i think saleen has a point, flooding the boards with promoting threads is irritating, but if you've checked lately there are so many hot parties out there. Saleen, chill out. All this promoting will die down. But you should notice that there aren't that many people writing any other kinds of threads. Personally, why would promoters use the promoting section if no one even checks it anymore! Most the people on that list probably just love music and want to let people know what's going on. It use to be my philosophy never to dedicate too much time to negative feelings such as anger, hate, sadness, jealousy, insecurity, envy, instead of wallowing in the shit hole of an neverending always confusing relationship the attitude should be to learn & leave. I went to see PVD at the DC armory, and let me tell you that was his best set if comparing it to his "out there and back" release at Twilo. Pvd's mixes were superb good timing and good reaction to the crowd. What's everybody's favorite track on the ablum? i have alot, second sun nu-nrg - dreamland way out west damn almost all of them are good. except i've had ENOUGH of rapture stop playing Rapture over and over again. i hit alot of clubs, and thats the song that i hear everyday. ps. crystalmethod, is there a list for the subliminal party, my friend got a flyer in the mail for $10 and I said,"what about me" not to be greedy or anything.

seems as though not alot of people know about the tech-house going on in New Brunswick, Nj. Aftermath party is held every TUEday and SAturday. The BAR: Harvest moon. on george st. resident djs: joey stitch and chris trends. joey stitch will be spinning at the Roxy on the 28th Dec. the party is called Oracle. there aren't alot of people who seem to know that the scene here is really good. actually my intent was to say that old queens and scarlet pub have better djs than they use to. and i know how you feel the kitchen is fucked up, 'no monitors, that does suck'. but i have seen you spin and your pretty good. i've been spinning for like 5 months now and i appreciate any one who goes out there and tries. 'i just want to show people that there is a different sound out there'. something more than what anyone has ever heard. as a dj thats starting out Music means alot to me and there are some many different songs out there that people should hear but never get to. Platinum has potential to be the best club around if it plays a more diverse t of music. If your going to try to suck in the trendy rich upper percentile you need to stray away from the KTu music. Your giving TRAnce the worst name ever. I know that on other nights the club is going to be different. And that's great. I was wondering if there is going to be a cover on those nights. And i was wondering how much it would be to rent out the club for a couple hours to throw a party? With my own DJ? (ADam, peter? Who should i talk to?) All in all, im sure Platinum made a good deal of money that opening night. But remember there are places that are cheaper and have better music than Platinum (in my opinion). The sound system actually wasn't that great. The lower frequencies weren't coming out that well. (more BASS please). I felt like i was at Cento Fly with its weak speakers. Vinyl has a tremendous sound system. I rambling...Anywayz. EVeryone check out HArvest MOon this Tuesday. Basically, I just want to say how refreshing the AFtermath parties are at Harvest MOON in New Brunswick. I have been going to almost every single one for almost a year now. I've made mad friends there from Concept and other places. The music is techno and tech house. ON every other WED they have D&B music the party is called Europa. NO more KTU, die abyss and hunka-bunka. EVen LIRR radio is drowning in mainstream. NY house is fucking falling behind. It says on the site that you are going to have progressive house and trance on certain nights but the shit I hear from the resident dj's samples are all mainstream house. Is this place going to be another Abyss or Hunka-bunka. I suggest that you should try to diversify your music selection in order to really represent the NYC club scene. I like how on certain nights the music will be more mellow and loungey. Platinum could have some potential just please don't let it be KTU shit. There already are clubs that play that type of music.
