  1. How do they set it up for a live band to play there?
  2. What stuff does Stretch spin? Dress Code? Crowd? Cover?
  3. So i havent been to a club in soooo long. . ..and i forgot how much fun i have and cant for the life of me remember why i stopped? But DH was fucking awesome. I wasnt really dressed for Arc cuz my friends were all like 30+ years old (i'll be 24 in april) wanted to go somewhere "trendyish" while they were visiting from philly, so i was all glammed out (I hate dancing in shoes). but everywhere we went first sucked. So at like 3AM i decided that we should go to Arc (which we should have just done in the first place).

  5. I'm not. . . . but then again, i dont come around much anymore....who am i anyway?
  6. Picking only ten is tough, but my current favorites are: #1- Peewee's Big Adventure, hands down, then in no particular order..... 2 Usual Suspects 3 The Forbidden Zone 4 Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Attack of the Revenge of the Return of the Subhumanoid Flesheating Zombified Living Dead, Part II. . .In shocking 2D 5 Pink Flamingos 6 Enter the Dragon 7 Battle Royale 8 The Good the Bad and the Ugly 9 Iron Monkey 10 Seven Samurai There are so many others it hurts.
  7. Yes, and i've been saying it repeatedly any time someone brings it up. I know a lot of great people, and i'm not trying to imply anything about anyone specific, but i have too little faith in humanity to think anything other than this would happen. we're all just savage beasts at heart. I know many are going to disagree and thats ok, but i'm not here to argue the basis of human nature. Just that it doesnt suprise me. Every time someone says "Blah blah blah, and it worked in LA, blah blah blah. . . " I stop and say, "I dont care where it worked, this is NYC. Shit is different around here." I hate to say it, but there are lots of assholes around here who are going to do what they are going to do regardless of what anyone else has to say about it. I just hope Mr. Bloomberg has a hard time sleeping, and that those two pricks go to jail and get defiled during their stay (which probably is going to be a lot shorter than it should be).
  8. this is horrible, but for some reason i knew it would happen. I thought it was just a matter of time. I cant beleive it happened so quickly. this is beyond retarded and a shame.
  9. Pardon my ignorance, but what preytell is Pataki's plan? Is it the same ban, only statewide? I tell you one thing, this fuck already has me paying more tuition, and my SUNY school is not seeing a dime of it. In fact, i dont think any SUNY school is going to. Its all going to cover pataki's ass and fill up holes in his budget. Maybe clubplanet should start its own Club Country, where people can just lay off and not be pricks about other people doing things they dont like.
  10. I love rainy days too, but only torrential downpours. Anything else is week and annoying. Theres something juvenile, yet overly fun about running around outside in the pouring rain on a summer day/night.
  11. Speaking of Saeed & Palash, does anyone know the next time they're going to be @ arc? I've heard a thousand different things, but nothing on either the arc or S&P sites say definitely.
  12. I was gonna say.. ..that seems like such a random price.
  13. Eat spicey food. It will clear everything out of your head instantly and helps with your throat too. I woke up this morning with a really bad soar throat and a swollen gland. I had ginseng tea and hotchocolate and bacon for breakfast. The bacon probably didnt help but the other two made me feel a lot better. Then I had 2 spicey jamaican beef patties with extra lotsa Tabasco sauce. Any germ that thought of getting into my sinus' came right out. I feel fine now.
  14. I think in an effort to make people quality of life better, the next bill should include the following: No farting in public. No Homeless people pissing in the subway. No Homeless people pissing in the streets. Actually, homeless are ugly, lets round them up and hide them somewhere. No Drinking alcohol. (cuz that worked last time they tried it) No Dirty thoughts. Mandatory Showering for all who enter or live in NYC. No Yelling. No Pets (they're almost all illegal here anyway) No children in restaraunts. No children on busses. No children anywhere it might bother an adult. No old people driving. No old people in front of you in line for things. No parades (all that litter? Pshaw) No dirty jokes. No burping. No running. No pushing. No talking without a license No Thinking without a license No Dancing without a . . . .oh wait. No R Rated Movies. No TV shows that are "immoral" No Songs on the radio other than Adult Contemporary. No Meat. No foreigners No Minorities. No Homosexuals . . . . . . wait. . .i have a better idea. NO BLOOMBERG!
  15. i wouldnt say "Oh these are my good clothes" Nice. . They're just not sweatpants or dirty etc. They're nicer than your average pair of jogging pants. What it all boils down to is they're comfortable to wear.
  16. What exactly does "Dont Look like a bum" Mean? Like is Really nice silky black Nautica Jogging pants and sneakers? (i suppose everyone's impression of Nice is different too) Or would i be better off in shoes and khakis? (i hate dancing in shoes) And Tshirts? Yes or No?
  17. I quit smoking over a year ago, but i still think this is the most assinine thing. This isnt california, so i dont care how it worked over there. Now they're going to have to worry about all the cigarettes on the ground. Not to mention you're taking the drunks OUT of the bars and making them congregate on the streets where i'm sure these nazis will now whine about the noise out on the streets. They're screwin shit up for themselves and now they're going to blame us again. And i say us because i have friends who smoke and i dont want to leave them outside by themselves. And what about smokers going out and ditching bar tabs? How are bartenders going to keep track of smokers out and in and out and in? And now are all bars, i mean every single bar in NYC going to have to spend the cost of hiring a bouncer to kick out agrevated smokers who refuse to go outside or extinguish the butt? Because the smokers dont get fined, the bars do. 3 offences and they lose their licence. I could go on for hours about the technicalities and the absurdities and the ignorance and the general stupididididity of whats going on, but i'll leave it at this.
  18. Theres much much more to learning how to use equipment than just learning to use a peice of gear. Learning to use it properly and effectively is a whole 'nother story. Anyone with a few grand can get protools, a mic, and an MPC and throw shit down, but there can be soooooo much more to it you'd be amazed. A friend of mine here at purchase applied to 5 towns back when we started college 5 years ago or so and they told him not to waste his time there, that he was well more advanced than they could ever show him (considering he produced and engineered at least one album prior to applying for college) But you have to know your own abilities and choose the school that is suited for taking the level you are at and increasing it to the next level. Then theres always transferring and internships and grad school to go with.
  19. The conservatory of Music @ SUNY Purchase is rated one of the best in the nation. I love the program here. Some of the best professors. (worked on and with anyone from the skatelites, jaco pastorious, Osbournes Theme song, Frank Zappa, And countless others.) The only problem is getting in. tens of thousands apply, less than 60 get in, so you gotta know your shit and not fool around.
  20. You're not really driving unless you drive stick. You're just kinda pointing the car and along for the ride otherwise.
