Its interesting to see what kind of military action the US is going to persue. I believe claiming a war on Terrorism is about as conceded and 'gun-ho-ish' as claiming a war on drugs, the enemy is not tangible he is illusive. What is more interesting to observe is the motives of these terrorists. These people did not die in vane. These terrorists died for there beliefs. They must have thought that killing these people in the WTC would actually change something. What is it that they wanted to say? What was there message? Was it that American isn't impregnable? Was it that American's have to wake up the rest of world matters? Along those lines why is it that America never recieves foreign aid but always doles out when third world countries need something or are involved in some sort of emergency. Through the past week many ignorant US citizens have expressed their veiws and have physically shown there views to Paki's, Shieks, and maybe if you can find one Afghani's. How poorly can American's be shown if not through these ignorant people. For one thing American's surely are ignorant of the world around them. How many people do you know that can tell you what the PLO stands for. Or can explain what the Israeli-Palestian conflict is about. Do you know the name of our Secretary of State of Treasury? Ton's of american's don't even know there own Congressman. (Side note: being that your from WNY how does the skyline look now that the WTC is gone? I used to love rollerblading down JFK Blvd. now two huge things are deleted from that skyline its going to be mad different)

What kind of justice is killing those children holding up the Palestinian flag? Isn't it possible that there is a motive behind killing American's. There not nuts! There was a reason that these American's died in the WTC. ARen't you curious as to what that reason is! What kind of war do yo think we are going to have? We are basically going to be killing innocent people while we are in the search for the REal terrorists. What's interesting to note is that no other country has sent aid. Every time a country is in need America is the first to step in. Why do we not here of other countries sending aid. American's are really really generous. These kids chanting and cheering the deaths of innocent americans are messed up and miss informed but mind you not one american is informed correctly about those Palestinians. I don't even know how to spell Afghanistan. Or what the hole conflict about the Israeli's and the Palestians is about. Isn't this conflict about Land or Religion. Are we going to be fighting a HOLY War? Christians vs Muslims? Kill them all is the chant of lunacy. When your a big global power like US every one beneath you is a potential enemy (i suppose). But how are you going to fight Terriorists? It's like claiming a war on drugs. If the intelligence agency is so advanced that they are going to claim a war on Terroism and actually find the killers how is it that they let this one slip through there hands. Americans are one of the smartest dumb people I know. Not one news station shows any real important international news Besides CNN. (i spewing out alot of bullshit leading nowhere i guess i'll stop)

Midiman, After reading your statement, I'd have to say that I have a whole lot of respect for you. I agree with everything that you have said, and wish that all Americans, as well as all cultures, can see this point of view, rather than blindly seeking revenge. I am opposed to any sort of military strike from the US government because I believe it will only create more trajedy. The problems of the world seems so complicated in this age, but one can arguably narrow it down to simply the inability for people of different cultures to understand one another. Or even the unwillingness to understand one another. Throughout my travels I have come to learn that all people want the same simple things in life - freedom and happiness. It's a shame that our pursuit for happiness can be clouded by the decisions political leaders have made. Thank you for posting that message.

Nickybarnes, You ignorant fool! Do you know what you just said? You gotta think before you say something like that. Muslim people are not bad. They want the same things everyone wants in this world. It is the Islamic fundamentalists who have caused all this. They are to blame, and not the general population. If you want to help your country, don't show the rest of the world how ignorant you are. Instead, try to learn what this is about. Bombing the middle east is not going to solve the problem. It will start WWIII. And don't think the US isn't vulnerable to anymore attacks. That would be another foolish assumption.

I get scared everytime Bush makes a speach or when makes a decision. I have a really bad feeling that this "war" on terrorism is going to be really messy and eventually lead to something far worse. I agree that the US should not send in ground troops in Afghanistan. They will all be wiped out. Vietnam should've taught them that lesson. The US has virtually no margin for error because it has to keep its Muslim allies. They are the best chances they have of eliminating terrorists. The US also cannot afford to make mistakes and accidentally kill innocent people. That will only bolster the Islamic fundamentalists. This "war" will be won by intelligence and not by military strength.

If you were spinning at a club what would be the first song you would play to get the croud hype? I think I would play some sick breakbeat first. Way out West came out with this sick song Intensify. Its got a good breakbeat mix. Along those lines, what is the hottest track to come out this month?

A very interesting question. Where can the line between mainstream and extremly innovative and refreshing sound be found. Do you remember the first time you jumped in the air to see your favourite dj at twilo spinning. PVD for me and then BT at Bowery ballroom. Those where electrifying times but are they any less talented now that there mainstream. Maybe it is only after a brief stint in MAINSTREAM histeria that people realize that they are sick the the scheit and begin a whole new way of expressing themselves musically. Even though some people might saw oh Oakie is way too mainstream for me. He still has inspired other djs in spinning completely innovative styles. Its very important to remember that in Middle school and high school was ok in being professional appreciators but now its time to bring something back. Something fresh and innovative. After a while this too will turn Mainstream but in conclusion this isn't necesarily bad its more like a recession in an economic cycle. A part of a cycle which is a must. Down with KTU and LIR radio stations for making our music mainstream but at the same time thanking them for letting other people know that there is something else out there.
