Going into Circa Thursday Night, I was expecting to see some of the old metro or hints of it at least, but the only thing left was the Chandelier. That definitely took me off guard. The transformation of Metro to Circa was flawless. From the lighting, to the layout, to the menu/drinks, to the red velvet theme... everything was done beyond the Norms. Petey K., George, and company really outdid themselves with this place. For the lack of a better Term.. Circa is SickkkkkKkkK. Now about the night... Tooch and I got there around 8:30 to join Kosta, Nootsy, Rydell and crew for dinner. Throw down a couple of appetizers and Martinis. Then headout to the main room at 10 where Toro came on and played a mixture of Hip Hop, Old School house, and vocals. It was more of a relaxed, hang out atmosphere which reminded me a little of how B'Lo's Friday nights (crowdwise and musically). A good number of BP's walking around which is always a plus. If u haven't gone to CirCa yet, check it out for dinner, to pregame, or to hang out for drinks when the muzik comes on. I was really impressed with the place, and it definitely lived up to the hype that I've been hearing. Good to see everyone as usual. Good times. Oh yeah... Kosta's GTI whistle was another thing that did remind me of the old metro. You crazy bastage.
