LIFEbeat mobilizes the talents and resources of the music industry to raise awareness and to provide support to the AIDS community. In 1992, the music industry had not yet addressed the AIDS crisis with a unified voice, although many of its members had succumbed to the disease. Bob Caviano, a respected music manager, wrote an editorial in Billboard disclosing his illness and challenged the industry to take action. A number of high-level executives heeded his call and formed LIFEbeat. Over the years, LIFEbeat has emerged as a leading advocate for prevention efforts directed at youth. Recognizing that music has always played a significant role in the lives of young people, LIFEbeat has carved out a unique niche by effectively using the power of music to reach this population. LIFEbeat strives to cultivate a strong sense of self-worth and self- respect in youth to help them resist negative influences that may lead to engagement in risky behaviors. 5. So the official count was 7,424,people thruout the night. Not bad for a small party lol. Heres some pics
  6. Im to tired to write one what does that tell ya. And becuase of ps1 and this night i think the next time anybody sees me out will be on the 17th for danny howells and danny tenaglia. I barely can walk up the stairs. Great meeting new people and hanginw ith old people lol and danincg the night away in many circles with mikey numbers, drewminati, and my boy eliseo who doesnt post here. Sander played much much much different than last time i heard him more harder and faster and more techyish. Steve porter was ok at times and annoying at times lol. Overall i had a fun expeirence even if musically the music wasnt exactly my cup of tea. Lots of faces thruout the night made my night and dancing with my brothers in dance lol was the highlight of my night. But since partying at ps1 since 5pm adn tehngoin straight to crobar really did me some damaged. I shouldve sat on the speaker for a few hrs like the legendary mask did. And yes SANDER K did remember me at the end of the night when i was leaving he was sitting by the speaker and i waved to him and he said hey its the "HOUSEMAN" and we exchanged some minmal conversation woohoo lol. I just realized that i will be out next sat lol to shelter and then sunday 718 sessions to get my HOUSE fix oh boy. ANd then again maybeon a weds or thurs. Why is it so addicting. Oh yeah speaking of that shit a lot fo weirdos kept coming up to me,eliseo, drew, and mike asking for drugs, whats up with that. Just cause we look NUTTY dancing and dont seem to stop doesnt mean we are on that shit. Stop asking i never use to mind but now its like SOOO ANNOYING. Wanna do some drugs call a dealer and stay home please or go to that other drug party one block away. And then its more annoying when nobody believe US that we dont do shit.
  7. dude i was there from 5pm till closing and was also lucky in avodining the line. I was all over the place i think mostly everyone i know from every other messageboard was there lol. And then when some of my peeps showed up we were in the corner trying to find space to dance. So many people to name on here were partying it up. ANd francios k and derrick may holy crap everybody knows im a house head but when the genres of music are mixed like that especially with francios touch ITS AMAZING. Final count i heard was 7000 people. Now thats insane, also what is insane is dancing onthe gravel my shoes were fucked up and my legs were tired. Me and some friends went to crobar afterwards and were dead by 4am. Now im at work after napping 2 hrs here at the desk and i cant beleive how much fun ps1 is. Also if i knew so many people there im sure there were even more people i knew who i didnt even see. Hell i even saw people from philly, boston, atlanta, who ive partied with ONCE or twice at various clubs. Ok im a lil hype now.
