  1. I went there after hitting Chaelra with a few friends..... the Touch Bros had been playing there for Sean's birthday. That was a fun time -- extremely cool atmostphere, too, unlike what apparently occurred at Vinyl. But what's up with all the "THERE ARE UNDERCOVER COPS HERE" signs at Twilo now? Are they all lined up for a Vinyl-esque beatdown as well? ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  2. I'm a discriminatin' man...... I prefer ladies with a pulse and no track marks..... ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  3. Women in their 30s are hitting their sexual peak...... what's not to like about that?! ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  4. While I can't remember my exact thoughts, I believe they were along the line of: "Oh my God, the MUSIC!" ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  5. 55th and 11th/12th Ave here, in the shady building adjoining Exit. ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  6. Bleh. Nothing so cool is gonna happen while we have the moral "majority" leading America around by the short hairs..... IMHO. ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  7. I go to the World Gym, up by Lincoln Plaza -- they have a special there for $199/3 mos. ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  8. I'm looking more along the lines of Net access in _any_ car.... Escorts, Civics, Darts, Rabbits and the almighty Novas deserve to be hooked up, too! ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  9. How do you send private messages? I managed to send one a few hours ago, but I can't seem to find that page again. In any case, thx! ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  10. Ho's are cool. ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  11. I forgot..... Moscow Mules are good. I dunno what the fizzy stuff is (maybe 7up?), but it's got vodka (usually Smirnoff) mixed in. Apparently in Scotland they sell it in bottles, instead of as a bar drink...... _really_ good. My sister brought some back with her after a semester abroad...... ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  12. The webcast thread is here, although it probably won't do you much good if yer in car. Unless your ride is hooked up with Internet access..... (*drool*): http://bbs.clubplanet.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/003093.html HTH....... ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  13. Need to find some rolling goodies first....... ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  14. Red Bull and vodka is pretty good..... I like it w/o ice, but both liquids chilled beforehand. And if foo-foo drinks count, Mint Mudslides are the best...... ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  15. Then I'm assuming we're both in the 4th group..... I've been quite impressed with a lot of the trance I've heard thus far, regardless of whether orartist. I'm going to Oakey on Saturday cuz I love the Tranceport stuff of his I've heard, in addition to all of his early stuff (@Home in Ibiza, Gatecrasher, his live China set, etc). It would, indeed, be a different story if I were going because I wanted to say "I went to see Paul Oakenfold". My first rave was awesome -- and I don't even know who the DJs were. They probably aren't big, they're probably local talent that likes to spin at FUN, perhaps clandestine venues (or at least until they get discovered ). That didn't make it any less cool. I dunno.... I like popping onto Winamp radio, hearing good music and then trying to find other stuff by that artist. I didn't even know Tiesto was a big-name DJ until I asked on this board! So yeah.... basically, live for the music. ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  16. Spoonyd: I thought I'd expound a bit on my feelings on raves -- don't worry, I'm not flaming you. I've only been to two raves thus far -- one had mild security at best, but it was EXCELLENT, because it was 21+ and everyone was mature enough to be on their best behavior. The second one was in CT, and it wasn't so good, IMHO -- crowd was too young (16+), the line was 2hrs long (security was understaffed, anal, incompetant) and there was a stabbing (which should never, EVER happen at a real feel-good rave). I haven't heard of any huge, illegit warehouse raves in NYC just yet... which is something I'd love to do. But my first rave was pretty small, held in a roller rink with maybe 400-500 peeps, and it was AWESOME -- my first step into the club / rave scene in NYC. I'm not a huge fan of Twilo -- I've been there 2, maybe 3 times, and it's too crowded for my tastes. Plus, the DJs I've heard there haven't impressed me so much. I'm not a big fan of glowstickers..... maybe if there were more space, that'd be cool, but I don't want shiznat swinging where I could be dancing. I'm a bigger fan of the rave scene, as opposed to the club scene, specifically because the people who go there don't go to be seen, but to have a good time -- everyone does their own thing, is respectful and courteous to everyone else. Real raves seem to be on the down-low in the city, which just means you have to network and search a bit harder to find them....... I'm not into going to clubs to see all the skin and stuff -- I want to go to DANCE. Doesn't matter if I don't have a super technique or mad-moves -- it's all about the music. I get the feeling that clubs don't have that same attitude / vibe...... Did this make any sense? Did I ramble too much? I don't think I was arguing with you...... just my personal opinions. ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  17. Diva: Nice. =) Dzadza: Totally..... do you mind firing me your email addy? Mine is tekboy23@hotmail.com -- I'll give you the URL to the mailing list where I get most of my Internet-related underground stuff from. ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  18. Sorry, I'm still catching up on some of the abbreviations being tossed around here. What are "BT", "SF" and "PVD"? SpoonyD -- I just fired you off an email.... sorry it took so long! ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  19. STAR BLAZERS! ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  20. Yup, no crotch-grabbin' here either..... ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  21. I'm just curious..... does all this commotion stem from men who can't dance, or shirtless muscle men, or a combination of the two? -=Vejita=- ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  22. RCN Internet rocks. Hmmmm.... well, if yer bored, you can always create a fortress out of yer office furniture, and then threaten anybody who comes near it with bodily harm unless they sign a treaty of neutrality....... ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  23. dzadza: Well, I guess that's unfortunate, but I don't see any reason in waiting for trance to come to the mainstream clubs and stuff. The underground scene here seems to be pretty lively, to say the least, and I find that environment more relaxed and easy-going than at places like Twilo or Exit. Not dissing the clubs here -- just saying that trance is already out there. You just have to look a bit harder...... ------------------ -=Vejita=-
  24. My apologies..... sorry to exclude the non-WinTel crowd. I honestly don't know the _best_ Mac player around, but here is at least a player to get you started: http://showcase.netins.net/web/phdss/mp3/players/mac/macamp.htm ------------------ -=Vejita=-
