  1. Don't the Rams play the 49ers next week. If they do make it 0-4 start.
  2. Try Foreign Affairs. An old college friend of mine got his Masters in Foreign Affairs (I believe it was NYU). He now works for the UN and is trying to get a job at one of the US Embassies.
  3. Shwartzkoff (sp?) stated that the US should not go it alone, that they should get UN support. He never stated that attacking Iraq in general was a bad idea. He supports a regime change if it is supported by the international community.
  4. I remember the battle damage he-man. i loved that cartoon and those toys. Man At Arms was the shit and I think I had my first crush on teala.
  5. Doesn't bother me that much and I'm not a big fan of his. Clinton was a bigger joke world-wide. At least Dubya isn't getting his rocks off in the oval office with an intern. I will tell you one thing I am glad that it's not Gore in the oval office. I don't think Bush has done such a horrable job so far. He has done better than I expected, still will not vote for him.
  6. Tony disrespectful or troublesome children are not the product of a lack spanking kids. One has not effect on the other. It's the parents, plain and simple. Like i stated above about my friends kid. They come home from work and plant themselves in front of the Tv and spend absolutely ZERO time with their kid. On the weekends samething. My wife and I will invite them to come with us and our son to the park or museum and they say no. They either go to the mall or sit at home watching tv. When night time rolls around it's off to Grandma's house so they can go out. Now my wife and I do that once in awhile so we can have a night alone, but every fucking weekend. That is the reason why kids are fucked up. parents do not pay attention to them. They don't teach them how to act and guide them down the right path. I'm not saying that parents who spank their kids are bad parents, but that has no greater effect of a child's socialogical development than other forms of discipline.
  7. I am so sick and fucking tired of hearing about this problem. Both sides as quily and responsible for the horror over there. It is just one giant cluster-fuck of a situation that will never be resolved. I say just put Sharon and Arafat in a ring, charge $40 and air it on Pay-per view and let them hammer the living shit out of each other. Those two old senile fuckers are the problem. Neither of them cannot see past the hatred of the other, just sit down and iron this problem out for the good of the innocent Palestinians and Isrealis who are the ones really suffering.
  8. true no one can stop us from attacking, but as far as the UN is concerned Russia, France or China can veto any proposed action they wish to take be it new restriction or militray intervention. That's a good point you brought up about Russia. talk about agendas.
  9. Again you are there to correct me.
  10. From what I have read Congress is close to passing the Use of Force resolution. Saddam's latest back pedaling will probably sway some support Bush's way, but Russia, France and China are still oppossed to war or any new UN sanctions. So that is where the problem lies bacause of their veto power.
  11. Last year was Rose Bowl, year before was Orange Bowl, and I think this year will be Sugar Bowl.
  12. That was way more than spanking. She fucking chocked her kid, she threw her to the floor of the car. There are other ways to discipline your kids besides hitting them. My son is a typical 4 year old. When bed time or bath time rolls around he throws a fit. He wants a toy and we don't buy it for him he throws a fit. And trust there have been times when I have wanted to just crack him upside the head, but he is 4 and I am 28 it's not really a fair playing field there. By hitting a kid you are aren't discouraging him from doing it again. And that line about kids being fuck ups today because Time outs don't work is bullshit. Those kids are fuck up because their parents don't take the time to teach them. I have friends who let their daughter do what ever she wants. I hate to say it but their kid is a fucking brat. They pawn her off with the grandparents all the time. She is already a disciplinary problem at school and she is 4. That is why kids are became problematic not because of methods of punishment.
  13. or Saturday. Or Thursday night for that matter.
  14. The Jets looked pitifull out there yesterday. herm better start kicking some ass in that locker room soon or they can call this season a wash. I think that if they haven't turned things around by mid-season they should give Chad Pennington the go ahead. Better to get a read on him this year then wait till next year. If he doesn't work out at least you have the off season to get a QB.
  15. As much as I love my Irish, the National Championship is not even in the picture. I will be happy with a BCS bowl bid/. All they have to do is win three more games (they need 7 wins to get a BCS bid and only 6 wins to get a top non-BCS bowl bid). As far as their schedule Michigan, Michigan St, and Purdue where all ranked in the top 25 at the beginning of the season. So they are 3-0 against top 25 teams. For the National Championship it's Miami, they look unstopable. I don't see any team out there capable of beating them, but then again you never know. Any team can win on any given Sunday.
  16. As unfortunate as war would be, I for one do not wish to see any dead US soldiers or innocent Iraqi civilians, but feel that military action (or hopefully the threat of will be enough) is the only choice left. I hope that my feelings about the Un are wrong and that they are able to defuse this situation. I have seen enough blood shed in the past year to last me an eternity.
  17. As a parent, they viseo was disturbing. There is no punishment suitable for her actions. Many of times I have been to the breaking point with my son and have never once raised my hand at him. There simply is no excuse for beating on your kids like that. God only knows how many times that kid was hit like that. I'm just thankful that the camera caught her in the act and probably prevented any further torture that child had to endure.
  18. Saddam has shown his true colors. Now it's up to the UN to show it's worth. I personally don't think they will stand up to him. They will probably announce that they are content with just letting the inspectors back in for new rounds of "Cat & Mouse." On another note I read that Congress may be close to OKing Bush's request for "use of force".
  19. I feel the same way. Bush did what the UN wanted him to do, he is doing what Congress has asked him to do. Now if the UN decides that just letting the inspectors back in with the sam conditions as before then they have proven themselves ineffective, but the US should not attack. We should let him screw everyone over so once and for all we can prove that the man must be dealt with.
  20. Saddam has completely out-witted them by his latest tactic. I think that the US government and it's allies should sit back and watch so when it is apparent to all the Saddam has pulled the wool over their eyes we can let out a big "I told you so".
  21. I was never a big fan of ewing, but he is hands down one of the best centers in history. It's kind of sad that he never won a ring, but I don't think he ever had a strong enough team around him to win.
  22. I say Detriot and Cinncinati. Now all kidding aside. In the NFC I say 49ers, though Greenbay, Chicago, and the Bucs have a good shot. The AFC is so damn hard. There are so many good teams. The Pats and Broncos have the best shot. I'm leaning toward the Broncos, but the Jets and Dolphins could be strong contenders. Now if Collins could keep putting up the stats he did against the Rams, the Giants could be a force in the NFC.
  23. I dilike the prospect of war as much as most people do. The last thing i want to see is the young men and women of this country marching off to some god forbidden country to die or watching innocent Iragi civilians being pulverized by comventional weapons. But the fact that Saddam, thought he has no done anything yet, is possible of creating weapons of mass destruction and selling it to the highest bidder. I personally don't want to wait for the smoking gun. he is a threat that must be dealt with. I would like to see the UN grow a set of brass balls and deal with him diplomatically, but to be honest I don't think they will or can.
  24. Do you think this is a sincere jesture or just a ploy to cut off any further and or more stringent (sp) UN resolutions?
  25. I consider myself neither. I like to think that my thoughts and beliefs are not labeled or grouped into one demographic.
