  1. Damn, I was trying to get my friends to go to JP with me the past 6 months, and the only time I can't go, like 15 of them decided to finally go. They didn't believe me when I told them JP got alot better in the past year. I heard JP about 3 times the past few months. The thing I noticed about JP is that he's kinda inconsistent. Sometimes I think the music sux, but other times I think its just amazing. When he's on fire, its like the most amazing tribal and tech house beats I ever heard. He's currently my 2nd favorite DJ behind PVD. Anyways, just wanted to know if he was good or not this past Saturday.
  2. He came on around midnite, and ended around 7am. So about 7 hours.
  3. On 2/16/07... that nite I went to PVD @ Crobar, and a girl friend of mine called me asking where's the party at that nite. Well, PVD was craziness, awesome, and packed, so I wasn't able to get back to her that nite, so they didn't know where to go that nite. They ended up going to China Club, and a couple days later, yelled at me for not getting back to her that nite. She said China Club was the worst clubbing experience of her life! It was mad ghetto, a bunch of thugs, and was the first time she had to go through metal detectors to get into a club. Now you know its bad when there's metal detectors. Oh, and she counted 7 fights that broke out right by her. I bet there were probably more that she didn't see. I think China Club is worse than bad... its dangerous.
  4. God damn, I had very high expectations being that he's the #1 DJ in the world, and he still blew me away!!! Friggin awesome is all I can say... I've heard him at least 8 times before, but this nite was the best music I ever heard in the 12 years I've been clubbing, raving, and partying. I was sober, but he kept me dancing all nite... I didn't think I could last that long. He mixed it up a bit... played only a little bit of mellow trance, lots of hard house, and of couse tons of the banging hard trance I go to see him for. His trance was not the uplifting ones other trance DJs play... it was darker, harder, and with alot of attitude. The multi-colored laser light show was amazing too. I had a blast! I recorded only one video cause I was too busy dancing most of the time. One video can not describe how amazing the music was!!!
  5. I used to think he was just okay like a couple years ago, but the past few months, he surprised me and was really good. On New Years Eve, my friends and I paid 75 bucks for advance tix, and we all agreed it was well worth it. Best house I ever heard in the 12 years of clubbing in NYC... I was very surprised that it was that good. Sorry Danny Teneglia... I heard you 3 times this past 3 months and gave you a chance to impress me, but JP impressed me alot more, and his beats is just far superior... no one spins tribal house and tech house as good as JP. Jonathan Peters got ALOT better in the past year.
  6. Danny T will never be the #1 DJ in the world again cause u got all these european, canadian, and who the heck knows voting for PVD, AVB, and Tiesto. Because Danny T and other American DJs like Jonathan Peters dont travel as much internationally like those other guys... its sad that alot of ppl don't even know who DT and JP are. Just heard DT @ crobar again this past weekend, and he was more consistent. Anyways my top 5 this year are: 1. PVD 2. JP 3. Tiesto 4. AVB 5. DT Above and Beyond impressed me alot a few weeks ago... they would move into my #1 as the best DJs in the world if it wasn't for the fact that its the first time I ever heard them. I'd have to hear them again and they'd have to impress me again with their variety of styles... hard house/ hard trance / and uplifting trance.
  7. Last time I went on Thanksgiving weekend, I got there at 6am and he played a sick tech house set at 8:30am, but had to leave by 9:30am. I'll be at another party till 3am... anyone know whats the best time to go to JP?
  8. PVD was playing tons of banging hard trance @ Roseland in November. I'm definitely going to this one with like 50 of my friends. Counting down the days already!!!
  9. Last time I heard Tiesto was at AC in August, and he also spun for like 3 hours. At the end, ppl asked for an encore, for him to play like 1 more song... and surprisingly he didn't and just pissed everyone off. Everyone said that he used to do it all the time... now he's got this big head and thinks he's too good to give his fans 1 more song. From what I remember, his set was good. I just hope this time, he's not an ass again.
  10. I've never heard him, only heard JP, DT, and Boris... but my friends said it was good... they like him cause Morillo's the only DJ they know that plays the house version of Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back" LOL!
  11. Seems to me the Hip Hop crowd is cheap, and they can get that at the closest local bar for free. The trance and house crowd are willing to pay for good music.
  12. It was awesome... I was loving the music... he proves to me again why he's my #1 DJ above Tiesto, JP, DT, and AVB. The best party I went to this year, and my friends agree that it was the best PVD this year. One of my friends said he saw Eric Morello chilling with PVD on stage at the end of the night. Not as many people as when PVD was at Roseland in March, but still had to be at least 2500 in there. This time, instead of the stage being in the middle, they moved it to the left side. With the lasers shooting across the floor the long way, my friends said it reminded them of exit in the old days. Anyways, PVD gets better everytime I hear him... plays tons of banging hard trance.
  13. Jonathan Peters @ Pasha right now! I'm probably going around 4am when it clears out a little so I actually have room to dance. JP's probably spinning till past noon. The last classics party I went to in August was the 2nd best party I went to this year... he played some of my favorite tracks like "Green Court - follow me(Cosmic Gate Mix)". PVD this past Wednesday was the best this year for me.
  14. Haven't heard JP in more than 3 years. I didn't think he was that great back then... too much slow boring deep house. But saturday nite... I'd have to say WOW. I really got taken off guard... I didn't expect him to be that good! The last 3 years have been all PVD and tiesto for me... but now I think JP's my favorite DJ now lol. Was there from 4-11:30. It was cool he played alot of good vocal songs that had good lyrics, and played some of my favorite house tracks like "follow me", but what really did it for me was after 8am. All 7 of my friends left by 7:30, and I kept waiting for him to play crap filler music so I can leave... but it never hapened!... right up to when I was walking out the door at 11:30am, he was playing a slamming hard ass tech house track. I had to drag myself out. I'd expect DJs to be slowing it down, playing more mellow tracks when it gets late, but the later it got, the harder he got! He played some of the best tribal and hard house I've ever heard around 8am-11:30am. BTW - anyone know the name of this female vocal track he played at around 7:30am or 8am. It had some girl singing, "I can't eat, I can't sleep." Its not hard, but its vocal house with catchy lyrics. I think it was like 3 songs before he played "all this time." Oh, and is it just me, or does anyone else think it was wierd he played "all this time" like 3 times with other tracks inbetween for like 30 mins.
