Popular NYC nightclubs to be auctioned By Associated Press NEW YORK, August 6 - Two Manhattan nightclubs that have long been trouble spots with police and New York City officials will be auctioned, according to a published report. The clubs, the Tunnel and Limelight, will be auctioned off to the highest bidder in U.S. Bankruptcy Court on Aug. 13. Peter Gatien, who owns the troubled nightclubs, has said he is ready to end his years-long battle with City Hall. City officials have complained that the Tunnel is a magnet for drugs and violence.In April, a 16-year-old patron was stabbed to death in a parking lot near the Tunnel. Two years ago, an 18-year-old died of a drug overdose there. The Chelsea nightspot has become a central target in Mayor Rudolph Giuliani's aggressive nightclub enforcement effort.Before bankruptcy Judge Robert Gerber ordered the auction sale, Gatien said in June that he was ready to sell the Tunnel privately and move on -- needing to pay off taxes he owes the state. Gatien's debt includes more than $5.7 million in state taxes and $2 million in back rent.Gatien doesn't own the buildings, but the court will sell the club's names, leases, equipment and liquor licenses.

MmmIm from NYC...The clubs in FLA are alot homier like than some clubs in NYC...As for sound systems and light show ...hands down NYC...LimeLight (the old one) Club USA, Tunnel ( muahahha Freaky place ) Underground,,,,and of course bow down to Webster Hall.

Well Here I was HAppy as @#%#@^% WOOT started my weekend on Thursday Muahahahah:D . Well Friday comes ...had a Great Time in Space DJ was Like WHAT! MAn His sets where of the hook...and I did not mind that The Dam horn only went off like 4 times the hole nite...Well that I can Recall....A measuring stick you all can use if u want to see if u are having fun in a club is if u cant recall how many times the Dam Horn has gone off!....I swear FLA should have a DJ law Cant blow the horn more than 1 time ever 3 hours or etc,.....First time i heard that horn i hit the deck thinking F-16 where on the way or a nuke attack. NYC DJ have been outlawyed to blow the horn and have been know to be killed...Well back to the story like I said Weekend started great...but WTF is with people IN SFLA and driven?? Stupid person cuts me off causes me to go onto on comen traffic while rainning thats always a plus..But Then thanks Crash.. MY DAM Drive shaft! and some other shit breaks all i know ...No Drinks that nite no music just a set of wet clothes and no fun and a nice repair bill......Thanks so much mr i cant drive.....Next nite I Go to a Movie Theater thinking sure good time BAH BLEH blasted rain causes movie theater to loose power......
