  1. Look at my profile 'wakeup'. I am 30. BTW, I will be hitting the slopes this weekend. A-Basin will will be awesome as usual. No need for you tell me to hit the slopes though. When I speak of people as being young and immature, it is not just chronological age, but mental age as well. I guess it was really that hard to act mature for more than 20 minutes. No need for you to apologize; you just can't help yourself kid.
  2. From what I've read there are a lot of very immature and also very young people on this board. Not since the 10th grade have I seen this low a level of maturity. We have people judging others based on whether they like/listen KTU or not. We have others name calling and 'flaming' on a consistent basis. We have other people (read kids) here bashing others and incessantly nitpicking others' tastes in various forms of Electronica. Why all the petty, immature bullshit? Why every single day? Why not diasagree in a mature manner? What would it take for some of you to compose yourselves like mature adults? How about trying to do just that even half of the time? Would it kill some of you to exercise some civility and self control? Is it really that fucking hard? I think many of you may very well be developmentally disabled. Some of it is obvious as evidenced by the simple fact that many of you have the grammar skills of an 8 year old. Here we have a thread where someone likes a track and 'maybe' 20% of the replies are relevant to thread's subject of the song itself. Can't we all just at least try to stay on topic? Let's try this for one day. I know it can't be done... Sad...
  3. I don't have the perspective that most of you CP'ers do adn I won't pretend to know that much at all about your 'scene', but I want to interject my opinion as an outsider looking in. Fucking Manahattan! It is right out your back door! 99% of the rest of the country wishes they even had an 'Exit' to bitch about. Not dissing anyone, but with all of the complaints, everyone here ought to go out and patronize other places and that in-turn will make another place 'the hot-spot'. The key though here is to let the Mgmt. of Exit know what the 'majority' wants. Hopefully the also rad this board. Maybe though this board is not the majority. Maybe it's the 'underground' so to speak. I am sure that Exit is doing its best to make itself a successful venture( read, profitable). They are in business to make money by providing a good time. Maybe the way they are doing it actually is the best way from a fiscal standpoint. This may not be the way CP'ers see it and you may be wrong. Who knows? Only time will tell with the new 'EVOLUTION'. On another note, I've never even heard Mike Bugout spin, but with him getting props from nearly everyone here, it's a shame that he can't get (or doesn't yet have or maybe doesn't want yet) a weekly residency at a place in the city. He alone should be able to pack a decent sized club nearly every Friday/Saturday night from what I've read here. Damn! I wish I had one 1/50 the nightlife options that you CP''ers here do. Be thankful (and I'm sure that most of you are underneath) for all that Manhattan has. I wish I lived in NYC for about 20 hours of every week (actually weekend), although I love Denver, CO the other 148 hours of the week and it works best for me overall. I love reading all of these threads about NYC nightlife. It's the best nightlife on the face of the Earth!
  4. I heard several great DJ's mentioned, but what about Manny Lehman? He straight rocked it at Roxy last Saturday/Sunday! Great set Manny!!!
  5. Fuck this thread about Saci then. If most of the people on here are not very high on Saci, then why not just let this thread die and not give Saci anymore free exposure then has already been given? BTW, I am not taking sides here. I can't stand those so-called 'high end' places with their $7 an hour door men that treat 'potential' patrons like shit. That in and of itslef tells one that the place has zero class. That's not how one goes about being 'high end'. Being 'high end' and exclusive doesn't mean having a lack of courtesy, manners, and disrepsect for others. There is a right and a wrong way to deal with 'potential' patrons that don't meet the citeria of what the place wants in there on any given night. Being selective about who is let in in one thing (and that is fine), but treating people in any kind of a disrespectful manner in the process is classless and is not the right way. BTW, what are 'the' good/better lounges in Manhattan? Let's talk about those. I sure would like to know! Also what lounges actually have decent DJ's too? (Lotus sucks horribly. At least it did three weeeks ago on a Saturday. That is my benchmark for shitty DJing overall).
