Are there any legal drugs that people use out there? I don't mean alcohol and tobacco, though of course I consider those drugs.

As with any DJ, you have to be into that particular type of music, and I definitely LOVE DT's style. He calls it "tribal tech-house-trance, with a modern yet classic approach" himself (really interesting interview in the August 2001 issue of DJ Times). Definitely check it out at Vinyl on Fridays. In addition to DT's magic, the crowd is one of the most positive I've ever seen.

I've been to Centro-Fly (Friday and Wednesday), Exit (Friday), Limelight (Friday), Cheetah (Friday), and Vinyl (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). My favorite by far is Vinyl -- the music is great and the atmosphere is very positive. Of all the places, the people at Vinyl seem the most into the music and each other -- without trying to put on a show. I like Dance Ritual at Centro-Fly Wednesdays, too. It's probably no small coincidence that the party was originally at Vinyl, even though I never went there.

You can also take the A, C, or N to Canal. That gets you pretty close. Walk along Canal to Laight, and at Laight cross the overhead walkway. That puts you about a block from Hubert (to your left). Vinyl isn't really marked, but you'll see people going in. Enjoy!
