  1. they definately need to clean that place up, and all those draperized people need to move on to other suck ass clubs, like the ones in jersey especially clubs like abyss, hunka-bunka, you know what i'm talking about....... its gonna be hard making a decision on whether to see ferry, but i do have a whole month to figure it out
  2. i absolutely agree with all of u, i'm convinced it does really, really, really suck. i just wanted to know what all of you thought, being that they improved the dj line up........ plus i asked, because i needed help making up my mind whether i should see ferry corsten in april or not
  3. roxy is definately my favorite club in terms of music and the people who go there, plus the fact that johnny vicious is my favorite dj...... but exit is starting to get a good line up in terms of djs. i never really liked exit and i agree with most people that it sucks, but i'm starting to get the itch to go back. they finally got rid of no talent and commercial dj tony draper, plus they have had a good line up such as judge jules, tiesto, dave ralph, etc, and soon to be ferry corsten. the enviroment still kind of stinks, but if they still keep on getting these quality djs i'm sure that'll start to change..... so thinking of this i asked myself is exit really that bad now...... i would like to know what everyone thinks about exit now compared to then.
  4. go to roxy. johnny vicious is definately a better experience than any other dj
  5. i only saw him live once on a steam video at gatecrasher plus i heard his cd's and remixes, but he should definately play in nyc........ he has a new cd out called "euphoria- white label"
  6. damn it bro..... u had to start this shit again with another survey didn't u... bastard!!! hehehehe
  7. geeee..... thanx stuck on earth for the apology, but you guys should change your name to stuck on line, being that i was on line for almost 3hrs. and only heard about an 1hr. of carl cox, lets also not forget the hour and a half i waited on the coat check line. maybe if u guys didn't over sell the tickets and told those dick heads at the pier (especially security, who didn't know right from left "literally") to be a little more organized, so the real people who go there for the music and the dj can actually listen to sound of the beats rather than the echos from outside.
  8. i was thinking to myself that clubplanet has contributed alot to the club and dance music scene...... especially all of the members who really make up clubplanet and make it exsists.... so realizing all of this wouldn't it be dope to have an awsome party dedicated to all clubplanet members with a shit load of djs, but if you had to choose 3 djs to headline this party who would u choose and would u like to have an indoor or outdoor party (ex. like creamfields) my 3 dreamteam: 1. johnny vicious- hit us with the hard shit 2. ferry corsten- with that progressive feel 3. john digweed- the sound of deep and dark definately an outdoor party
  9. movado is definately my favorite, but because of my shitty pay check i can only afford an esquire which by the way is from the same company who makes movado
  10. sasha & digweed are doing a tour with phazon, and they're gonna stay in nyc for two nights, but the venue isn't confirmed
  11. no country is perfect... all countires and their governments are doing some corrupt and fucked up shit. to deny that is true ignorance. so if no one likes how the system works then come up with a solution and fight for it... if your just gonna bitch and moan on the message board with this political bullshit, then pack your bags, hop on a plane, and go to antartica...... you won't have to worry about political opression there.
  12. i agree, how the fuck did more people die by toasters? i am never eating toast for breakfast ever again, unless i wear a full rubber suit
  13. people just look at the current events, not the past or historical events... countries like lebanon, israel, iran, saudi arabia, iraq, etc. have been fighting these wars for a very, very, very long time over land territory, religion, political oppression, government dictorship, corruption, oil, complete power over all the countries in the middle east, etc., and the list can go on and on. this isn't something that started over the supposed bullying of the united states. when saddam hussein was put into power in iraq he starved his people, killed practically everyone in the government cabinent, and was plotting to turn iraq into a major military power so he can use the military to take over land that supposedly belonged to iraq, which was an excuse for him to have control over the oil in the middle east. this man killed more people in iraq than you can even imagine. didn't anybody see the documentary on him on A&E. he's a psyco and his sons are worse. everyone is shitin' bricks because they're afraid one of his sons will one day take over, then if that happens we're all in the shithole, because these guys aren't afraid of creating global war. bin laden and other taliban tribal militia groups have been doing the same to the people of afganistan, they murdered a shit load of people for their false perception of the qua'ran, which they use as an excuse to maintain power. plus look at all the people who died world wide due to drug use especially heroin, did u all forget that the majority of opium comes from afganistan and its used to make heroin. it not just terroist acts that they use to kill innocent people. the same in africa and other nations in the world, innocent people are dying, and i think its fucking ignorant to blame the US for all these problems when it was these asshole extremeists that have been the real cause for the problems. these people are brainwashed to believe that its the westerners that are the cause for corruption, when in fact its these dictators and their fucked up, made up, and reinterpreted beliefs that are the cause of their nations problems.
