Hey- remember me? From Toronto? I wanted to let u know that by the time I finally went over to Limelight to see my friend at 5:10am, they told me he had just left. Oh well. So, no Dave Clarke & no friend. Way to go! Had a great time w/all of you. -N.

I too tried to get into Vinyl at 8am, but was refused. They made it sound like they had shut the doors 2 minutes earlier, but it now looks like it was more like a 1/2 hour earlier. I was hoping to get in and meet up w/the friends I'd hung out with on Sat. at Timo Maas. Earlier that nite, we went to Exit for the Electric Circus 3 party, only to be greeted by some guy on a corner handing out directions to the new venue of the party since Exit had been closed down due to 'drug violations' the night b4. New venue: Amzora Ballroom in Queens! Not to mention 2/3rds of the acts had been cut, including the 2 main ones I wanted to see (and I came down from Toronto!). Regardless, we had a good time there, but only to find out it was closing at 7 instead of 9 am if it had been at Exit. So, we left at 6:45 to make it over to Vinyl, only to be refused. Lame.

I can't believe 1/2 a week has gone by and no one has even started a thread on this topic. I wanna hear how it was, so I'm starting it. Go!

TLV in Tel Aviv is supposed to be the next best thing. (Same owners as the former Allenby 58). Octopus also gets great talent, AND it (as well as Zoom) backs up to the sea. Ha'oman 17 in Jerusalem is a blast, and hosts the occasional 'after party' on mornings after holidays, but be prepared to pay a hefty entry fee if it's one of those parties.... Other popular clubs there are Scene, Layla, & Pacha (< at the old Dolphinarium). Many of the clubs are situated right next to each other in the port at the northern end of T.A. (You will see the crowds and traffic). Lineups are total chaos- be prepared.

mcs328- Those 'roving gangs' you mentioned are better knows as BTS (Brooklyn Terror Squad). I have never seen them personally (I think they stick to the state of NY), but what I'm told is that they dress up as candy ravers, go to raves in groups, target dealers, & then beat the crap out of them for their drugs and money. I think that kind of gangster bullshit should stay the fuck out of our scene.

Keoki used to be a resident DJ at the Limelight in NY, back when it was good (a long time ago).

No- I was at Oakie's set in the fall, & he did not play this song. (Didn't he end with some Star Wars theme song?). Either way, it's not the same song. And, I know it's not "The Prophet' by CJ Bolland. Whatever it was, it was very epic & uplifting.

Last Sat. Talla spun at Glow & played this amazing song near the end of his set. It had female vocals, singing something like "Come with me"- very epic. Anyone know what track this is? I gotta know....

The club closes at 3:30?!?!?! Now that sucks even more! I take it Tandu is on the main floor? Is there a smaller floor open instead? Guess I'll be going somewhere else after all... I was worried the crowd would be like that.....! Thanks

I saw Mauro Picotto here in Toronto on Fri. night, and I also have one word for that show: HOLYFUCKINGSHIT!!!!!! That was the best thing I've ever heard and I honestly feel sorry for anyone who missed the show. **And that song you mentioned- it's by Chris Liebing called 'Analog:Â He Fucked Her All Night'.
