  1. that's a great idea, but there are alot of issues associated... 1) you can't have people uploading copyrighted tracks, ever heard of Napster, ever heard of intellectual property. 2) files, especially media files (i.e. audio and video files) take up space, take up hard disk space. Sure, 100GB drives are selling pretty cheap these days roughly $300, but who will pay. Plus, with the way CP members are with music do you think 100MB is even enough storage ? 3) you also need an ftp server(s) 4) in addition, uploading and downloading media files consumes way more bandwidth. I doubt CP is going to hook up a dedicated T1/T3 or 10/100MB connection to the hypothetical ftp server. It's still a great idea. But would need much thought. CP People/Artists/Producers should just stick to free audio file upload sites like mp3.com I would assume Dave is in charge of any and all servers.
  2. I am laughing at northnjguy21's comment. Please tell me you are either gay or your girlfriend was standing next to you while you typed that comment. Otherwise, I think it is time for you to become a man grasshopper and go to a strip club. ha ha Stilleto's or Lace. I haven't heard those names in a while. Rockland strip clubs. I think Stilleto's was probably the first strip club I ever went to. I actually knew a girl in highschool who danced at Lace. too funny...
  3. 'exit' used to be 'carbon'... 'carbon' used to be 'mirage'... trivia: finish this sentence 'mirage' used to be '?'...
  4. two choices for you: 1) sat 02/02/02 - upstairs at studio 54 (mostly hip-hop) 54 is a small-medium sized club lounge. 2) sat 02/02/02 - luahn (breaks, hip-hop, + more) luahn is a lounge, 2 floors, 2 DJs. 02/02/02 is opening night of the starting of a new ongoing saturday lounge party at luahn. If you are interested in going to either places to celebrate the birthday just let me know. How many people ?
  5. ok, just so you know, there are alot of DOC readers for your PDA. Some are free and some you have to pay for. Some DOC readers have more features than others. Definitely play around with the DOC readers preferences/options. I would suggest when you copy web content to paste it into a text file (.txt). Alot of free DOC readers can read plain text files. That's an easy way to accomplish what you are doing. If you prefer pasting content into a MS word file (.doc) you will probably need pay for a DOC reader. Check out: FasterWriter You can download it free for 30 days and/or buy it for $30. I haven't tried too many other DOC readers. Also read DOC readers. Let me know how it works out. I hope this helps.
  6. thanks for the info. Is BarFly atleast a nice looking venue ? Is the design and decorating appealing ? I know someone who might be starting a new recurring party at BarFly on Saturdays.
  7. saturday nights at 54 with hip-hop resident DJ Kaori. (DJ Kaori of Franchise Records Big Dawg Pit Bulls DJ crew) http://www.clubplanet.com/guestlists/
  8. Anyone every been to BarFly in LA ? - what nights are good there ? - is it a trendy spot or just a bar?
  9. For everyone that has been enjoying these "Priceless" pics. There are a few website that are dedicated to presenting "Priceless" pics. Here are some links to the websites. ( Its probably better going to these websites to check out the "priceless" pics, rather than uploading all the "priceless" pics on CP servers.) http://orsm.ii.net/priceless/ http://priceless420.com/ http://www.forwardsemail.com/thumb/priceless.shtml
  10. Hip-hop has definitely been on the rise. As far as rating hip-hop from 1-10, that is very difficult. Now, if I was going to rate hip-hop I would first look at the statistics. I would look at record sales and concert sales for the year. Check out Billboard and see what artists top the charts. As far as hip-hop parties in NYC. They have remained and will definitely be ongoing. We have been hosting a recurring Saturday night hip-hop party for months at the upstairs of studio 54 with our resident DJ Kaori. She is one of the DJs in Franchise Entertainment's Big Dawg Pitt Bulls DJ crew. Our party does not attract a "gansta" crowd. Plus, it has been growing since its beginning. I identify with this as hip-hop is growing.
  11. definitely going out... starting off at 54 for open bar starting at 10PM next, hitting up either Candela, Eugene, or maybe just staying at 54.

  15. I think this post is too funny. I am a bit addicted to the Food Network too. IRON CHEF is good. Has anyone ever seen IRON-CHEF USA with Captian Kirk aka William Shatner as the host ? Its not as good as the regular IRON CHEF on the Food Network. Alot of the Chefs who host shows on the Food Network have restaraunts here in NYC.
