pretty much looked the same. THere were some bars cut down smaller and if you had been there as much as I have u would realize the ceilings are a little higher. Walking in there brought back alot of great memories including my 21st birthday when i got so wasted that i fell face first on top of the girl I was dating. Mind you she never spoke to me again. Who cares??? Sound wise it was unbelievable and he sounded great. What a great way to watch a concert it felt like it was a private concert. Every place you stood was a perfect place to see the concert. I know this is a club board but I think everyone should go see a concert at Starland. Tony, the owner, did an excellent job with the place and it is definitely a great place to watch a show. Check out their site at www.starlandballroom.com.

    Since you mentioned my name in your little thread here I guess I must respond. Let me tell you where I stand with Johnathan Peters. First of all I am part of the original promotion team that started with JP at the Factory. JP and I go way back and we are very cool with each other. Also, Edgar (JPs mgr) and I have a long history dating from the Factory days. For those that remember JP even played at the SURF for me when he came to visit his buddy Ziggy playing. But that is the past let me talk to you about my pursuit for JP now. The Saturday that JP had a meeting with Richard I received a call from his crew telling me he was having a meeting with Richard about the possibility of leaving the Factory. I was probably the 2nd or 3rd team (definitely 1st in NJ) offered JP. The price I was offered was real reasonable (though we never actually determined a price). I even got to the point where i spoke to Abyss and the Sound Garden as the 2 venues I was going to do JP at both on Thursdays and one possibly on my birthday. That night I heard that the meeting went alright with Richard and he wasnt sure if he was leaving. He was going to weigh his options. He met with a few peeps including Crobar for a possible residency. He then went and decided that he was going to leave the factory. He was already part of the CEG roster and at that point they began to handle him and his price has gotten real high. Right now JP will play for no less then 20 to 25k (non holiday). Do the math for his pay plus promoting costs you are going to need about 30-35k to do this. I was going to do it on a Thursday and it would be a huge risk to take during the week. Also, its a huger risk to do it in the Winter where u have to worry about snow. Now I have been told by his personnel that he will talk to me about lowering the number to play the SURF. He really does want to play the SURF and I am going to do everything in my power to get him. If the price is sort of reasonable. As I mentioned in other posts I am afraid of how much money a NJ customer will pay to see any DJ. I ahve been doing this shit for over ten years and I cant get everyone from Tiesto to Carl Cox if I want to spend the money. I actually spoke to the owners of the Abyss about running a once a month party on a Thursday there with the Carl Cox's of this world. Bottom line is I am not in a position to take a 10k hit on any event. Are you?

    In closing, Kosta P is correct. Anyone can book JP if JP likes the room. Do yourself a favor call CEG 212-291-2190 and tell them you want to book JP. Then call the Sound Garden (best sound system in NJ) at (973) 778-4434 and tell Eugene that you want to rent the room out for JP and you book him. You do all that and take the responsibility I will promote for you and even pay to get in.

    Good idea problem is I tried it last year and it wasnt accepted the way I hoped it was going to be. I called it "2 Nu 4 The Radio" and Denny DJed it. THose musicheads loved it but all and all the average crowd didnt accept it. I have learned alot over the last couple years regarding the music scene in NJ. My discovery is most people dont give a shit. My nights at the SURF CLUB I realized we did better numbers with the Boris / Jason Ojedas then I did with Superchumbo/ Hector Romero / Tim Deluxe (though he never showed up). Nothing against my boys Jason and Boris but I tried to bring in talent from around the globe and it wasnt accepted by the NJ club goer. I have learned my lesson and this summer I will not take as many shots on the higher paid DJs out there. Sorry but even Joey Sr noticed the lack of difference between the NY/NJ DJ & the World Wide Talent.

    First of all let me announce I am playing for DEKO Lounge if I decide to play. I might have to be the MC/organizer of the event. I am trying to get the next generation of Sergio's (my little bros) to help me run it so I can dominate on the court. It was a tough decision but there are already enough shot callers at Joeys to handle themselves.

    Regarding add'l teams I can not add anymore. I am already at 10 which is already 2 more then I wanted to. And to make this competition more fair I had to do double elimination. I already rented out the entire rexplex for the engagement so there is no other room to add any venues. Steve and Ronnie I will let u know if any team decides to bail and you guys will be the first to know.

    Thats right I am still working on the date but it will be in January on a Sunday afternoon at the Rexplex right on the tpike in Elizabeth. I already have the teams and I am starting to put the schedule together. If you are an employee of one of the places mentioned please see the team captain of each team. No ringers please, employees only.