  14. in my opinion the only thing California has going for it in terms of the club scene is giant and spundae. djs and club goers are so attracted to that club because it has that european type club feel like gatecrasher in the UK or some club similar to that. Florida has a good scene for their outdoor events like the summer oasis party. i give boston, mass. some credit for club avalon, but avalon isn't for hard trance djs, its more for those twilo type djs who play deep and dark trance, house, or tech (ex. sasha, digweed, satoshi, doc martin, etc.). nyc, chicago, and detroit are the birth places of many styles of dance music. germany also contributed to the scene, but we came first. now there all into the hard shit up in boston and rhode island, but so is nyc. we're basically split 50/50 with all the hard and progressive fans, and the deep and tech fans. half is still a good number to attract djs like jam x and deleon, but i guess they can't come unless clubs book them. so for now we have to live off johnny vicious and scot project (when he come to world or limelight again) to provide us with the hard sound
  15. i was checking out some websites on the tourdates of some popular dj's yesterday..... and i don't seem to understand why these dj's never come to nyc to spin, but to these other crappy states and cities. i was on the dumonde website for example checking out some past and present tourdates, him and deleon played at a club at rhode island, and another in boston, mass... what the fuck is at those shity states, especially rhode island. you need a microscope to see that state on a map to know that it exsists. its the same with other big name djs, why don't they come to nyc where the club scene is huge. nyc is one of the fathering cities where dance music and club culture began. untill recently djs like like tiesto have been coming in, the same with ferry in april, etc., but like usually those few will come and the nyc scene will hit a dry spell.
  16. i agree, every rock band now is doing either that rock with a blend of hip-hop routine or that spiritual creed crap, but don't get me wrong a few of it is good, for example linkin park is off the hook.
  17. i,m not suprised, there not very open minded because for years they've been brainwashed to think that Americans are the infidels and we are the result of their problems...... when in fact thats total bullshit, because those nations have been having wars and other problems for centuries, especially over land. the U.S. did some fucked up shit in its history, but we also did some good shit, and i think those nations are looking for someone to blame for their messed up issues thats been going on for hundreds of years.
  18. i bought my tickets today at satellite, so i'm amped and ready to go
  19. i've been hearing that jv is getting a little mad at some of his fans for commenting on the fact that he may be slipping a bit... so i'm here to defend those fans and jv too. if you're a true jv fan you'll understand this.... i noticed lately that jv isn't mixing tracks to well, and he has been pretty much playing the same tracks at roxy, and he's not playing a wide variety of beats, its all just one style. i want jv to go back to his old style when he used to mix up progressive and hard trance. jv had his own style which no one around the new york area was fucking with. dj's were either playing house or that new jersey shore -vs- the hamptons type style music bullshit, but jv was playing the sound that you could only hear if you were either at a club in germaney or the U.K. ( i'm talking a few years back). i'm talking about a blend of hard and progrssive trance which he brought into NY and made it his style. ministry of sound called jv a leader in hard trance, because he helped bring the sound and made it popular among club goers. i remember going to sound factory in december of "99" and i heard jv on the radio many times, but it was the first time i heard him at a club. he was playing tracks like goryella-goryella, l'vee-look inside, moonman-don't be afraid 99, earthbound- essence of life, beleadric bill- destination sunshine (tiesto rmx), and then when you thought it was all progressive he would mix it up with some of the hard shit. i went to the factory a couple of times after that and he would blend hani- baby wants to ride and hennes & cold- second trip into one track and then mix it up with other tracks while going back to the blend, then finally he would hit up the crowd with atlantis- fiji(lange mix) and the crowd would blow up. i remember johnny at the tunnel when he played elastic culture- u and other hard tracks, but he would keep it a little progressive. jv had this style that no other dj's were fucking with at the time and his mixing was always on point even when he was experimenting with blending tracks together. listening to him on the sanctuary would always amp me up, but now it doesn't have the same effect. the prodigy got me into listening to electronis music, ferry corsten and pvd got me into trance, but it was Johnny Vicious who opened me up to club culture and the dance scene. i will admit jv is slipping a bit, but he always has a few tricks up his sleve, so i hope he was listening to the true fans and he'll go back to his old ways. to all the few but true fans of jv you now what i'm talking about and i agree with all of you a 100%, and to the other fans who don't know what i'm talking about you just don't know what jv is all about.
  20. Ferry is not only my favorite Dj, but he's also the king of progressive trance............ i'm definately there. i would never miss it. i remember he was supposed to play at twilo, but then they closed it down. i thought ferry would not come back to NY, but he's coming and its going to be off the hook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. my adreniline is pumping for CARL COX. definately getting tickets on friday
  22. tiesto, oakey, and PVD are just of the few of the greatest dj's out there..... you can only see those guys together in one night at uk clubs like gatecrasher or ministry. if those guys came to NYC to do an event it would definately be an awsome experience for us tri-state clubbers. i would probably pay $55 to $65 to see those guys in one night!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. all i know there is too much battling over these 2 clubs, . my advice is go to the club that moves you. i like roxy a little better cause i'm a vicious fan, but i'll be heading to exit april 5th for ferry corsten
