  1. yeaaahhh....Philly represent.... I'm from South Jersey originally, just outside of Philly so I call it mine. Anyway, I've never been to Myrtle Beach, but my good friend moved down there not too long ago, and as far as the clubbing scene goes you're shit outta luck. At least as far as any good hard house, prog. house & trance and the like. I'm sure some places will play very commercial stuff....I'm sure there's a decent amount of people, considering it's summer, so you should have fun. And if you're into extracurricular activities (other than drinking) you would probably do well to bring them yourself... Hope that helped, have fun!!
  2. Not sure if it's older or more recent, but I just heard this track in Ibiza...deep dark track, with the vocals in the background repeating..."the music you were playing....blew my mind...." Anyone know the name?
  3. Did anybody see that 6'2" pale white guy with the booty-hugging old-school shorts and the hairy-ass back that was jumping up and down like a mental patient? That alone was worth $30
  4. Well..... Happykittn I've seen pictures of you, and I must say that imagining you and this girl together would be enough to get most people's pulse racing on this board so....... ...go for it!! I agree with Vixenfoxxy, as long as you feel comfortable with the situation, why not try it out? If you're not comfortable, it's not going to be fun anyway. It sounds like a nice happy medium -- not a complete stranger, but not someone who is like one of your best friends. I'm sure you'll make the right decision...last time I checked, kittens always land on their feet.
  5. July 15th -23rd...and it can't come soon enough...Every once in a while you just need to put your sanity on hold for a bit, know what I mean? PVD baby!!!! L8
  6. Aight den Misskittie!! Let me know if you find anything as well. Even just part of the set would be great. I can still hear Junkie XL's Future in Computer Hell ringing in my ears...
  7. What are the odds that somebody knows of an mp3 of Sasha, PVD, Junkie XL, Jimmy Van M, etc. from the Giant New Year's Eve Party in L.A. this past New Year's? I would kill to be able revisit that night - if that set is floating around out there, I must get ahold of it L8er
  8. OK, here's a longshot... Anybody happen to know if there's an mp3 floating around of PVD, Sasha, etc. from the Giant New Year's Party I could get my hands on? I was out there and would love to be able to revisit that night. I'll kiss the person's feet that could help me locate it. L8
  9. Haven't checked it out on a Fri or Sat yet, but the few Sundays I've been there, I was highly impressed. Nice, loungy feel, good music, and they must screen the door because I swear I didn't see a busted girl in the place. Definitely worth checking out. Matty C: Nice job, bro, keep it going...by the way I work with a girl I think you went to HS with, Jen. I was there the same night as her back on Presidents Day weekend. We were both raving about the place
  10. Oh yeah, and the REAL cheesesteaks are at Geno's...get your arteries ready...
  11. The Olde City area probably has the best bars/clubs area all within walking distance (or at least short cab rides from each other). My personal favorite pre-game spot is Lucy's Hat Shop (or just Lucy's), in the 200 block of Market St. Every time I've gone, the DJ spins pretty good hip-hop (if you're into that). I rarely stay all night though, because it can get very packed. There's a bunch of clubs to go from there, Five-Spot, Envy, Paradigm, and Life are probably the most popular ones. They tend to play more house-esque music, and can be fun if you're with the right group of people. Now as far as some REALLY good music, in case you haven't heard, Deep Dish is spinning at Transit on Delaware Ave. If you like Sasha, Digweed, etc., then I command you to go see them. I think it's $25 at the door, and they go 10PM to 10AM. Sunday I think Kimball Collins is playing at Life, I'm assuming you have off Monday for President's Day? It's going to be a Philly weekend for me too, I grew up in SJ right outside Philly and I'm going down to reunite with the fellas. Fri and Sunday I'm not sure where yet, but Sat. I'll def. be seeing DD. Hope that helps, maybe I'll run into a Happy Kitten somewhere along the way...
