  1. I'm new to CP. And unfamiliar with the specifics of the SF situation. But it is essential to raise consciousness about the issue. And to advocate for those who are discriminated against. Therefore :: kjlive ----- Evil Looks like what drives me crazy Don't have no effect on you-- But I'm gonna keep on at it Till it drives you crazy, too. -Langston Hughes
  2. I'd just like to add mmmhmmmmmm! And to sleepiswaste: where in the HELL are my donuts, hmmm?! kjlive
  3. Pete, I have to say you were absolutely TROLLY-ED. I was there at "the homestead" in Episode One, and perhaps this is the gin talking, but I think you were also pretty Ketarded. And hilarious. I still don't know how you do it, man. I mean 6th in the marathon. That's remarkable. I'm serious. kjlive
  4. Give the guy a break. I mean, I hear he finished 6th in the NYC marathon! Or was that LM?
  5. I saw that film in Dublin and it is BRILLIANT. It was an unprecedented success in France, where it continually sold out cinemas for months and became something of a contemporary French cultural icon....at least that's how they described it in the news over there. Absolutely worth seeing. kjlive
  6. Mugz- Very chill. Had a brilliant time. Many thanks to you!! -kevin
  7. Knock 'em dead, LM! I'm sure you'll do great. I mean, you got style and grace....and you can't learn that in no school! kjlive
  8. Cold-Eze are nasty? Shut up, baby, I KNOW IT! Plus you can't have any citrus half hour before or after. Anyway, important thing is they WORK. So what is this play you're in? I was just in grad school for theatre in dublin where i went to so many shows and now i'm back and i haven't seen anything and i miss it!!! break a leg, kjlive
  9. I just came back from grad school in Dublin. The correct answer is more drink. Bloody Mary is the old remedy there. Or else, "live life to the power of Guinness" Seriously, though, everyone's different and handles alcohol differently--that's why we have yet to come up with some surefire cure. I've heard, though, that water and food with fatty lipids in it (grease) help a lot. kjlive
  10. Three words for that: ri DAMN diculous kjlive ps-note my lack of really cool and flashy tag here, xpander. you know what you have to do.
  11. LM, Too poor to party? Heh. I can definitely relate. Or should I say... Shut up, baby, I know it! kj
  12. Our freedoms and liberties have been achieved? Try telling that to our black, brown, red, gay and lesbian brothers and sisters. I agree that people focused on advocating for one issue or ideology can be limited whether it is on the Left, in the comfort of the middle class, or on the Right...as is your view. Discussing your opinions with others is a step in the direction of broadening your perspective. But don't do it with hate and contempt behind your words. Demonization of anyone: liberals, conservatives, or presidents is ridiculous and unacceptable. kjlive
  13. I like it LM. Boring people suck. So tell me where did that piece come from?
  14. I wish I wasn't so poor. Ever see that documentary about the homeless people living in the tunnels of Penn Station? It's called Dark Days. DJ Shadow did all the music for that. Plus he's part of the Quannum collective and their shit's pretty tight too. I wish I wasn't so poor. poor kjlive
  15. the question i want answered is: what the hell is this shnizzel on my nizzel shit? is that yiddish or something?
  16. lillizzy is right. the h-o-v-a is short for j-hova or jehova. dunno about the straight up religious intentions, but i don't doubt it is related to his self-perception as a godly mc. i believe it was also an mc or dj name he held back in the day. apparently, he can call himself whatever he wants and still take in thousands of dollars...only in America!! god, i sound like don king. kjlive
  17. Isn't that pretty much a redundancy anyway, quoth? My fave was when my big brother (then age 6) and I (age 2) were in "mom-made" costumes as Tom and Jerry. I had whiskers.
  18. Stop it. It is not. You're embarrassing me. And I come home TONIGHT.
  19. Dear Mr. Pete-- Please accept my most sincere wishes for an unabashedly delightful yet belated birth-day. Hope your day was as cool as yourself! cheers, KJL
  20. And for all you lazy people out there (I'm one of you) let me help you out From the Irish Times: "Respectable" young men had found the type of girls they met in Galway nightclubs were "dreadful", Judge John Garavan told the local District Court yesterday, before refusing to extend late-night opening hours for a number of city nightclubs. "If people want a night out let them go out on time. Why wait until 12.30 a.m.?" he said. "It's uncivilised. A lot of respectable people would not go out, or stay out, late. Let's face it, it's attracting the wrong sort of people. "I hear from respectable young men they can't meet nice, respectable girls in these nightclubs. The girls they meet there are dreadful, at least that is what I am told," the judge said. ... Refusing to amend the application, Judge Garavan told Mr Sheehan his client was not the only one to be considered. "What about the ordinary, respectable citizens of Galway? They are concerned about the hooliganism that goes on in the streets of Galway at the weekends. Do you want it every night of the week now? "There is drink and mayhem on the streets. Not a weekend goes by but Supermac's window is broken. If people want a night out let them go out at a respectable hour. Of course, if the truth be known, you won't find respectable people out at all hours. It's uncivilised and a lot of them just won't go out," he said. ---------------------- ahahahaha, kjlive
  21. Hey all-- Kinda new here... but I get the feeling this is something CP can sink its teeth into. Check out WHY the local authorities denied this Galway club a late license! Is this not hilarious?? http://www.ireland.com/newspaper/front/2000/0725/fro3.htm rocko, kjlive
