i can remember back before Cd were anything. jsut came out and were rare. 12" singles were between 2.99 and 3.99. not bad. id buy about 50-100 every week or two. then Cds came big. So records became a lil obsolete. now with everyone but the dance industry putting everythin on CD its more expensive to make a record. So the prices go up. 6.99 isnt really that bad, especially if its a tool for a dj to use. I mean its one thing to get some older stuff on Cds. most tackes that come out now go out of production quickly and you wouldnt be able to get them anyway. For me new music should be bought. i didnt always think this until i start seeing places drop like flies. i mean to each his own. Think of it this way. if you sold something as a business, everyone turned around and copied it and gave it away wouldnt you be pissed. For all the DJ's how would you feel if you got a contract for a compilation CD and it was all over but you didnt make a dime because not too many people bought it and those that did just gave it away to everyone. Nothig is free everything has a price....the price of giving music away is oiither the cmpanies charge more or they go out of usiness, and sorry guys but i dont think too many major labels are throwing tribal tracks on the shelves across the world .
