correction to earlier Hybrid post. i gave out late and bad information regarding the Hybrid show. the show was actually scheduled for 10/13 (last weekend ) whether or not the show took place (they have had 2 cancellations @ icon this year) i do not know yet. sorry for being late on this post and exciting anyone that might have gone. i am a dick.

ferry corsten fucking sucks. even when hes not playing the records that ministry of sound tells him to play (like on the past 3 trance nation cd's) he is spinning weak, by the numbers euro trance which is boring and uninspiring. pass on ferry, edgar. and as long as people are making suggestions, how about chris fortier or richie hawtin ??

lets all keep in mind that the younger kids need something to believe in too. the so-called candy ravers add a lot of fun and color to the scene and i like to see them around. the important thing is not to take everything so god damn seriously and just have a good time.

for anyone interested in my question, i will answer it for myself. according to the GU webpage, the oficial release for the the dvd is october 2nd, however it wont be in stores until late november. (which really means it will be a miracle if it is available before 2002)

BASEMENT JAXX will have their only Florida appearance w/ a full live band and vocalists in Orlando @ The House of Blues on Saturday, October 13th.

trevor, you are going to be closer to orlando than you probably think. buena vista is just a short drive away from orlando. check out downtown - like my earlier post your best bet their is club icon their site is www.club-icon.com , the appalling christopher lawrence will be there tonite.

lake buena vista, huh? you are stuck in tourist heaven/hell. orlando's club scene fucking sucks and everyone knows it but wtf can you do. in lake buena vista is downtown disney which has the house of blues, on sunday nites they have a club night called Sin where you can hear central floridas infamously lame funky breaks sound. a better bet is to find your way over to the universal city walk where you can hear decent music @ ritual saturdays with noel sanger, this summer guests have included anthony pappa & jimmy van m its about a 15 min drive on I4 from lk buena vista. your best bet thoug is going downtown to club icon. once again, you are in a lame clubbing city but with enough alcohol/drugs you might have fun...

as far as deep dish live - its impossible for them to recreate what they do on disk - live. i read an interview of them recently that said they had +150 reedits of the tracks in the studio for yoshi 2! deep dish is untouchable. (but whats up with the N'sync remix - not so nicely!)

i hate to say it - but i tend to agree with a majority of this arcticle.
