They are worried about certain aspects of the night. We are tryin to secure another venue...If its not done by Monday..We are dumping the date..there will be no nj or nyc date. The tour is booked through clear channel ent..all the proper procedures were taken for us to secure this tour. HB was behind us and thats why we booked it...we are bringing ultimate clubbing to NJ. But when a venue backs out on you last minute...its hard to recover. We will let you know Monday...thank you for bearing with us as we try to bring new things to jersey...rome wasn't built in a day remember that! Thanks!

  6. The future of US hip hop label Tommy Boy Records is in doubt after news broke that the company is to fold into music industry conglomerate Warners. "It’s all going down the pan," admitted a Tommy Boy spokesperson. "Warners are acquiring us, but we’re waiting for pen to hit paper and until then we’re carrying on as normal." Tommy Boy recently celebrated their 20th anniversary amid a spate of rumours that head honcho Tom Silverman was looking for a buyer for the company. The label, which in the past heralded the success of acts like De La Soul, was unable to make an official comment at time of press. However, the spokesperson revealed: "Tom still has the Tommy Boy name, and he still wants to continue with some of the acts." Masters At Work were one of the acts due to release material on Tommy Boy in the near future. Their ‘Our Time Is Coming’ album – the first MAW production album in a decade – is being rescheduled for release later in the year.
  7. Fatboy Slim has revealed to Radio 1 that he has remixed Macy Gray's track 'Sexual Revolution'. They didn't actually meet up in the studio this time but had a little rendezvous in Brazil. He told Radio 1: "We were with the record company person who was looking after Macy, who said she partied hard and then she was suppose to do an interview the next day and went shopping instead and went AWOL." The pair have worked together before on his single 'Demons', when Norman told everybody that she lived on "Planet Macy".

  12. Choo Choo’s Mara have joined Peter Gabriel, Way Out West and The Roots as they have all collaborated with one time epic-Houser Brian Transeau (aka BT) for his fourth album. Interrupted by a phone call from Brian’s management during a long studio session working on their upcoming remix of Dino Lenny’s “I Feel Stereoâ€, Barry Gilbey and Sara Whittaker-Gilbey of Mara were told that Brian wanted to work with them as he had been following their music for some time. Of the collaboration, Sara Whittaker-Gilbey said, “it’s really exciting to be working with such a good producer, particularly as we’re really happy with what we’re doing at the moment and it’s wicked that someone has actually noticed!â€. Brian spent four days working with the duo in their Devil’s Kitchen studio in Sheffield but during the sessions Brian’s studio in LA was broken into and his album material was stolen along with a large amount of studio equipment. No details of the track are available, and the Choo Choo camp are remaining tight lipped about it, other than when asked Barry Gilbey stated that “it’s a break beat track†and that “the shit with Brian’s studio made things really hard for him during the week, I just hope it gets sorted for himâ€.
