  1. http://bbs.clubplanet.com/las-vegas/321224-lalate-review-vegas.html here to help. hotels, you name it. holla back L
  2. You should go Allstars/Magic week. Perez Hilton wont be there.
  3. If you want to go to cabana, you should go. Its different.
  4. Our lalate review will list some spots, shockingly some of the top spots, that we found to have great drink values. Additionally we have some great preparty spots close by to get your drink-on cheaper.
  5. Bill Gates to appear on the Daily Show w/ Stewart next Monday lol. That should be a classic interview. lol
  6. 1. Full meal earlier, no late buffet, with coffee 2. Sleep extra before going to Vegas. 3. Stagger the drinks if you are partying 7 pm to 6 am like I did. 4. Dont shoot something you never shoot back home. No matter how hot, the shot girls are you meet, even when it is a free shot for promotions (like Jet on Monday last week), stay away from the shot 5. If you are going to shoot, try to do it only at the beginning (unless your body is use to shoot late in the evening) 6. Dont eat throughout the night 7. If you are going to eat before afterhours, eat something simple. 8. Dont dehydrate. Try to have drink that has a water base to it. 9. Avoid cream drinks (my GOD I have never seen so many cream drinks at Tryst being drank in my life). 10. Avoid whip cream drinks (bad for digestion). 11. Dance dance dance. Overall, if you eat ahead of time, stay hydrated, dont do things to your body is not use to, dance, you can get away with drinking alot and recouping perfectly the next day.
  7. Follow my Sunday itinerary (coming in the lalate review).
  8. Not a fan of cabana personally Josephs is done. Mood is very nice. Area - I love the venue itself. But all those you mentioned are the same scene ... remember LA has many diff scenes.
  9. Pure's floor or the thread? lol
  10. oh my bad lol.... wassup girl. how you been? Hows the boyz treating you in the chatroom lately?
  11. Only thing that is not making it in there .... the pic of me with my hand around the waist of the showgirl in full feathers and skin lol Hilarious.
  12. - Ice House is not the same as Ice. - Ice is closed, make way for a massive W Hotel. - Empire is behind Wallgreens (with signage on the Strip), between MGM and Alladin. Empire Afterhours is one of my favorite spots in Vegas. Generally open Fri and Sat afterhours. - Other House spots (ranging from soft to hard) - Mix @ The Hotel (preparty) - (Backroom @) Jet @ Mirage - Drais @ Barbary Coast - Seamless Afterhours @ Seamless (next to Orleans Hotel) - Tao (partially) @ Venetian - Body English (partialy) @ Hard Rock.
  13. Great review Ed .... luv the details on the mopping policy at Pure getting covered
  14. Just got back from Vegas and going to give a detailed review in a day or two. Had a WONDERFUL time, one of the best times in a few years. Great people, great drinks, (weather was perfect, for my taste at least), not enough girls in the venues (but it was an off weekend), lots of major celebs in one spot and on stage .... and of course the venues and the bars. Some of the stuff thats getting reviews are Mix, Body English, Hard Rock, Paris, Drais, Tryst, Jet. And in the review, going to try to incorporate some new items for those you who like myself like to hit up some bars daytime, kick it in the sun on the strip and just chill with a great coffee, bar crawls, hottie-mapping, and more. I think this trip was so good because the daytime was as good as the nighttime, or at least, just an extension of it.
  15. lalate's winter 2006 review of Vegas put Mix w/ Empire Afterhours as the best spots. Ive been going to Mix for years, and went this last Sunday also. Love the place, and TheHotel also.
  16. lalate carries 6000 celebrity parties in 6 countries per year. Tell me what scene/genre you like, and I'll make you suggestions what to hit in LA..... and yeah, with LA, you could have 3 new venues by March that I dont even know of it right now lol
  17. This thread is going WAY off the focus of the poster's complaint which was alleged Racism and Service. Thats the focus. Not tips. Not price. A) The poster has begun the thread by claiming racist slurs were levied by staff, yet has still not posted it. Wtf is with that? It appears, but its hard to tell, that the major beef is that the sold table is basically not sellable. It was in a location that you cannot occupy during winter, is the allegation. Thats a huge no-no if that is true, and would make any of us fume. There is however a lot of subtext to what wasnted said by the poster which is what E and MW are discussing .... and probably the rest of will ring in over the next few weeks.. My focus (regarding subtext) is really, honestly, what were the 9 strangers doing, and if they were eventually part of the table, why? Was this a plan by the patrons to do a table of 28 but to masquerade it to the venue as a table service of 19 to save on money? Maybe yes, maybe no. If those 9 in anyway really looked like they have every intention of being part of the 19 from entry, came right in, sat in that booth, use the bottles, if it was my venue I wouldnt be happy with you. Maybe that happened. Maybe it didnt. Maybe the 9 entered, drank from the bar, hit the dancefloor, just wanted to be in the same venue as the friends of 19 - thats cool, thats fine. We shall see. For the short term, we are all just arguing over a lot of unclear facts and unspecified allegations.
  18. "Some numbers behind Microsoft Corp.'s evolution from Windows 95 to this month's consumer release of Windows Vista: Common retail price for Windows 95: $89.95 For Vista: Depends on user configuration. Upgrading a PC from Windows XP would cost as little as $99 for Vista Home Basic edition, up to $259 for Vista Ultimate. Suggested retail prices for those versions range from $199 to $399. Number of lines of code in Windows 95: 11.2 million In Vista: 50 million is a commonly cited figure, but Microsoft refuses to confirm that officially. Approximate number of Windows 95 programmers: 200 For Vista: More than 2,000, according to one Microsoft developer's blog, but Microsoft also won't confirm that."
  19. Tipping is really not the focus of the post. Rather it's 1) table location 2) allegations of slurs.
  20. I'm understanding "Despite tipping the host around 80.00, all additional members (mostly female) had to pay" means they tip'd $80 per additional member. (At least I'm hoping what she meant). Last night in LA my tab poured by my friend was about $20 and I tipped $10 lol.
  21. The math on this one needs some explaining from the patrons. Table Reservation - 19 19 persons/ 1 bottle per 3 = 7 bottles 7 bottles x $350 bottle = $2450 + tax + simple tip = around $2800 Thats: no cover, no table fee, no major tipping Stragglers - 9 9 x $30/40 = $about 400 That brings you up to $3200 without any major tipping. Math is not that unproportional. ))))))))))))))))))) Questions )))))))))))))))))) 1. Any vip host? 2. When was the reservation made? Table of 19 3. Total bill? 4. Was it 7 bottles? 5. Any table fee? 6. Any cover? 7. How much in total tip? Party of 9 8. Were the table crashing the 19? 9. Was this really a party of 28 trying to have 9 table crash without paying table moneys? 10. How much in cover? Thoughts (in general) 1. Girls pay cover in Vegas. 2. Arriving early doenst mean you get the best table. 3. If the table is empty, doesnt mean its not sold 4. No vip host (like one of the several on here like myself and epoce and others), the bigger the party, the worse the hookup you doing it yourself. 5. Big is not better to a venue. 6. Even if you spend $$$ of dollars, you still have to tip a good deal. With complete deference to the poster, who obviously had a bad time, the way the post was written by her (just the way it was written) shows: - no racist comment - upset about the table placement for a 19 person reservation with 9 stragglers that had no viphost assisting them. - alot of mentioning about girls not having to spend money.
