  2. homie if the cover is your problem, let me know and i'll gladly comp you at the door- wild its impossible to bring back the way it used to be, not just here but all over. Wildlife Wednesdays was probably my all time fav party i used to attend, so filling Manny's shoes over there would be hard. Instead its more of the party being re-born for a new generation, new crowd, and new times to be had. Last week's grand opening was very good. Great looking crowd really into the beats. We expect even better this week. To both you guys and anyone else reading who would like to check it out, feel free to drop me a PM or an email and ill take care of you guys- mb
  3. Join me this Wednesday as we continue WiLDLiFE WEDNESDAYS @ Club Abyss in Sayreville NJ-- Last week we had a great start to the party and we're gonna continue it this week. If you havent been to Abyss in a while, you gotta check it out- Its 18 to party, 21 to drink - 1/2 Priced Drinks all night long! Come see me in the booth and we'll have a drink
  4. sorry i've been a lil behind this month--- Top 10 Tracks for June 2007 1. Smack My Bitch Up (richard durand remix) - Prodigy [WHITE] --Finally got my hands on this monster track that Tiesto has been rocking for a few months now. Durand takes this old school Prodigy track and adds his signature techy drums to it. Add to that a monster build and you have this weapon that destroys any room it finds. 2. Lemon Tree - Marcel Woods [HIGH CONTRAST] --Woods returns with a techy banger that peaks with a nice breakdown before returning to the drummy maddness. Definitely feeling this one. 3. Whine Up (johnny vicious club mix AND acid dub ) - Kat Deluna ft Elephant Man [EPIC] --It takes some talent to turn a record that is huge on the Hip Hop side of things and make a remix that dance heads can enjoy. Vicious exhibits that talent here, and he does it in true Vicious fashion. If you're not familiar with the original, its a hip hop/raegge kinda track that has become a dancefloor anthem this summer. Vicious' club mix basically uses the synth from the original, and adds some drums to keep the mix moving. And in true JV style, he adds a dub that takes it to another level. It has a CLASSIC Johnny V synth breakdown that is reminiscent of I'll Fly With You's dub (gigi d'angustino) and has a harder bassline to the track with some haunting vocal stabs. Its been a while since a track has come out that I can work between the vocal and the dub back and forth, look for this in my sets. 4. Makes Me Wonder (harry choo choo romero's bambossa mix) - Maroon 5 [A & M RECORDS] --I absolutely love the original of this song, so I was interested to hear the remixes done. Harry's take on it is awesome. A nice electro bassline and some effects on the vocals make this a staple in my set for at least the next few weeks. 5. Columbian Soul - Mark Knight & D Ramirez [TOOLROOM] --It appears as though D Ramirez is pulling the dirtiness out of Mr Knight when they team up. The other two tracks on this EP are nasty as well, but my pick of the lot would be this one. A dirty dirty bassline followed by some high pitch pizzicato strings show why this track was a fixture in Tiesto and AVB's sets the last few months. 6. Roadkill - Dubfire [CD-R - WHITE] --One half of Deep Dish, Dubfire starts this track with a deeeeeeeeeep bassline and kick slowly building into a moving track. This track does amazing in my sets to help transition from the downtempo stuff into the tracks that have more movement. Every major jock is in on this one. 7. Break For Love 2007 (david vendetta) - Raze [PARADISE] --Probably my favorite track of the month right here. Growing up I was a fan of the original of this track (even though it was probably a bit 'advanced' for my age in its subject matter haha). Vendetta takes the original melody and updates it with today's electro sound. Every time I play this track, I have people asking about it. That's always a good sign. 8. Welcome to the Jungle - DLG v. G & R [WHITE] --The latest rock remix creation that is blowing up dancefloors, this one take the record that put Guns & Roses on the map and builds and builds it until dropping a nasty beat. People instantly recognize the guitar riff and it works really well with all different types of crowds. 9. The Sunlight - Breakfast [flashOVER RECORDINGS] --So glad to finally get my hands on this one. EPIC trance record being slammed by Armin. Some amazing synths followed by an awesome breakdown. Really on this one- 10. Moments - Hammer & Funabashi [CAPTIVATING SOUNDS] --This is proggy trance at its best. Hammer & Funabashi break it down to a soothing female vocal before bringng back in the hammering bassline. Its easy to get lost in a track like this. Great start to a trance set. Thats it for June. Dont forget u can catch my mixshow on antifmradio.com each and every monday at 4pm and again at 10pm anddddd You can catch me LIVE each and every wednesday night at Club Abyss in Sayreville NJ at my new residency!! mb

