  5. Incredible I'll keep my comments to myself on this one.
  6. RECENTLY LANDED AND NOW POSTED ON THE FIRST PAGE OF MY TOP 20 FOR YOUR AUDIO ENJOYMENT www.SOTUrecords.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Chakra - I Am (Kasey Talor's Oceanbreaks Mix) Kasey Taylor's 'Oceanbreaks Mix' is almost a stark contrast, opting for a more early set vibe. Subtle ambience and a drifting melody line sit underneath some soft beats, whilst a big rolling bassline does all the work. Moving forward, the vocal enters, drifting in and out of the beats as they bob up and down, with the melody rising in and out between each chorus, setting a nice downbeat mood to the mix. Quick key changes add emotion to the mix. and the ambience re-emerges with more prominence, creating a blissful, dreamy outro in the process. 2. Highland - No Way Out (Original Mix) Highlighted as the successor to the debut single, 'No Way Out' looked set to follow on in fine fashion, but enter one DJ called Dave Seaman who soon became a huge fan of all of Highland's production and remix work, featuring them on such compilations as his Renaissance and Global Underground compilations, and was such a fan of 'No Way Out' that it was quickly signed to his 'soon to be launched' Audio Therapy imprint, and a deal was struck whereby Vapour could put out a limited number of copies, with Audio Therapy getting the rights to promote it to the world. 3. Vector 13 - Isis (Progressive Break Mix) 'Isis' is the lesser known of the two tracks by Vector 13, but is by no means filler. This is every bit as strong as 'Rise', and perhaps even the better of the two tracks. Chunky breakbeats conceal a dirty, hypnotic electro groove and melody loop that sways in the background. The vocal is teased in slowly, rolling over and under the beats until it takes over infectiously, falling loosely over the beat patterns as electronic melodies lend a retro feel to the track, with shades of New Order creeping in. This is by no means a bad thing, and when you give this a spin, you will be hooked. 4. Extrema Recordings 005 (Matthew Dekay & Bart Van Wissen) Matthew Dekay of Deep Recordings takes up the remix for this one. Shrouded by a flowing deep progressive house feel layered with soothing synth chord atmospheres and moving basslines, Matthew Dekay works the vocal over nicely on this gem. 5. Extrema Recordings 006 (Matthew Dekay & Akatishia) This tight breakbeat reinterpretation retains the atmospherics, melodies and riff of the a-side and really goes to work. Deep breakbeat layers create a moody intro to this mix, backed up by gravely vocals and melodic stabs which all work together to build towards the main break, before falling into a rolling melodic outro that rises and drops in hypnotic fashion. Layers of melody ooze from the depths through every pore, turning this into a devastatingly effect cut to explode on the dancefloor. Check back next week as well for more vinyl's will be posted then. Enjoy, OBBY www.soturecords.com

  11. They are definitely to be appreciated. Here are the other two mixes for you guys to compare. Greayarea - One For The Road (Original Mix) Sample Here and Greayarea - One For The Road (Interstate 5 Mix) Sample Here Enjoy, OBBY www.soturecords.com
  12. Greyarea - One For The Road (Designated Mix) Although somewhat old (November 2002), I thought I would share this phat track with everyone. Grayarea are Chi-town trio Nosmo, McRae and, Ruin, three old high-school friends who have recently become Hope Recordings’ brightest new signing. Backed by the success of their debut single “One for the Roadâ€, Grayarea are being heralded as the act to watch in 2003 and 2004. From Max Graham to Sasha, the single has been relentlessly supported by literally every top notch DJ on the planet. With their plates already filling with remix work and several forthcoming singles on Hope, Grayarea are the fastest moving up-and-comers in dance music today.
