I'd defenetely go back to the early sixties, to California and go to Venice beach with my guitar to meet Jim Morrison, and start a band with him... I would call it 'The Doors' hehehehe I wish I could've been there those days... But knowing all I know now, I would jump right thru the 70's and 80's, and come straight back up to around 1998... I think he's more of a clown than a Magician... He is nothing but a product of ABC's rating hungry producers... He will do whatever the show managers tell him to do... I saw a big part of the show on TV, and it was really lame... Footage of the guy entertaining new yorkers, doing card tricks and low budget magic tricks... And what was the people cheering for when the guy came out?! That he wasn't dead!?!? I would cheer if he spent 3 days in an icecube and then comes out and sprints a 1/4 mile... Now THAT would be impressive... Leaving the scene in an ambulance all bugged out was not my idea of accomplishment... I really hated this guy, or not the guy.. maybe I just really hate ABC... I've been up for four days straight... Last Semester the week before finals... Pulled 2 all nighters on wed and thursday, went to NYC on fri, and partyed all satur-day n night... went to bed on Sunday morning.... Damn!!! It was an excellent show... The visuals on the 2 screens were absolutely sick!!! They also had live shots of Oakie spinnin and shots of the crowd that would appear on the screens mixed with random images... I really liked it. Hey 'twiloman'!! Welcome to the board!! hehehehe Yes, Yes!!... Oakie was unfuckinbeleivable!! From minute 1, what a way to start his set... "Like an Animal", U2's "Beautiful Place", and so on and on deeper into what seemed to be one hell of a set... Tunes like PVD's "Rendezvous" (from his Tranceport days) and "Come with Me" (from his epic "Resident" @ Cream CD), at least for me and appearently for the rest of the crowd were the climax moments of the night... The combination of Oakenfold's anthemic trance and glorious tunes, with the two gigantic screens blazin visual graphics, along with the set of lights surrounding the screens were all OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Underworld's Darren Emerson was pretty fuckin good as well.... Overall, What can I say!? It was one 'helluva' show!! It was worth every penny and more!!! I'm finally back online!! hadn't been online in over 4 days!! But now I can check those Oakie reviews! What can I say!! FUCKIN AWESOME! Oakie IS the Master!! The show was - u n b e l e i v a b l e - Darren Emerson was pretty fuckin good too! But as many of you already mentioned, I think I almost exploded when he played that song "COME WITH ME"!!!! I couldn't beleive it! I was jumpin up and down like a kangaroo on coke! Oakenfold's set was everything I expected and MORE!! Defenetely worth every penny. I can't wait to catch another one of his performances... Any clues when will he be back to the US?!?! I hope u guys enjoyed it as much as I did! ------------------ Peace, Love & Twilo for Everyone!!!