  9. Top 10 Tracks of May 2007 1. Fall To Pieces - Jonas Steur ft Jennifer Rene {Blackhole] -- I fell in love with this track about 2 minutes into it when Armin Van Buuren debuted it on his mixshow in March. Now getting it's release on Jonas' album, this track is a great start to the summer. I can't really say enough about Jennifer's vocals. Some of the most beautiful and angelic sounds you will ever hear. You can really feel the emotion she puts into the words, matching the symphonic melodies Jonas has laid down. Check out Jen's myspace page here--> www.myspace.com/jenniferreneb 2. Carry Me Away - Chris Lake & Emma Hewitt [Rising Music] -- This track is another great track with a summer feel to it. With a melody similar to Iio's "Rapture", Emma lays down her vocals over Chris' soothing keys. The driving beats behind it make the track a winner on any dance floor. 3. You - DJ Vibe ft Ithaka [White] -- Straight up chunky, funky tribal madness. The track builds and builds p to a vocal of spoken word that claims, "We are the PLAYERS!!" before dropping into a crazy keyboard over Vibe's customary drums below. 4. Armed - Pryda [Pryda] -- Currently my profile song on myspace, Eric really builds this one up. The first minute of the track simply builds the melody. This is followed by another minute of building beats yet still no bassdrop. Then at 2 mins, BAM! The version you can hear on my profile I added from Eric's page, and is an actual live version of the track, so you can hear the crowd react when that bass drops. Lovin this one. 5. King of My Castle 2007 (sander van doorn) - Warmdue Project [spinnin] -- SVD's WMC weapon right here. Sander reaches back to update this 90's track and adds what you expect from Sander: a kick-ass bassline and a trancy-tech melody to it. Fire. 6. Bigger Love - Sharam [White] -- Another big WMC track right here, this time from half of Deep Dish. This track takes several different directions as it progresses. It has a deep bassline and adds in a male vocal (sounds a lot like Dave Gehan) with a funky guitar over it. 7. Love Is Gone (fred rister & joachim garraud) - David Guetta [Virgin] -- The frenchman returns with what sounds to be the followup to "Just A Little More Love" with this banger. I'm really feelin rister & garraud's mix, with its electro-bomb bassdrop that comes after the vocal. Very catchy vocal, I can see this making a lot of waves this summer. 8. Genetics - Sergio Fernandez [White] -- Normally when I see Sergio's name on a track, I grab it just because he never disappoints. Such is the case once again on this track. I've been feelin all his tracks since "Unforgettable Summer". With "Genetics", he has his trademark drums that keep the track movin, but its the bassline that drops around 2 minutes that really sets the track off. Can't wait to play this one for a packed house this summer. 9. I Am (mat zo) - Marcus Schulz v. Chakra [Cold Harbour] -- Marcus opened his set at Twilo in Miami with this track and it sounded amazing on that system. A haunting female vocal placed over some nice melody and some driving progressive beats make this track fit into any of my sets. 10. Falling (danny woo mix) - DJ Rooster & Sammy Peralta [Tweekd] -- I've known Danny for almost 5 years now, since we both spun in a DJ contest at the Roxy in NYC and he's been producing bangers since then. This track can be heard on his page (www.myspace.com/djdannywoo) and features a vocal that is surrounded by tons of drums and low end sounds. Danny's signature builds add some energy to the track, making it a must for dancefloors this spring. Thats it for this month-- Don't forget to catch my mixshow each and every Monday at 4pm and again at 10pm on www.antifmradio.com mb
  10. i'll also be out for these days comin out from NY def wanted to hit rain, so saturday is best??