  6. Who gives a shit if it is or isn't her real info? What is that going to change here on an Internet discussion forum anyway? This is all very childish and immature. The Internet sure does attract a lot people that have nothing better to do. It also attracts a lot of people who just like to fuck with others and stir the pot. The people they fuck with most of the time don't even know that they are being fucked with either. The fact that clubplanet even has a drama discussion board at all only seems to spur on those types and give them the 'green light' to go ahead and play their little game(s) on this board. It is sad, but often funny at the same time. Even I am drawn into to a small degree by making this post. At least I don't get directly involved and fuel the fire though. Merry Christmas (and Happy Holidays) to all...
  7. Try Cherry in the W. Tuscany Hotel on the corner of 39th st. and Park Ave. in West Midtown. I've been there twice and had a good, laid back time both times. It can get a little cheesy at times. The DJ played decent tunes, but couldn't mix or match a beat to save his life. He also played Jay Z four out of ten songs at one point too. That's a sure sign of a lousy DJ; can even get the song selection goin'. The music ins't the draw though; it's only there for the background. The crowd was mid 20's to mid 30's roughly. Pretty laid back vibe with very little pretentiousness for Manhattan. Don't know what your style is, but it is basically a nice, little lounge. The place goes off from Happy Hour basically to 2 or later (I left at around 2 both times and it was still packed). There was a line up until 1:00 or so as well. Check it out.
  8. You people are too funny. What does this entire thread add to anything on a positive note? Nothing is the answer! It only bolsters the immaturity that is already rampant on this entire, FUCKING website. No one I know from the tri-state area over the age of 18 acts the way the majority of you people do. Grow up and do something more productive than stupid, Internet bashing and drama... JESUS CHRIST you people are petty.
  9. $10 an hour door men. Gotta love em'! Their parents must be proud of them making things happen in NYC 'jigga' style. Would my Engineering background get me a job as a door man at Saci? What about being 5'10" 185 lbs at 6% bodyfat? Maybe with a little Prada or D&G I'd be set fo' sheezy! djfabioc - who is the guy in the picture in your sig next to JP in the white 'sleveless'? Just curious lol... I LOVE NYC. Honestly I do. No where else on Earth (outside of some bars/clubs/lounges in Paris or London) could you have stories like this...
  10. 'Some' of you people are pathetic. Most of you have lived your whole, entire FUCKING lives inn he Tri-state area and you have maybe travelled once or twice to South Beach or Vegas, but you've never lived anywhere esle. You people need to get life. You make the Sopranos seem more and more like real life every time a read a post here. Who really cares about NYC expect you people there. The nightlife is great and the Culture is bangin' too. So the fuck what? I can fly out to NYC two or three times a month and party my ass off for 1/2 the rent you fuckers pay each month and still pay my mortgage and we all break even. You also rent because you cannot afford to own SHIT other than your clothes and your bedroom set. Renting long term - now that is really smart and puts you at a wonderful tax advantage. Meanwhile I am building equity in the house I live in and am generating positive cash flow on my three rentals (condos that I own). Go live somehwere else NYCers and Jersey peeps. Get a real picture of what's out there. I have lived in Germany, Orlando, San Diego, Denver and Baltimore. Your perspectives are a BIT fucked up... This thread is dead. BTW... tempkid is NJStacked off of Elitefitness.com. Check his shit over there. Straight High School/Frat boy BS...
  11. There's a song I've heard a few times over the last couple of months. I believe it is 2 - 3 months old or so. It's called (I 'think') In Their World (or In Your World) and I 'think' it's by King Cobra (or King 'something') It's a deep/vocally type house song. It's a little on the slow side as far as BPM's for house. The song is straight up bangin'... The chorus goes something like: "I can see how it is...In Your World..." I don't really know exactly how it goes and I could not explain here using my keyboard. I was 'drunk' the two or three times I heard it. Any help is appreciated.
