  1. Thats of the "brown and black" debate...some say brown and black look okay together, some say it's a no-no. I say that suit with a beige shirt and maroon pin stripes will be a dismal failure...plus, if you totally loved the idea you would, at least, have the confidence to pull it off and make it look couture acceptable, but otherwise the suit and bad color combo will wear you.
  2. well. I see what you (dg) mean now....there are those people that drop names because they were glued infront of mtv/vh1/full frontal/etc. for hours and just to be cool. Point taken.

    your sexual kinks

double pen. (ah the techie terms, does that speak volumes?), occassional golden shower (in the shower), men or women sucking on my toes, voyerism, public fornication, spankings while i'm in lubed up latex and looking at things I'm not ready to do yet...fisting, odd insertions, and pony-play (uh...its when humans are the ponys and other humans ride them...just to be perfectly clear!). I hope others respond affirmatively to my post or ignore it because this is the first time i've ever told strangers. THERE, I FEEL BETTER!
  4. angelina jolie selma blair milla jovovich
  5. what about the dyslesix (sp?) people who want to wear indian or japanesse labels? No seriously though...at one point or another we all looked to someone to pronounce it first, so we didn't seem so "un-hip" or "chic-less" as it may be. I wear a label because the designer understands the expressions I want to express (you can gag now, but it's true)---so linguistics and language pronunciation...not to mention spelling (im horrible) is secondary...possibly third. Tell the person, nicely how to say it...you'll probably feel alot better than rolling your eyes like a cynical new yorker...because only lame transplants from ohio do that anymore.
  6. This past May my car wrapped itself around a telephone pole. The car was reduced to 5 feet in length (from a Grand Prix) and literally wrapped around my body. The car was cut from encircling me and I got out with a scrape on my forearm and a balck and blue on my thigh (the size of a dollar). All because it was wet out and my tire blew out ...and the car rear ending me. Drive safe. I still won't drive.
  7. No, I don't think that writing to a prisoner up river will win any bright idea awards. No, offense. There's plenty of ladies with bad frosted hair in Texas that write, anyway.
  8. Hogan has always been wonderfully made for men, ladies too. Check them out!
  9. wow...wow...wow...excellent Alexander McQueen Jeans for this fall that have leather edging and thick laces up the back and another pair with a leather low-rise waist with the jean suspended another inch (wax ladies, wax) below that. The boots he did lace up the back. In rich black or chestnut brown. Gorgeous! He is mad...has anyone seen anything else of his that they care to rave about.
  10. I've seen them all over for this fall, paired with the hippie-boheim. look that has been the rage (for how long now?). It's an interesting "hi-lo" mix. It puts edge into that comfy look. Bottega makes the most luxe moto jacket ever-although its 15,000. On a less costly scale, still inflated though, dior 2,500. but it is such a tough and timeless look. I'm excited just thinking about it.
  11. I lurked from 97 to 2000 maybe 2001, when I finally registered and posted here and there
  12. As with anything, certain people pull it all off...that said I think if you don't overdo the look (see: Madonna) and make it look as if it's your favorite hat (or shirt, glasses, shoes, look) that you've had for oh so many years...people don't notice it as an in your face trend as much. Sevigney and Milla Jovovich do that well. Just wear it, like you started the trend, confidence and complements should follow.

    Jeans!

Marc Jacobs fit me in the ass perfectly...Seven jeans, Earl, and JPG fit well too. Rolled up if i'm hot Stella Mc Cartney is showing tight ankles this fall...going to buy a pair, but I'm not sure i'll wear them alot...it's weird to go from boot cut and staight legs to 80's ankle huggers. They look fresh after all the loose ankles. tight...im young I want to show that shit off...ha ha
  14. yeah, thanks for the feedback...I thought it was the oddest statement of the year.
  15. I am going (to "Above 60") with a friend of mine who is notorious for picking the worst places. She's a writer for a magazine and the places always end up being horribly over hyped...she writes the blurbs--so shes biased. Can anyone tell me that this place is going to be okay and I won't have to fake a headache mid-way through the night? Umpf!
  16. best black shoe would have to be the obvious manolo blahnik...however the most comfortable to dance all night in would have to be a pair of low heeled (1 1/2")guissepe (sp?)zannotti. actually comfortable...very sexy and very interesting.
  17. marc jacobs vs.sean combs Russell Simmons angry with CFDA board for choosing marc over p.diddy .... is there even a contest...im sorry but there is a difference between having the money to promote your line and having the talent. "p.diddy" may have sold more quantity---but we all know quality
  18. Look by The pink pussy cat...there are alot of stores that have racey little numbers around there. If all else fails go get estimates as to how much it costs to have it made. It's always cheap to do greek mythological temptress...grapes over specific areas, ivy, togas draped delicately. The devil or a sexy witch. Cave woman...her clothing torn to shreds...messy bedroom eyes/hair.
  19. I want that coco old formula so badly...$60 is alot for chanel, however it says alot when you wear it, you know? If you can get me a discount on louis vuitton, I'll buy you the chanel set...seriously. Pm me.
  20. I used to go to Montclair, b/c I was undecided for a while and I wasn't blowing major bucks for an undecided major. Right now I live w/ my dad in the city, b/c I'm taking care of him. Pm me we talk about fashion.
  21. I knew his older brother...we went to school together...like any suburban town, but especially ours, drugs aren't considered a real threat by parents and teachers b/c the "it doesn't happen in my home" mentality exists. Denial is rampant. You can't even point fingers after the fact, how do you pin point it before...whats experimentation and recreational use vs. sensible moderation. How about a bad batch...yeah we all know who our dealer is...but does that make a difference in a batch of 20,000 or so? i guess it makes a diff. if you get the one in 20,000. The wake was horrible, but how many will go out this very weekend and trip? I don't worry about stuff like this, b/c I can't do stuff anymore...heart palpitations. Uhh...it makes you think, but for how long?
  22. The best element for me in house is the layering effects. You take one song; folk, rock, blues, jazz...what have you...and add a beat, take away an instrument, deepen/lengthen/speedup/slow down/fade songs together...and you have a whole new twist on the original lyrics and feel of the song. It is an all encompasing genre. The beat just translates how I feel/or dictates how I feel...who knows...thats up for grabs.
  23. my boyfriend wears them and he always gets compliments from women and men when we're out (lounge, club, bar). It doesn't look good on everyone. Like anything, if your self-conscious or unsure about it...that shows, not the stylin capris.
  24. I have a contract with Nordstroms...thats not the jacket...it's vintage...brownstone studio. there not around anymore...which is crazy because I have a vintage silk shirt from them...isn't that always the case?
  25. Limelight...in 1993/I was 14...I was in love from the get-go. Disco 2000 parties, circus parties (i think that was LL, who can remember), black out time. foam pit. horrible fake id, which was uneccessary as it was.