  12. Episode 30 of the Bugout Sessions airs today at 4pm and again at 10pm exclusively on www.antifmradio.com With the weather being SO nice out, there's only one thing I wanna hear, VOCALS!!! Nothing better to get you ready for the summertime than some great vocals from back in the day. However, rather than go the typical 'classic' route by playing all the old favs from Reina, Veronica, Kim English ectect, I decided to play a lot of the vocals from the years 1999-2004 that people kinda slept on. You should recognize most of the tracks and hopefully jog your memory. Hour 1 features the ANTHEMS with remixes by the following "who's who" of producers: Hex Hector Johnny Vicious Acid/Skribbles Richie Santana Hani and more Hour 2 starts out with some more chilled out vocals, and then I take it in a whole other direction, taking a page from Manny The Greek and Wildlife Wednesdays at Abyss (WOW!) and rocking a few of the big vocals from that club and that era which was one of my all time favorite parties. Finally I end the show with a remix by Tiesto of DAVE MATTHEWS BAND which is one of my fav vocals of all time, if you've never heard it and you are a DMB fan, you gotta check it out. So it goes down today at 4pm, tune in at www.antifmradio.com and if you miss it, it re-airs at 10pm. Enjoy and enjoy this weather!! See everyone this Saturday @ XL Lounge in Newark, NJ!! mb

  18. Top 10 Tracks - April 2007 Here we go with April 2007's Top 10 tracks... 1. Show Me Magenta (eric prydz mashup) - Arno Cost & Arias v. Robin S. [White] -In my opinion, this for me was the "track of the conference" at the WMC in Miami this year. Arno Cost and Arias' track "Magenta" has been a monster record for not only the trance dj's but house and tribal dj's alike. To me it reminds me of a cross betweem Ame- Rej from last year, and Ira by Daruish. Eric Prydz took the track and mashed it up with Robin S's classic track Show Me Love and the result was magic. If you want to see the damage this track can do, check out this video my friend Robin took at Ink Nightclub in South Beach during an amazing tag team set by Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell--> http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...eoID=2018384321 2. Get Dumb - Steve Angello/Sebestian Ingrosso/Axwell/Laidback Luke [White] -Another monster from WMC, this track is all about the bassline. With some funky stabs, and described by Angello as "forward-thinking house music", its one of those tracks that sounds alright in your car or ipod nut AMAZING on a system or in a club. The sweedish house mafia are running wild with this one. 3. Beautiful - Ferry Corsten [Flashover] -When in Miami, you hear so many sets from so many different DJ's thats its hard to find one track they all have in common. But for trance, this track was it in Miami. Everyone from Tiesto to AVB and the Cosmic Gate were rocking this one. Most notably, AVB at his sunset set at Pawn Shop, I'm told absolutely set the crowd off. Truely a 'beautiful' vocal effected to death but a great uplifitng melody make this track essential. 4. Higher State of Consciousness (tv rock/dirty south remix) - Wink [strictly Rhythm] -Remember the Blade theme? Dirty South and Tv Rock put a new twist on it with this electro banger remix to Wink's track. When the unmistakeable sound of the blade theme hits, crowds go crazy. Look for this one in my sets all month. 5. In The Dark (tiesto's trance mix) - Tiesto ft Christian Burns [blackhole] -Not only as a DJ, but as a regular music listener there's always a song every now and then that you absolutely dislike, and then either thru the radio killing it or another listen, you change how you feel and then end up loving the song. Sound familiar to anyone? I'm sure as music fans, we all go thru this at some point. Well Tiesto's new vocal fits that category for me. My first few listens to his whole album, I put this track as my least favorite and would skip over it frequently. Well then the remixes came out (incl a dope dirty south electro mix that I also suggest to check out). Tiesto made a 'trance' mix to the song and IMO this record is his next big vocal up there with "Just Be", "Southern Sun" and his others. Chrisian Burns lays the vocals (formerly of the boy band, BBMack, remember tha pop song, "back here"?) this track is just amazing in every sense. 6. Plan 9 - Simon & Shaker [Armada] -The boys from Spain always put out bangers, and this one in particular is a fav of mine. The track builds and builds until finally reaching a massive buildup that culminates in a crazy drumbeat. Again, as usually is the case with these guys, the bassline is killer. 7. Shine (jerrall and devas dub) - Space Brothers [Captivating] -I'm always a huge fan of Blake Jerrall's work and this one is no exception. A rework of an older track jerrall and devas put a nice spin on this one which is working nicely in my recent sets. 8. Reaction (martin accorsi) - Austin Leeds v. Medway ft Jennifer [Nervous] -This vocal is dirtyyyy. Accorsi's remixes always have that filthy edge to them, and this track just rings off when the bassline drops. Jennifer's vocals are laid in nicely. The bass drop in this song always draws a reaction. 