Ahh a topic that definately interests me... Okay heres the story....I use to date this guy. Hes got money, makes about 200G a year, drives a brandy new porche boxter, good looks, substance, the whole nine. I first liked him for who he was then saw how much I couldnt STAND him. Basically the reason was b/c he did everything to please others. He bought materialistic objects to make others accept him. Sad, yes, but thats how this boy is. At the present time, we are friends and chat on occasion and do dinners. The sad thing is, he dates women who actually use him for the status he has. For the car he drives. The Armani suits he wears...you get the picture. For me, that means jack shit and he knew that. He could tell Im not a materialistic female n any way shape and form. pparently thats why Im 99% his ideal woman. But he knows he's dating this gold digging fools. He has the comon sense to see it just chooses to live with it as a reality. I think if guys have enough common sense, the woman's actions will tell them all. Its really simple to see if someone cares about you or are into you the person. They do things to show their interest. They pick up the phone to call just because. They may even buy them silly little things to show affection as well. I thinkeveryone can pretty much tell when someone likes them if they are observant, If not, then they are just blind fools.. Okay so Im not a guy but I have read in many books that the smell of vanilla is one of the best aphrodesiacs (sp) known. For some reason it affects the mens senses and totally turns them on. Maybe they are hoping that they females they are approaching have a little more substance to them and can be adult enough to look PAST looks. Me personally, I prefer to get to know the person on the inside. Im no freakin super model so why the hell should I be judging??? More power to the guys who dont have all the looks. As funny as it may in fact sound, I was probably the only 4th grader who knew who Metallica was ... lol. I think it was about 6th grade when the black albulm came out. I titally grew up in the head banger era sportin the flannel tops, ripped jeans and bomber jackets. Guns n Roses is one of my old time favorite bands! Life of Agony, Warrant, Aerosmith, Obituary, Temple of the Dog, Sound Garden, Pantera...I listened to them all. Yet much of this was developed by listening to Floyd as an infant as well as Zep, Jimi, the Who and Cream thanks to good old Mom! Well thankfully I dont think I need to resort to prozac. I know a few people on it and it doesnt seem like something I would ever want to have to be on. I just need to make some slef improvements thats all. Forget the past. Live life for now and realize there is much more to this world other then partying and clubs. Piano lessons though...probably not good for me being I have small fingers. But ya never know. Pottery seems to be something I am going to look into though as well as some mind freeing exercises. Thanks everyone for your input. Ill think about each in their own and decide which best suits me. And Roby...noone made a pact to give up clubbing...lol. Or if they did I wasnt around for that one. Just a conscious decision I am making for myself. My best friend is also going that route and we are doing it for our own personal reasons which I do not plan on devulging on the board. Ohhh the suggestions are all good and all but I need motivation to get me exercising. The way Im feeling lately, thats not happening unless I drag someone along with me. I was considering getting back into my crafts night...actually no I am going to do it. But I have been trying to listen to more layed back music. Lenny Kravitz has been blasting on my stereo quite often...his voice just soothes me I guess. As for getting fucked up...nope not gonna do it. I have to pull away from all that so seeing me partying will be rare I guess we'll say for now. Thanks for the suggestions. Anyone know a really good way to relieve stress and maybe slight depression? Maybe some type of hobbies that make the mind move but it keep it busy from reflecting on disturbing thoughts? Nothing to do with clubs and partying though. They seem to only remove everything for a few hours. Something more involved and sober.
