  1. I don't even know where to begin... Hands down one of the best times I've had in god knows how long. From the great people I met, overall vibe, drinks, bottles, INSANE HOTTIES, dancing, and REDICULOUS BEATS. Everyone phatman and I chilled with, thank you! I'm not sure that night can be duplicated but I'm certainly gonna give it a try. werk.
  2. Denny played nice friday night at Joeys, from what I can remember atleast
  3. Mike, this guy is referring to that time when I had the aim virus and im's were going to people not even on my buddy list. Don't know that guy at all.
  4. Largely credited as one of the founding fathers of modern DJ culture, pioneering mix-master David Morales emerged on the scene as a dominant force in the 1980s, continuing on to a legendary residency at the revered club of yesteryear Red Zone. His 1993 reworking of Mariah Carey's seminal smash "Dream Lover" became an instant classic, lauded to this day by disc jocks around the world as one of the greatest dance tracks of all time. With a 1998 Grammy Award for Remixer of the Year under his belt, Morales chose to focus on the international scene following Red Zone's closure in the early '90s, and it wasn't long before he secured a string of DJ residencies at some of the world's most celebrated nightclubs. His intercontinental celebrity came with a price, however: In recent years, Morales' profile in the New York scene has become more subdued, and his relentless touring schedule restricted the amount of time he could devote to the studio. Morales hasn't created an original production in four years, and 11 years have passed since his last artist album. But all of that is about to change with the release of 2 Worlds Collide. Morales' first full-length artist disc since 1993's The Program, the album has been riding a wave of buzz-heavy anticipation for the past year thanks to the sublime single "How Would U Feel." Without exaggeration, the track has been a favorite of most every DJ in the world, and has seduced dance floors around the globe with its haunting production and the sultry vocals of Morales discovery Lea Lorin. In a rare interview, Morales sits down with The Revolution to discuss the evolution of his career, his extended hiatus from the studio, and his journey in creating 2 Worlds Collide-an album that could possibly represent the masterwork of his 20-year career. Log on. Tune in. Listen up. On Wednesday, October 27th at 8pm David Morales joins THE REVOLUTION. 10. either way, I'm definately looking forward to hearing his side of things. Mad fuckin talent no matter how you slice it.
  11. In smaller circles, hes known by his given name of Jesse Houk. Members of the worldwide underground community, however, know him better as The Scumfrog, a twisted DJ/producer combo whose trippy trademark of grungy industrialized beats has made him an increasing presence on the decks at clubs across the globe for the better part of three years. Though originally from Amsterdam, 10-year turntable veteran Houk made the jump to New York City in 1997 to pursue his career on the other side of the Atlantic. The leap resulted in a musical meld that incorporated the best of European-styled funk with some of the darkest progressive grooves to emanate from U.S. shores in years. From his gritty treatment of Kylie Minogues Love at First Sight to his blazing re-do of George Michaels Freeek and a downpour of original productions including Learning to Fly and his breakout single, the Ibiza anthem We Love You, Houk has honed a unique mixture of late-night basslines that have seduced dance floors the world over. His catalog of music continuing to grow, the longtime beatmaster recently announced plans to release a disc composed entirely of Scumfrog originals. Simmer , Houks debut artist album, is set to hit the streets this October. To what does Houk owe his dark influence? Does Simmer represent the beginning of a new era in the Scumfrog sound? And what precipitated Houks move from Europes dance-friendly shores to the more downplayed scene here in America? Find out on Wednesday, September 15, at 8pm when The Scumfrog joins THE REVOLUTION.