9. Constellation - Thomas Bronzwaer [Yakuza] -Straight up uplifiting trance right here. I'm digging Thomas' original mix, although the remixes on the vinyl are also very good. Song builds nicely and the piano keys and synths in the breakdown are what do it for me. 10. Deep Inside (johnny crockett mix) - KH [Konverted] -Funky hard electro, plain and simple. When this bassline drops its ridiculous and normally as a clubgoer i'd probably start punching things or people when it drops. Its that hard. haha. Crockett's remix is the best of the bunch on this one, which transitions from the hard bassline attack, to some funky keys that then intertwine with the electro stabs to create a groove that works for either house/electro or trance sets. Thats it for April. Probably the hardest month with so many new tracks coming out of Miami. Check back in May and dont forget to check my mixshow Mondays at 4pm and again at 10pm on www.antifmradio.com You can catch me in Jersey on Saturday April 28th at XL Lounge in Newark mb
  19. The Bugout Sessions this Monday April 2nd at 4pm is a very special show. Tune into www.antifmradio.com at 4pm and again at 10pm if u miss it-- Hour 1 will feature all the tracks that were HUGE at the Winter Music Conference in Miami last week. Didnt make the trip? Tune in to hear what was biggggg-- Then at 5pm, Im Honored to have special guest DJ RICHARD DURAND!! Durand's sound has been amazing lately, with his remixes of tiesto's flight 643 and lethal industry paving the way for original tracks from him such as Inside my Brain and Anytime (both featured on my charts the last few months) Here's some info on Mr. Durand-- Tune in this Monday at 4pm for a can't miss edition of the Bugout Sessions.... Making his appearance LIVE on the BUGOUT sessions this April 2nd 2007 First at 4:00PM EST and again at 10:00pm EST www.richarddurand.com/ Playing all around the globe, Dutchman Richard Durand is slowly establishing himself as one of the big names in the Trance scene. His release â??Make Me Screamâ? was one of the biggest club hits in 2005. At this moment his famous remixes of Tiësto?s tracks â??Lethal Industryâ? and â??Flight 643â? are released worldwide and his newest single â??Slippin Awayâ? will outdo every other release. Next to that Richard Durand was recommended this year by Tiësto in the DJ Mag Top 100 voting, as new big talent! Most people only know this Amsterdam resident DJ under his alias. He was born in 1976 and since a very young age he has been active in music. Ever since he was a little boy he played the piano. His musical youth is a great fundament for the profession what he?s doing nowadays. At this point Richard Durand produces various styles of dance music and is performing as a DJ all over the world. He likes to play the small venues because that way it's possible to keep in close touch with the audience. However he also love?s to play at the big festivals, because it gives him tremendous pleasure to move big crowds. You can find Richard Durand performing everywhere. His record "Make Me Scream" is the first production which was released under his own name Richard Durand. â??Make Me Screamâ? became a huge hit, and was playlisted on the BBC Radio 1 radio show of Pete Tong and also for 4 weeks in a row at the radio show of Judge Jules. For several months â??Make me Screamâ? worked wonders on the dancefloor by big jocks like: Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Johan Gielen, Rank 1, Ronald van Gelderen, Graham Gold, Les Hemstock, Loukas Pour-Hashemi, Colin Sales, Organ Donors, Choose, Michael H, Nomad, Laidback Luke (with his own edit), Jean, Randy Kantana and Cor Fijneman. â??Make me Screamâ? resulted as one of the popular hits in the Trance Scene of 2005. In early 2006 a crazy thing occurred. Richard Durand produced a bootleg of â??Lethal Industryâ?Â, which he passed on to Steve Castro. Steve played it in America, where Tiësto played as well. Tiësto heard the bootleg, thought it was great and called up Richard Durand to set up a remix deal. Richard Durand remixed the records: Lethal Industry and Flight 643 and these will both be released in November on Black Hole Recordings. In December 2006 Richard Durand will release, like Trance.nu says, another Superb release: â??Slippin Awayâ? on Holland?s Terminal 4 records. This record completes a techy sounding Ronald Van Gelderen remix and the vocals of famous singer Anita Kelsey. It looks like it will be his biggest hit yet. At this point â??Slippin Awayâ? hasn?t even been released and already is a favourite play of jocks like: Paul van Dijk, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Judge Jules. Also the reviews on Trance.nu and DJ Mag are with full support. â??Slippin Awayâ? is also playlisted on R.A.W. Radio (ETN and After Hours FM), Kiss 101 (Big Al), Local Spain and SLAM FM (Holland).
