    ahhhhh man....ive only been once and it was amazing. people dancing and clapping and cheering everywhere you go. When carl cox was done at space as well as morillo at pacha there must have been like 700 people left in the club and everyone just stood there and gave these guys the biggest round of appplause. Truly a magical place

    Maybe they've gotten older, have other priorities, gotten sick of the stupidity/ignorance/immaturity displayed constantly on here, the constant talk about JP and Factory/Spirit/Black, the overpromotion of parties, the constant spam, the bullshit drama, the annoying mile-long signatures with naked chicks that said poster would never be able to hook up with in real life, the trolls. But that's just a guess. :aright:

    There are still chill people here. The rest should die a slow death. :beer:

    You want a scene?? Come to The Tropical Pub in Belmar on a Sunday. Opens at 12:00 noon (awesome breakfest; huge omlettes if you can eat...), Bingo starts at 1:00, drunken foolery by 3:30. The mix of white trash and crackheads is beyond hysterical.

    My friend had the shore house above the tropical pub last summer... we would get wasted in the trop, stumble up stairs and pass out, wake up and go downstairs and eat omelettes and start getting wasted again.... it was a vicious cycle

    Tempts and water throwing goes back along way and should not be something that fights are started over!!!! It gets better when the bartenders start spraying the crowd with their water guns!!!!!

    I remember the water guns a few times last year, but don't remember everyone else throwing water - but then again I don' t remember quite a bit about tempts.

    I agree it shouldn't be something fights are started over - someone needs to tell these guys.

    Is it just me or is this a new thing? For like 2 out of the last 3 weeks one of my friends has been wasted and threw water on people and almost got into fights both times (last sat I had to talk a couple of guys out of beating the crap out of him). In fact a few weeks ago I saw a post of someone that was pissed off at him (I could tell by the description). But as the night went on I noticed I kept getting water thrown on me, and I'd turn to look but couldn't see who it was. Then I realized I actually liked it cuz I was hot as hell. But I've never noticed this in tempts before. Anyway, just wondering if this is the a new thing, kinda like a replacement for napkin throwing.

    p.s. Classics was awesome, Denny was on point :bounce:

    I probably shouldn't have shown up seeing as how I was sick and tired as hell even before the night began, but I'm glad I came out. Nice seeing some cpers I haven't seen in a long time (bigpoppa, legend)

    I thought lange was just ok, nothing special. Again it could've been that I was tired and just shouldn't have been out that night. Dumonde came on and did a great job. Unfortunately after about an hour & a half I just couldn't keep my eyes open any longer - I ended up falling asleep on the speaker half way back in the room, had some weird ass dream and then jolted awake looking around trying to figure out where the hell I was lol. At that point I realized it was time to leave, and I'm pretty pissed at myself because I missed at least half of dumonde's set :(

    Did anyone see that big black dood dancing in front of the booth? He was awesome!

    Hell yeah!! that dude was awesome - I talked to him for a little while, he constantly had a huge smile on his face, looked like he was enjoying himself.

    We were there last year for his closing party and it was the best night we had - he was f ing amazing. You really picked the best time of year to go too, the closing parties are definately where it's at. God I am SO jealous, not only is Carl Cox just an excellent DJ all around but he has this great stage presence, he just seems so happy to be there, which I think refelects alot on the crowd. Something that might help you with your ticket situation - before we went we bought a "club-in" pass online, I got it through a link from the Ibiza Spotlight website which was a great site for info and club schedules. There are 2 types of passes, one is for 3 nights and the other for 5, it will run you about $100 - $200 depending on how many nights you want to go out. You'll have to drive up to San Antonio, to Coastline Cafe (which had pretty good food too) you tell the guy where you want to go, which night - you get tickets, VIP access, and no waiting to get in the door, it worked out well for us and when we go next year we will definatley be buying one again, it just kinda gets all that out of the way so you can just relax and enjoy yourself knowing you are "in" at every place you want to go. Just thought this might help you along, have fun, don't forget about Morillo the next night at Pacha, will you be there for Cream closing too?? Actually I don't even want to know, I might just cry - you lucky thing!!!

    IM ONE OF THE PROMOTERS @ XS AND I CAN TELL YOU WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THE OWNERS BASICLY PUT ALL THERE EGGS IN ONE BASKET. YOU CAN'T PUT 10 PROMOTERS IN 1 CLUB AND NONE IN THE OTHER.(if you own both)

    TSETTOS HAS CARRIED THAT CLUB FOR 6/7 YEARS & I THINK I'VE SEEN 1 LIVE ACT THE ENTIRE TIME. NO PROMOTIONS / NO THEME PARTIES, NOTHING. SO OFCOURSE, WHEN SOMETHING HOT & NEW COMES AROUND PPL WILL CHECK IT OUT. THEY SHOULD BE THANKING DENNY & COUNTING THERE BLESSINGS & GO INTO THERE POCKETS & HIRE A SKILLED PROMO TEAM TO SALVAGE THE REST OF THE SUMMER, AND NEXT YEAR.

    THATS IF MR TSETTOS EVEN WISHES TO COME BACK.

    DON'T BE SUPRISED IF HE DOES NOT.

    and they better do something cuz it would REALLY REALLY suck if Tsettos doesn't come back :(

    I think XS is flat out doing a better job promoting than tempts. It seems tempts is just relying on its past reputation, but with the great job XS is doing it just isn't working.

    And it pisses me off because I really don't like hiphop. So I go into XS and get pissed off with all the hiphop, at which point I go to tempts to hear some great music but there's just not that many people and its not as fun as it used to be. I'll always go to tempts for the music & to support Denny, but its frustrating :mad:

    Tempts needs to do a lot better job promoting, and it wouldn't hurt to knock down the door price & maybe drink prices just to get people back in there (ever hear of how price affects a demand curve?) They would lose money at first, but after getting their core clientel back in there, they would be back to where they used to be - making shitloads of $$ instead of hurting like they are now.

    Oh well, I'm sure it'll be packed this weekend, I just hope tempts changes their ways and keeps it packed the rest of the summer.
