  1. what do girls really like to hear? SLEAZY HOUSE. I have been keeping an eye on the board these past couple of days as I have an interest at the moment with what has been going on at Maze recently and of course how the Phat Music Sesssions went last night which judging by initial reports went as well as it could have gone which is a start in the RIGHT direction this is the most important step and a positive one too a project like this is going to take a lot of time and things as corny as it will sound need to grow organicly, week by week, month by month - this has been the ethos of Deeper Substance here in London and it has so far with all the hard slog gone into it, worked and worked well Now the aim is to bring that spirit and ethos to a global stage and last month at Reserved was a massive step in hopefully showing Miami this can be possible and possible with help from the bigger players. The next night on the 24th will see Deeper Substance back in Miami this time at Maze and I will be looking to carry through with Marco, with Alejandro and Mono and Chris that same ethos and drive to push things forward and grow WITH Maze. I have heard some pretty stonking reviews about the club structure wise but as someone pointed out earlier, there is a lot of work needed in terms of promotion but with REGULAR fixtures like I hope DS can be at Maze, this will lead to a loyal following in time, comfortable in their surroundings and the quality of diverse music on show that will happen on the night. What Biz is doing at Space is awesome with the Lunar Sessions and there needs to be more people like Biz with the balls and the connections to do just that. On top of that he is an ace bloke as well I personally am relishing the challenge and urge all you guys as well to do your bit to make that next postive step for Miami.
  2. PICTURES??????? glad it seemed to go well from initial reports
  3. pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease best of luck tonight
  4. cheers guys funkteer do you have any more of those pics...hvae most of them from dan but not that last one... still wont forget that night in a long time and the 24th will I hope with the same support and even more support from Miami will be another memorable night
  5. Want to wish everybody associated with the night the best of luck and a fantastic opportunity for Mono and Chris who did a great job warming up for me when I came over to play at Reserved. Support your local scene it's the most important foundations for whatever night so long as there is something new being tried which can allow the music and the clubs to move forward. Miami needs more push from great people like Biz at Lunar and Marco and the rest with PM. Hoping it all goes well and merry xmas Looking forward to coming back to town again next month on the 24th. It's going to be a lot a lot of fun;)
  6. mate you have hit the nail on the head no matter how many people are in a club, if you are not playing the sounds you believe in, then you will fail from the start and just be any other wannabe DJ out there. You have to stick to your guns its as simple as that. For me Burridge is the complete example of that. The guy just doesnt give a shit and plays material that you wouldnt even think would work on the floor....BUT IT DOES.....there is someting there in his sound and its the reason why he is as big as he is the same with howells, the same with zabiela, myself...... the same with a lot of people and down the line they will come to you believe me
  7. got to love those peeps at Groovetech. the show from last week is up and archived on the show. 8. If you're at home later this evening (Thursday 9pm-12am-London time) doing the domestic chores, log onto http://www.groovetech.com and catch me stepping in for James Zabiela, spinning for 3 hours playing some of the highlights from the recent US tour which took in NYC with Danny Tenaglia at Vinyl/Arc and when Deeper Substance gatecrashed Miami last week.
  9. hey hey thanks I have put a post up on the GU Board which has the link to pictures and highlights from the night as well so please feel free to take a look at it I would actually be most grateful if those who posted feedback of the night if they could post the same on the board too to spread the word on what turned out to be a an awesome night out for all of us this would be much appreciated people here is the link to the thread http://pub129.ezboard.com/fglobalundergroundfrm25.showMessage?topicID=6158.topic
  10. not much more I can add to everything except for me to say thank you to all of you for coming down that Thursday. The night panned out perfectly and was so good to see you nutty Colombians and Brazilians getting down to the Deeper Substance vibe we have each month back in London the venue was just right and so was the soundsystem, and so many hot people and ladies too i wish I just had more time to talk to you more, especially the ladies. How we can make this party grow into something legendary over there in Miami is for those who came down who had such an awesome time to come again for the next one and spread the word further to all of your friends this is how the underground vibe is real and is what has been the backbone of its success since DS kicked off almost 18 months ago The 5 hour monster set was also recorded by the Proton people and there will be full details up shortly about where to hear it
  11. ha ha i will definitely keep that in mind thanks
  12. Hi everybody, I haven't posted many times on the board before but do read most of the posts sicne i joined aa few weeks back I run a night in London called Deeper Substance and hosted my first party back in May 2001. During that time, I have been lucky enough to have some awesome DJ's to play alongside including Omid 16B, Clive Henry Lee Burridge and Rui da Silva. The success of the night has led a a demand in doing something abroad in the States especially. They say dream can come true if you work hard enough and one of them has come true. On Friday 8th November I will be playing alongside Danny Tenaglia for Be Yourself at Arc. I cannot wait and even have 3 of my best friends coming along all the way from London to see me and take in New York. It will be my first time there and have been waiting for this ever since I had the gig confirmed months back Hope many of you can make it down that night. You can also catch me at Centro FLy as well the night before on the 7th with the awesome Low End Specialists.
