  2. jaysea "Ny was Dangerous, and VEry unsafe in the 80's most of what is around today, Were Fucking battle grounds with local gangs, and jsut alot of fucked up people, it was also alot cheaper to live in ny then, so it attracted alot more Slum area's Battery park n such, and the ave's were Fucking scarey, lol " ___________________________________________________ What do you mean the 80's were dangerous? Gangs and stuff? I never noticed any gangs and about the only thing bothersome were the juice-head guidos who were too lame to get laid so they were always looking for fights if you looked, better, danced better or had hotter women than them. Dangerous and gangs? don't know what you are talking about
  3. I started at 15 or 16 years old @ Studio 54 and Xenon and then Mars and Palladium. The Tunnel Friday nights and Limelight is where I spent the most time that's where/when the club kids originated from and then we went to places like Save the Robots after hours or underground places. Tunnel Fridays was great and always an intense, sweaty, all night long adventure. Club USA was great later on and Thursday nights was the coolest because the crowd had no tourists in partyland who had to wake up tomorrow for work. Stephen Lewis ran the door at Tunnel and later USA and we always cruised right in. Those were great times.
  4. Tsunami with Talamasca headlining and Jeremy as well. Go to Raveclick for a guestlist/rerduced admission
  5. saw him in '97 at the Casio Music Jam festival with Daft Punk, Hooverphonic and the Sneaker Pimps and it was a divine experience, I saw God and had quite and enlightening conversation with him that night. 10. you have massive plans for the night with multiple parties ou have missed recently and really want to see and then.................some new hottie comes over and fucks you all night long and you totally forget about those parties until she leaves. The mind is weak..........the flesh is weaker.
  11. what a great way to party outdoors. This has made me wanna find more of the outdoor events. Music was fun and people were varied from young to old. Thank god I blew off work, made it worthwhile especially since the weekend is supposed to be shitty weather.
  12. The rain was what kept Boo 7 from being great more than anything else. Randall's had Boo 6 that was really good and the 6th Element the year before was absolutely fucking insane, funny the weather was also great then. The time I hit Lollopalooza there when Orbital/Tool/ Snoop played the weather was great and the show was insane. If the weather is awesome the shows are usually awesome too there.
  13. no mention of it in a month or so since he had his shit stolen in europe and didnt make it to NY the last time he was supposed to.........
  14. Should be off the hook if its still on. Lavendar Menace?
  15. I am positive you can hear it fine without paying. The depth of the area in front of the stage is maybe a 100 feet then there are some bleachers and the fence and you are maybe 150 feet from the stage and it is outside. I go every summer for years now. If it is free you can get food and beers in side if not free there are hot dog stands and you will find guys selling beers out of their napsacks on the sly for a dololar or 2
  16. is th timing of his set, and when does the line die down, like 3 am?
  17. not knowing what the line situation will be like tonight, I weas thinking of options....
  18. at Exit and I hear he's great. How does he stack up against Tiesto?
  19. if they are charging you can hear the music perfectly well from right next to or in front of the Summerstage.

  23. Ive been going to these for years and the music is off the fuckin hook, The Tsunami parties used to get a great vibe rollin in the basement of Shelter on a weekly basis but the following was only strong enoug for a monthly gig, too bad they had the old system ffrom Twilo in that little space and if you were in the mood for that overpowering body shaking bass it was suhweeeeeeeet! Thy have a couple of discs worth getting too. Synthetic Sadhus also throws some great parties at the Amazura in Queens and at some old film studio in Brooklyn, also definitely worth checking out. www.synthetic-sadhus.com
