I've had some great times at Vibe, hung out there many times with great Gainesville friends..(subversionrecords.com) It's definitely a great small venue and very loyal to the music.. Last time I was up in GV, I had a gig at Simons.. I left my own gig to hang out with none other then OG, Ralph and Jason... as I am walking up the stairs and enter the room.. the (size of my living) room was rammed to capacity while crowds chanted each vowel in Oscar's French Kiss Remix of Dark Beat..then as the beat dropped.. a "home-made" liquid nitrogen shot saturated the room.. it was a moment frozen in time for me.. that night the 4 of us came to the conclusion that Vibe's upstairs room is, well, basically a miniature-space.. Dan, Ramon, I'd definitely head up there with you guys, though chances are I may be in Ibiza that weekend doing some work.. but f*ck it, bust the road trip anyway.. it should be wicked fun seeing Howells rock that room apart. >dee m

I rarely post but I must speak since I am a true matrix fan. Shawn Rudnick, James Zabiela and I just caught the screening that Ocean Drive and Cadillac hosted at the Lincoln Theater.. the movie is a real twister and is nothing short of absolutely amazing..wicked time, I cant get it out of my head. we even saw the first preview for part 3, the plot just gets more intricate.. a definite must see..Silver and the Wachowskis are brilliant minds.. definitely catch the midnight show tomorrow guys. Steve's performance was nothing less than Phenomenal. Incredible Arrangement and Selection. Amazing balance and tuning into the audience: he dealt out dark tracks, great melody, floorfillers, spectacular build-ups, flawless blending, some old school hits, and BANGIN' energy. (AND THIS WAS JUST THE FIRST 4 HOURS IN THE BLUE ROOM) Upon picking Steve up at the airport earlier, Alex and I asked him if he would be up for a patio set (a suggestion that was actually originally thought of by Ivano - Thanks to him for yielding his set time, something which was his honor) , Steve told us when we were in the car that he surely would not mind doing a short set outside and then said to us in the most sincere manner "guys, I love to play music" When the clock hit 6:20 AM in the terrace it seemed as if we were warped into another dimension.. Steve Lawler set it off... It was undescribable, if you were not there you missed a truly beautiful sequence of house music. The records he played reminded me why I love what I do and why this music is my oxygen. It was a pure night and morning, an experience, we look forward to the next one and are proud to have Steve Lawler as Space-Miami resident.
