I live a blockk from the park and I am in it every day with my Dobie and I have a Master's degree ini Architecture. SO with that said: this type of stuff is always fun and colorful but frankly it looks like a freshman architecture project and I liked it better without the banners because there was this tension between the arches which implied an invisible tunnel one is walking thru with clear views all around. The scale of the thing is awkward because the banners come too low and at like 10 feet head clearance it is a little oppressive. From a distance, nice, but lacks human scale sensitivity with the height of the banners over one's head. also $21 million for this is completely fucking retarded. anyway, very French, the whole thing.

You'll want to see as much music at Tipitina's as possible. Neville Brothers, Radiators and The Funky Meters will be the hottest among others. Best Parades are Bacchus, Endymion and Zulu. Definitely go to Pat O'Briens if you can make it thru the crowd iin the French Quarter, Bars are Cooter Brown's, Ms Maes, F&M PAtio Bar on Tchouptoulas St., Le Bon Temps Roule on MAgazine St., Bennys late night for music down the block from Le Bon Teps Roule, Molly's for chili iin the Quarter, go to Port of Call for a NY strip steak and a Monsoon in the Quarter. all those bars will be packed with hot college babes and all are fucking partying. this is not for the faint of heart. 1 word of advice: Do not do anything that will get yo arrested or you stay in till Thursday next week. Don't piss outside and dont fuckin back talk a cop or u will get beat down and locked up. Be nice and say yes sir and no sir if you get in trouble. If the Dungeon is stillopen go there in the Quarter too for sure. The Blue Crystal too in the Quarter. Tipitina's is the best music and sometimes the Saenger Theatre on Canal St. has awesome music. Definitely get a fried shrimp and oyster po-boy at Cooter Brown's and an Alligator po-boy too. po-oy is a hero. Dam im enbvious. You will know why I stayed in college 8 years when you are there. I just got back from a month in Europe, Italy mainily for the fourth time, and was almost going to go to Rimini to see a friend. I heard it is where all the young people go to party. What do you know about it? AS far as shopping, Rinascente is the Italian Macy's. It's a big department store. I would think that unless the dollar improves, things are a lil expensive. My advice look for smaller boutique type stores for good values and special sales. The shows were just in Milan so they are probably slashing prices and moving the new seasons stuff in.

6 days ago and I missed him but I am sure he was insane. Space was pretty insane and Ibiza is undeniably the number 1 party place in the world, no if's and's or butt's about it. It is relentless, fast and furious partying and not for the faint of heart. I will be going back every year from now on. PVD, Pete Tong and Satoshie Tomie were completely insane and the clubs are unrivalled on this planet. I can't believe I waited this long to go and I recommend that everyone on this board go.

we had this friend from London who is a literl billionaire and he had a 175' yacht there onto which he flew the Supremes in from 'Diana Ross & the Supremes', he is like 50 yrs old, nonetheless, we had 8 parties in 3 days starting at teh bech club Vin Rouge then the yacht then at Papagayo, 1 of the top clubs owned by our friend Jean Claude, at Vin Rouge he filled the tables with hundreds of bottles of Moet just for shooting on people, the magnums of Cristal which were for drinking were $30,000 each and after all the Moet was gone we were drinking Cristal and hosing these insane babes down, I got so much Champagne in my eyes which stings like hell that the 2nd time I hopped the raill and ran into the ocean with all my clothes on and my wallet, eetc, lost my shades etc, he had 'The Good Guys' film crew shoot a dvd of the whole weekend and I kid you not it was raining Champagne, we estimate this guy spent $600,000.00 on Champagne alone, 1 night at Papagayo P Diddy came in and the Brits dont give a rats ass about himso Robert told Jean Claude 'I want every bottle of Cristal in the place if 1 bottle gets to Diddy's table I walk' and Diddy was so furious he stormed out in a hissy fit, these were really heavy hi from London and he wanted to go down as the hottest prtier in St. Tropez history. We were biting the sparklers off the Cristal magnums with our teeth with 1 in each hand and shaking them up and hosing down what was mostly models and insane babes and friends from all over. I lived in New Orleans with a football player for 8 years when I went to Tulane and I did 8 Mardi Gras' and this was the sickest party weekend ever. The only thing lacking was the music, it really sucked but we had so much and Ibiza will make up for it. I have bruises all over unidentifiable some and others on tape, lol, we rented a brand new Mercedes in Santa Margherita and dove up stopping in Monte Carlo for dinner and a lil gambling and then St. Tropez, the first night we partied so hard we never checked into the hotel and my buddy James and I woke up on some public beach with 2 girls from St. Tropez, I could go on and on but my internet card is running out, needless to say I will post pics when I get back. I have been here 1 month and my friend has been here since July. St. Tropez is awesome if you do it right and if you have the money which like this I do not. I was very fortunate to havegenerous friends. 2 drinks without tip at teh bar was $50.00. Needless to say I have not been in before 6 or 7 in the morning on any night except the last 2 and tomorrow since I know I will not sleep for 4 or 5 days in Ibiza. We weer so hungover we missed the weekend in Sardinia which is equally as fun as the owner of Benetton, Fabio Briatore, has the club Billionaire there and it is a crazy place too. I will be coming back here for the rest of my life.

I'm 38 and I have been partying since I was 15 and my best friends dad and his 2 partners bought Studio 54 from Steve Rubell and Co. and we used to walk thru the crowds into the VIP lounge. In 2 days Iam heading to Ibiza for the final 5 days of the season after 3 weeks of rockin' in St. Tropez, Monte Carlo, Santa Margherita/Portofino and then to Milan for the Fashion shows and clubs like Plastique and De Sade. Iwill never stop, I will simply open my own club some day here in Italy and bring in all the talent I have experienced in my days. Why stop?