  12. Yeah, I'll probably have 6-8 people with me. We'll figure something out. talk to you soon!!
  13. Cool. I got onto the guestlist through that site. Thanks a lot...maybe I'll run into ya....you better be dancing!!
  14. Thanks for the tip AngieM!! One question though: Where are these places? I grew up outside of Philly and still go back about once a month to hang with friends, but I live in Central Jersey now, and I've never heard of Cue Records or About the Beat...you gotta hook a brotha up with some info!!
  15. Anyone know if you can buy tickets in advance for Transit on the 16th? Or how much they are? ...Anyone who has never seen Deep Dish live I HIGHLY recommend it, they're SO worth it. L8
  16. I saw your post in the LA forum, did you end up going to the Giant Party? I was visiting friends in Vegas and we drove to LA, if I had known someone from NJ CP was going out there, I would have tried to meet up wit' ya. How amazing were those sets? I loved that Sasha played Xpander and Junkie XL did Future in Computer Hell, those are two of my favorite fucking tracks that I've never heard live. By the time PVD came on I had to sit down and take a break, dancing on that asphalt was murder on my lower body. I wanted to go to one of the after parties but unfortunately we had to drive back to Vegas to catch my 10:30AM flight back to Dirty Jersey. What an amazing time that was, let me know what you thought.
  17. The link is rathenightclub.com Madness week is going to be here soon.....
  18. PVD is now at the Giant Party in LA at the Coliseum Gardens along with Sasha, Lee Burridge, Jimmy Van M and (I think) Sean Cusick. And myself of course.....God I can't wait.
  19. I'm gonna be in Vegas from the 26th to the 31st. Oakenfold is definately spinning on New Year's Day afterhours, I don't know about New Year's Eve, he may be in Cali first. Me and my friiends are driving to LA for New Year's Eve to see Sasha, PVD, Jimmy Van M, Lee Burridge, etc. at the Giant party at the Coliseum. Check out www.*********.com, its got the info. If you have the means to take the 4 hour road trip, it sounds like its gonna be worth it. Then go back to Vegas and check out Oakie for the afterparty. Siiiiiiiccccccckkkkkk........
  20. Kinda depends on where exactly you're located. As far as Philly goes, Evolution tends to book the most well-known DJ's like Sandra Collins, Dave Ralph, etc.. the venue itself isn't all that, but if you're going for the music, that's a good place. Shampoo is another one that stays open until all-hours. In Old City there's Envy and the Five-Spot. That's about as good as you're going to get. In New Brunswick next Saturday night a new club called Platinum is opening which may be worth checking out, it sounds like it has potential. I'm from South Jersey originally and I love Philly, and they have their moments, but nothing can really compare to the NY scene. Hope that helps!!
  21. Hey ya'all Me and a bunch of people want to put together a party to have for some of our birthdays and I was wondering if anyone's organized this type of deal before. Anyone recommend a place with a decent VIP room, price to reserve, atmosphere, music, etc. A couple that stood out in my mind that I've been to is Cream and Centro-Fly. Just wanted some suggestions before I run around contacting places blindly. L8
  22. ...and you say he's just a friend......
  23. Anyone happen to hear of any particular DJ's that are gonna be out in Vegas this New Year's? It's going to be amazing regardless, but I'm kinda curious who might be out there, so if anybody knows, get at me. L8
  24. You better believe it.... I'm driving down there for the weekend to meet my best friend. He's flying in from Vegas and has his sister's wedding the next day, and he's gonna be tired...eeehhhh...I was at Buzz once last summer and loved it, can't wait, every time I've seen Oakey live he's been solid
  25. Didn't ya'all hear? Oakenfold is remixing the Puffy remix of "Come With Me" which was the remix of Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" from the Godzilla soundtrack!!!!!! After that I hear they're all going to collab with Ray Munns...............eeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! ohhhhh, Christ what is this world coming to????!#!#$@)(
