First, next store is another club- CJ Bolland is spinning in there (Axis) that night- there's no wall to take down (although it would be nice) but you can walk back & forth between the two clubs (they're connected by a door.) I assume either Ali or Debo will be opening for PVD Expect him on around midnight

The sound system isn't that new- it was installed when the club reopened (after the renovations) in Sept of 99. They recently made some adjustments with the speakers that's all. (JP blows at least one everytime he's here LOL) The freon system is new though. And be on the lookout for some cool ass stuff on Saturdays starting in August with the new 'Superstar Saturdays.' It's gonna be DOPE xoxo

You must be on their mailing list then..I thought it was a little odd that you would post this without any Boston connections which is why I asked where you were from..I thought possibly you went to school up here. Anyway, here's the deal: Manny is the resident at Avalon, Boston's biggest club. Its a real nice place, incredible lights/ sound..every Friday they have rotating DJ's from all over...everything from house to trance..anyway Manny spins on Thur & Sat- usually a good mix of house & trance. You can listen to some of his live mixes on his website www.soundfactoryboston.com. Nailz has only been spinning for about a year (maybe a little more.) And he's really good! He has a residency on Thur nights at Venu, probably the only club up here that plays mostly hard house. He's young, eager..you really should hear him. I heard one of his sets from about a month ago & I couldn't believe how good he was. Its amazing how fast he's learning. Anyway, Nailz works for Manny at his store (Sound Factory Music) & they had a DJ spin off or whatever you want to call it in May. It was totally unbelievable! They have been talking about Part II for a while, and this is it. I believe some of Nailz' promoters know some of the promoters at Exit..anyway they are opening the new room at Exit. There are a lot of us coming down for it- everyone's really excited. Manny & Jeremy (Nailz) are not only awesome DJ's, but they are wonderful people. Its so good to see DJ's that aren't cocky, rude, etc...Manny is seriously one of my favorite people!! I really hope some of you guys come hear them spin...I think it will be real interesting to see what you NY peeps think of our favorite DJ's! Hi, I was with about 15 people on Sun who were all on them...they were all real banged up (couldn't dance, move, talk, etc) yet they were up for like 18hrs...one of my friends described it as a real intense acid trip. Its hard to believe that there's no info on them on dancesafe (they've been floating around here for at least 3 weeks)....did you try bluelight?? Addaboy- I hear ya on Fernando. The first (and only) time I tried to go to Twilo he made me feel like a little insignificant nothing...I swear he ruined any fun I could ever have at that place. I was at Oakie at Avalon on Fri & it was f****n ridiculous. Total mob scene, pretty much no vibe, and yes, he closed with Zombie. The reason?? Well probably because more than half the crowd that was there were people who frequent a certain club on Sat where songs like "Ecstasy" are still on the weekly playlist & "I Never Knew" is..umm..new. (Pathetic, huh??) Romeo- I know you know what club I'm referring to... Anyway, these people were chanting the Zombie song throughout the night- maybe he thought thats what the crowd wanted to hear. How many years have O&A been on in NYC now? I remember hearing them about 2 years ago in the afternoon & I was psyched because they used to be on up here in Boston. They got fired a couple years back because they announced (on April Fools Day) that the mayor was dead & he was pretty pissed...anyway now the radio station that used to have them has gone way down hill & their competition (who carries Stern in the morning) does the best of O&A sometimes....so I guess if I was still living down there I'd have to say O&A!! ------------------ "Close your eyes & dance like no one is watching"

Hey Phoenix, Yeah its me..hey I hate to start drama & I know you love your star rating but mine sucks..but I haven't posted on here in like a year or so...hope everything is good w/ you- I was SF 2 weeks ago- it was ok..got really mangled w/ some old college friends!! I'm coming down the shore in July- either the weekend of the 14th or the 22nd..I'll prob. stay in a Sleazeside motel 'cause I'm bringing some friends..can't wait to see the deeper house!
