  1. Muzikweekly is the seven day internet news service generated by Muzik Magazine MUZIKWEEKLY EXTRA! Muzikweekly are extremely pleased to reveal the official nominations for this year’s Muzik Magazine Dance Awards. The announcement took place yesterday evening at the AKA Bar in central London with dance industry audience awaiting on tenterhooks. Narrowing it down to the final list wasn’t easy but we can say without a doubt, as in previous years the chosen nominees are the people currently making the most noise in the dance world. This not-to-be-missed event will take place on Tuesday 15th October at Hammersmith Po Na Na in West London. The awards will see the appearance of many surprise special guests as well as the notorious after-party, which has seen Coxy, Tenaglia, Morillo, Fatboy Slim and Sasha DJing until the wee hours of the morning. The full nomination list along with voting forms can be found in the September issue of Muzik, out on Wednesday 14th August... so there’s no excuse not to have your say as to who picks up a gong on the Awards night! 2. Save money and avoid Ticketmaster surcharges by purchasing your tickets directly at Nation. $20 for BT | $25 for Sasha | $15 for Crystal Method. Here are Nation’s box office hours. If you go during the day (12 noon – 6 p.m.), go to the side entrance marked 1015 Half St. SE, rather than the front entrance where the lines normally are. Ring the buzzer. If you go to Nation during a night event, just go to whichever entrance is open and ask where to purchase advance tickets. Remember that day of show ticket prices are full price (i.e. buying BT tickets this Friday, Aug. 7 at 12 noon or at 12 midnight will be the full price -- $30). You can still purchase Sasha and Crystal Method tickets at the discounted price on Friday, Aug. 7. Just the BT/Honeydew 4 tickets go full price this Friday at noon. The hours below are the hours that the box office is open, not the hours of operation for Buzz. On Aug. 9th, 16th and the 23rd, Buzz will be open from 9 p.m. - 7 a.m. Main room opens at 11 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7 — 12 noon – 9 p.m. (HoneyDew $20 | Sasha $25 | Crystal Method $15) Thursday, Aug. 8 — 12 noon – 1:30 a.m. (HoneyDew $20 | Sasha $25 | Crystal Method $15) Friday, Aug. 9 — 12 noon – 4 a.m.(HoneyDew $30 | Sasha $25 | Crystal Method $15) Saturday, Aug. 10 — 9 p.m. -- 4 a.m. (Sasha $25 | Crystal Method $15) Monday, Aug. 12 — 12 noon – 6 p.m. (Sasha $25 | Crystal Method $15) Tuesday, Aug. 13 — 12 noon – 6 p.m. (Sasha $25 | Crystal Method $15) Wednesday, Aug. 14 — 12 noon – 6 p.m. (Sasha $25 | Crystal Method $15) Thursday, Aug. 15 — 12 noon – 1:30 a.m. (Sasha $25 | Crystal Method $15) Friday, Aug. 16 — 12 noon – 4 a.m. (Sasha $35 | Crystal Method $15) Saturday, Aug. 17 — 9 p.m. -- 4 a.m. (Crystal Method $15) Sunday, Aug. 18 — 6:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. (Crystal Method $15) Monday, Aug. 19 — 12 noon – 6 p.m. (Crystal Method $15) Tuesday, Aug. 20 — 12 noon – 6 p.m. (Crystal Method $15) Wednesday, Aug. 21 — 12 noon – 6 p.m. (Crystal Method $15) Thursday, Aug. 22 — 12 noon – 1:30 a.m. (Crystal Method $15) Friday, Aug. 23 — 12 noon – 4 a.m. (Crystal Method $25) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even before coming to New York City in 1995, The Riddler was making moves to take him to new levels in his career. Starting in the music industry as a DJ, The Riddler's record bag was filled with early Electro, Chicago House and Hip-Hop records. His favorite DJ's at this time were, and still are, considered legends; Bad Boy Bill, Julian "Jumpin' Perez", Cash Money, and DJ Aladdin. "I loved the way they all would cut, scratch, transform, and do tricks, but Bad Boy Bill would do all of that combined with house tracks all while mixing like a mad man! They gave me inspiration to do it all." Originally born and raised in Chicago, DJ Rich's musical trek began in Texas. While living in the Lone Star State, he held club residencies in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio every week, and even hosted radio mixshows in each market at the same time (104 KRBE, 98.7 KHFI, and 102.7 KTFM). During November of 1995, DJ Rich moved from Texas to New York City, landing a job with the prestigious Tommy Boy Records. Shortly thereafter, Rich took to the New York Radio Airwaves on Z100 (WHTZ). With his Saturday night mix of Dance and Hip-Hop, DJ Rich kept a balanced attack to excite the Big Apples Saturday night listeners. Voted Hotmixer of the year at the Dirty Dozen Awards during the 2000 Winter Music Conference, in addition to becoming 1999 S.I.N Mixshow DJ of the Year, all led to more opportunities in the radio industry. The Riddler has had some successful compilations such as MTV's The Grind (Tommy Boy), Planet Dance (Tommy Boy), Club Series Vol. 4(SHR/UC), Club Series Vol. 5(SHR/UC). Currently, His new CD - DANCE MIX NYC(Tommy Boy) is a collection of current KTU Hits such as Jessica Folker, Tamia, Da Buzz, P2000, Digital Allies, Melanie C., Amber and others. Furthermore, The Riddler has produced and remixed some successful projects like the Gold Selling Single "Jock Jam Mega Mix", and most recently Eden's Crush "Love this way" and "Get over yourself" on the Totally Dance compilation (Arista), as well as Melanie C "Never be the same again". 103.5 (WKTU) is "The Riddler's" next radio show, showcasing his talent next to an All-star DJ lineup including the likes of MTV's DJ Skribble, Grammy Award Winning David Morales, Hex Hector, Johnny Vicious, and Armand Van Helden. A man of many hats, DJ Rich "The Riddler" is ready to show us how they play it during WKTU's "Mix at 6" ,"RSL" and now Saturday Nights for the KTU Hitfactory Level 2.