  20. here we go for March 2007 in no particular order: 1. Back By Any Demand - Sander Van Doorn [WHITE] Sander is back at it again with an original production that has a beat breakdown sure to move any dancefloor. It starts with a guitar riff that seems wierd, then drops into one of the sweetest kick bass combos I've heard in a while. You can hear a clip of the track here on SVD's myspace (www.myspace.com/sandervandoorn) 2. Everything - Tiesto ft Jes [bLACKHOLE] Just in time for the Winter Music Conference, Tiesto's new album "Elements of Life" has started to circulate. This is one of my early favs off the album and it features the unmistakeable vocals of Jes (remember her from Gabriel & Dresden's "As the Rush Comes"?). A driving techy drumline followed by some nice melodies makes this track a great tool to use to get a set going. Really feeling this one. 3. What Is What (chriss ortega & thomas gold remix) - Soulmaniax [WHITE] This electro-rocker takes the familiar sample from Fat Boy Slim's "Star 69" and works it with some crazy electro stabs. Although FCC regulations prohibit me from airing this track on FM frequencies, you can hear me rocking this one on Antifmradio.com in almost every one of my most recent shows. Ortega and Gold continue to do their thing when it comes to electro. I scoop up almost everything I see their names on. 4. Say It Right (peter bailey's thrown together mix) - Nelly Fortado [WHITE} I promised you this remix would find its way onto my March chart, so here it is. Already getting a huge buzz and play from all the major guys (see Victor Calderone drop it here--> ) This track has the potential to be the "track of the conference" in Miami but its still early. Peter uses a really groovy drumline with some horn stabs on top of it. What makes this remix stand out from all the others (to me) is the breakdown. I feel like PB really captures the emotion of the original song in the breakdown rather than throwing some hard electro beats at it like some of the other remixes. In addition, that breakdown with a packed dancefloor really can do some damage. I can picture Miami right now--Sun Shining, clapping, whistling, cheering, and all belting out Nelly's lyrics like some 13 year old girls haha. Great work by Peter. GEFFEN please do a pt 2 of the remix pack and sign this ASAP- thanks 5. Anthem - Filo & Peri ft Eric Lumiere [VANDIT] Okay so I'm a little biased on this one being that Dom and Bo (Filo & Peri) are Bronx boys like myself, but once again the boys are doing their best to put the US on the map for trance music. I first heard Serge Devante play an early version of this after Tiesto's set at Crobar in late December 2006, and now the track is on its way. The title fits perfectly, as this track is truly an ANTHEM, with a hook that is perfect to sing-a-long to. Although not released yet, look for this track to make a lot of noise in Miami this year, already getting heavy play from PVD and Armin. The breakdown of this song is made for massive trance sets, with hands in the air. 6. Read My Mind (gabriel & dresden remix) - The Killers [iSLAND/DEF JAM] Great job here by G & D to convert this rock song into a dancefloor anthem. The boys always seem to excel at guitar riffs and this track is no different. They really capture the original track and make it dancefloor friendly. 7. It's Not Right (mischa daniels remix) - Dennis Christopher [bOSS] A remake of Whitney Houston's "Its Not Right, But It's Okay" combined with almost the same track from Axwell's remix of Lorraine's "Transatlantic Flight" gives us a funky updated version of Miss Whitney's anthem from years ago. A groovy bassline makes this track really jump up. This track has been doing very well for me, particularly in the beginning to middle of my sets. 8. Missing (delano's vocal mix) - Delano & Crockett [TIGER] Another remake here, of EBTG's "Missing" that I'm feeling. Similar drums to AVH's "You Don't Know Me" with some electro sounds gives this classic a facelift. I'm not sure the name of the vocalist who resings the track, but she does a great job. 9. Secret (duderstadt dub) - Mr. Sam ft Rani [bLACKHOLE] As featured on my most recent trance cd, "My Experience 2007" (download here--> http://www.megaupload.com/?d=F3TJY8IV) this track has a sweet breakdown followed by some huge synths. Duderstadt's dub is a really uplifiting take on an already uplifting track. The result is a massive track that is one of my favs of the month. 10. Anytime - Richard Durand [TERMINAL 4] That man is back again. The follow up to "Inside My Brain" is similar in its electro hard stabs. When these stabs come in, chaos errupts. This happened just this past saturday when I dropped this track at 330am (closing time 4am) haha. Durand once again doesnt disappoint, using driving basslines and beats to keep the track moving. It's the perfect track to run or do some cardio to, as it only briefly slows down for a melodic breakdown, only to return to the madness that we've come to love from Mr. Durand. thats it for this month. In April, I'll be back from Miami with a whole lot of new goodies to discuss-- mb
