If you want psy-trance, you'll have to take a road trip... NY, Toronto, or Israel have strong psy-trance scenes.

A couple years ago I was in SoBe & bought some great cd's at the Mix's cd shop. I know it's gone now, but so is one of the cd's I bought there. I'd love to replace it but I can't find anyone who imports it. Specifically, I am looking for the BXR label (Mauro Picotto's label). They had several compilations for sale then. Are there any stores in SoBe that carry their cd's, or does anyone know where I might be able to order them in N. America? Thanks.

Glow is a Sat. night event that mainly brings in trance DJ's, but they also have other music on other floors (latin, hip hop...? I wouldn't know- I'd only go for the trance anyways). If you want techno, you missed Gabry Fasano there on 9/29.

WHAT are you talking about?!?!?! I was in the main room at Amnesia- I don't know where you were... "Clean and sharp"?!?!? It was the exact opposite. I have been clubbing for 10 yrs now, nearly on a weekly basis, and that was THE worst sound system I've heard in ages, & the 10 people who were there with me were in agreement. You might want to check out Buzz one day to find out where the best sound system in DC is- they've spent a million dollars on their sound system.

THAT was the 'improved' sound system??? I haven't heard sound that bad in a LOOOOONG time. Gabry was awesome though.

I had a great time! I don't know what everyone else is talking about on that other message board. I saw him spin last winter, and yes, I walked out early. Tim just saw him in London a month ago & walked out early. But Sat. nite, I loved his set. I'm not saying he's the best, but he gained points in my book this weekend.
