  8. ALL SEASON ONE INTERVIEWS NOW AVAILABLE ON DEMAND.WINDOWS MEDIA 9 REQUIRED European progressive, classic house, runway bitch-tracks, old-skool soul, 1980s freestyle and diva anthems. Youll find thousands of DJs around the world whose style of spinning falls into one of the aforementioned genres; youll find only one who plays all of themat the same time. Its a tapestry of indescribable beats that could only be the work of one man: the unrivaled, formidable and legendary Junior Vasquez. Since his days as a fledgling talent at a little-known club called Bassline, Vasquez has taken the rudimentary task of playing records and elevated it to nothing short of an art form, parlaying his insidious turntable witchery into big-room residencies at some of the most famed mega-clubs in New York history: Tunnel, Arena, Twilo, Earth and the still-worshipped original Sound Factory on West 27th Street. Of course, his career has had its share of ups and downs, triumphs and tribulations, victories and falterings. To Vasquez, its a roller-coaster ride that comes with the territoryif youre going to wear the crown as the Emperor of New York DJs, youd better know how to deal with the drama. But Junior Vasquez doesnt just deal with dramahe lives for it. In Part 1 of this unprecedented two-part interview with house musics reigning maestro supreme, we sit down with Vasquez to turn back time in the DJ booth, reviewing each of the residencies of his gargantuan career, confronting him with questions that have been lingering on the minds of the New York underground for years. Why did Vasquezs much-hyped Earth party at Exit ultimately fall short of expectations? Is he comfortable with being labeled The Gay DJ? What does Vasquez have to say to DJ Jonathan Peters after displacing him at the 46th Street Sound Factory last December? After resident gigs at 530 West 27th Street in its Twilo and Sound Factory heydays, does Vasquez have designs to return to his old digs in the buildings present incarnation as Spirit nightclub? Youll hear it all for yourselfdirect from Vasquez. This is an interview you wont soon forget. Log on. Tune in. Listen up. On Wednesday, June 9, at 9pm Junior Vasquez The DJ joins THE REVOLUTION. 9. Adam Freemer has been involved with music in one form or another since his childhood while studying the piano and later working with some of the first computer based sequencer software in the 80's. Adam's influences range from Philadelphia pioneering dj's Josh Wink and Robbie Tronco to an eclectic list of underground house music icons such as DJ Vibe, John Digweed, Tom Stephan and of course, Danny Tenaglia. In the Fall of 2000, Adam had the unique opportunity to fill in for Danny Tenaglia at his Be Yourself party at Vinyl (now Arc) in New York City. In March of 2001, Adam won the opportunity to play at the internationally renowned Twilo in New York City. Adam submitted a mix cd alongside hundreds of djs from all over the world. In the end, 5 of these were selected and the djs that made them were given an opportunity to play at the now infamous club one evening in April that year. In 2002, Adam played a respectable list of global gigs from Israel to South America and back in the U.S. as well. His sets have been given worldwide acclaim by many and in March of 2002, Adam's mix cd entitled "Disconnected" was featured on John Digweed's Kiss FM radio show in London. In June, the Israeli mega-club TLV in Tel-Aviv, invited Adam to play. Adams set went over so well that talks were immediately made to bring him back for a follow up gig. During the fall, Adam was invited to play in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The beginning of 2003 saw Adam on a tour of Asia playing in Singapore at Centro 360 and in Taipei promoting his first releases on Twisted records, H2O, The 13th Tribe and his remix of the billboard #1 hit Irresistible by Superchumbo. Adam went on to play in Madeira, Portugal and just recently returned to Portugal to play at O2, in Lisbon. Twisted hasnt been the only label keeping Adam busy lately with a new single in the works and a collaboration with Roxy, the legendary Twisted vocalist who's upcoming album will be featuring Adam's track as well as those from Danny Tenaglia, DJ Vibe and Tom Stephan. Just released was Adam's remix for DJ Pirra's "Tribal Path" on Sheeva records. Next up is Adam's collaboration with long time friend Mike Constantini entitled "Dirty City" for Acute records with a remix by Jason Jollins and Waylo. Getting stellar reviews is Adam's upcoming remix for Mistress Barbara's "Dammelo" on Alternative Route Recordings being released in July. A collaboration with Abe Duque and Rob Corbett is in production now for Oval records as well as a remix for the Israeli producers "The Groovemates". A new collaboration with Alan T entitled Ativa Pasiva has also been completed with an additional mix by Angelo Kortez. This Summer and Fall, look for Adam on tour as he prepares to go back on the road after months of studio work. Please stop by Adam's web site: http://www.adamfreemer.com for touring information and release dates for all of his upcoming releases. For bookings and additional information: management@djadamf.com.
