  1. As much as I want to get out of this scene because I dont like that everybody seems to have a juge attititude I cant deny I llove the music. I went to Factory a few times in the like 98 and 99 and loved it. The women wre gorgeous and the music was unreal. The past few times Ive gone I havent been impressed at all. The music has been blah and the crowd seems to have changed a little. I love hard house but I know what you're talking about with Shelter. The music was prtty good but I liked the energy at Shelter a lot. People were smiling while they were dancing and it was just a real positive atmosphere. Nobody was trying to be anybody. By the way I dont do drugs or even drink I just go for the music first and the energy second. I keep reading about Roxy on Friday and wished that I was there.
  2. Yup I guess your postings have made this thread so popular, not the 1000 other people who looked at it. Let me be the first to thank you for gracing us with your presence. I dont post on the 'three legged pregnant arabian yac' site because I have no interest. I could care less who posts here, it's a free country, but your saying that you dont go to these clubs becuase you're too cool. So again I know your intelligent because you must be to have a job....anyway....why would you post on a topic you have no interest in. Either your a hippocrate or you have a tiger living with you in your apartment.
  3. Ok Im obviously not in your inner circle of gay friends and I have lost my decoder ring so I cant understand your language. All this being said you are still posting on a club and DJ that your not interested in...repeatedly!!!!!!! Why? (Now Im not tired anymore)
  4. pretty much....too tired from waiting on line
  5. ummmmmmm who the fuck is up ther eto even see a line................. i dont party above 27th street as do alot of other people in the city....... But yet you post on a message board about a club above 27th street....interesting
  6. Look under no circumstances did I know it was going to be a 2 hour wait. Had I known there is no way I would have waited. The reason I even waited was because I dont get a lot of Sat. nights off and I know I like his music period. And as far as the person who said that the club is not concerned with how the line looks outside, then why would they create one in the first place. Of course they are concerned with the line outside - nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd. But my point is that if Im passing by a club the line is the vibe thats going to be inside. I understand that the really hot girls are probably getting in right away. But if I see 50 guys, no girls and its not a gay club - Im not going. I felt like this line was handled by a bunch of frat boys who didnt want any guys coming in to drink their beer. To think the line doesnt mean anything is the kind of thinking that the people at Black obviously subscribe to.
  7. I love my ipod but Itunes never has any good house or trance music on it. How would I go about downloading music on to there. Is there a website or do I have to do something. Please explain because Im pretty computer illiterate.
  8. I thougth that the upstairs could have been closed because of Easter. But that makes the outside line stuff all the more ridiculous. JP could have very well been amazing but when your not feeling it your not feeling it, so it just sounded off to me. Also a 350 pound black guy in his 30's was doing door. Is that Paris? Either way I had heard some bad stuff ablout Exit at the door but never experienced it. I thought since JP was kind of in charge it would be different. But I guess its the same management. To me it just seems like you would have to go out of your way to drop the ball on this stuff. I just dont get it.
  9. I went to Black last nite around 130 and there was a line around the block. I saw cop cars there and they really didnt seem to be letting anyone unless they were getting bottle service so I thought there was a possibility they were going to shut it down. I got in line anyway and had a vip tix for free admission before 2 as did a lot of people. They started letting people in a little after 2 but said that the guestlist was now closed and it was now $30 to get in. Then if you were a girl you got in right away with whoever you were with. Leaving 50 guys in line and having people driving by in their cars screaming sausage fest. We were told there were too many guys in there already so the line was closed for now for guys. We finally got in after standing in the cold at 330. I thought JP was ok, but a little sloppy, but that could have been because I wasnt in the mood anymore. Also upstairs was closed which I didnt quite understand. Ok a few thoughts: 1) My understanding was that we were being held up in line because of the cops at 130. If that was the case then I would think a professionaly run club would ofer me an apology for the extra wait andmy guestlist pass along with everyone elses should have been honored despite it being past 2. Instead it looks like oh well you had to wait extra time and screw you now you pay $30. 2)I would think that you should be a little more concerned with how the line looks outside as opposed to just concentrating on the ratio inside. I understand that clubs like to create lines but it seems moronic to me to create a line of 50 guys. It looks horrible to people passing by to see a 'sausage fest'. I know I wouldnt want to go to that club that night or any time in the near future for that matter. 3)Absolutely no reason we had to wait over an hour to get in in the freezing cold after they started letting people in. It was getting brutal weather wise out there. It just seemed like amateur night - I would think you would want to treat your patrons a little better. 4)Maybe it was just me but it just struck me as the club was waiting to be closed at any minute. Just looked uncared for inside. Upstairs closed, It looked like a closet was open going up to the third floor. I dont know just whatever. I really cant say if JP was good or not - I honestly couldnt get into it. All and all I love the music (when Im in the mood) but after being treated like a third class citizen I think I and a lot of the people on that line will think twice before going to Black again.
