  1. Ya know how i like talking about history of house music and dance culture well heres some more history for those who care. ENJOY: http://ped111251.tripod.com/francis.htm
  2. Its not just a gay strip club and you would be suprise how good the sound system is in that room. Im not gay but i do follow djs wherever they play and let me tell ya how great FRANKIE KNUCKLES,DAVID MORALES, HEX HECTOR, STEVE TRAVOLTA, LORD G, MERRITT have been at that venue. Its very overwhelming but nonetheless i had a great time whenever ive gone. And hex has been around since the late 80s early 90s. Also its not where the dj plays that makes the party.
  3. been doin my own thing like i see you have, im sure we are gonna run into each other eventually, be good.
  4. I never said it was straight lol. Its a shame that some people dont even know that gay blacks, white and latinos started this culture and industry. Looka t the most influential club of all time ,imo and many others, THE PARADISE GARAGE 1977-1987 10yrs on fri night and sat nights, was for all practical reasons a gay club and only after a few yrs was fri ngiht made more for straight people. And if peopel dont know what djs were inspired from LARRY LEVAN at the garage well heres a short list: DANNY TENAGLIA, JUNIOR VASQUEZ, PAUL OAKENFOLD, ROGER SANCHEZ, DAIVD MORALES, LOUIE VEGA, FRANCOIS K, JOE CLAUSSELL,ETC
  5. Hex hector gets my respect but i wonder if these guys were hearing him when he payed at sbny a few months ago or when he played crobar with timmy regisford 2 yrs ago on a thurs. Also dont get me started on some of his productions and im not talking about you ghhhhost im talkin to the other guy who said GREATEST house songs, i guess he also means the toni braxtons unbreak my heart era. Go back to hex hector in the early to mid 90s and yes i will say he has some great productions.
  6. Well the first dj that i know of doing after hrs in nyc was DAVID MACUSO in 1968 at THE LOFT. 35yrs later hes still doin it but its not after hrs anymore and its not weekly either and he gave up mixing in the 80s. All the club goers and djs from the late 60s,70s would go to the loft at around 3am 4am and stay until the afternoon. But i hear what your saying, im just a nut when it comes to history thats all.
  7. Oh that cd well thats not a strictly rhythm release that was a ministry of sound release from like 2000-2001. The morillo cd im talkign about is from 1993 and i thought you meant the louie vega cd from 1995.
  8. Yeah hes played that track but it wasnt made by him.
  9. Every yr timmy leaves for the first few months as a break i remember those rumors of rehab, maybe true maybe not. And i said MANGLED MESSES, not drug free party. And i dont get asked every 5 mins for some coke or k or tina at shelter like at every other afterhrs party. From the yrs ive been goin to the people i know drugs really arent that big of that party as much as you may think. Yes thiers weed and im sure theres people who do thier thing here and there but not as crazy or numberous as the other after hrs.
  10. Which one from strictly and louie and what yr now your gonna make me go thru my collection, ahhh.
  11. Just for that no more free nights at cielo for you ,hahahaha.
  12. Armand will always have my respect and have been a fan of his much earlier procudtions as oppose to some of his newr stuff. So have fun mike and well tedd patterson is also palying that night at CIELO,fyi.
  13. I'll go with "OH NO" "Surrender yourself" THE DAOU "Finally" his return to paradise mix "Elements" his mix of "Free your mind" among many others. Now for the creator of this thread if you asked to just get names and download all the songs in this thread for free, TSK TSK.
  14. Try hearing his productions from 1990 until about 1999,totally different sounds and style. I prefer his older stuff myself. I have a strictly rhythm cd of his from 1993 and its lovely.
  15. Just to clarify its SILVER05 from jersey not SILVERBULL(me) from brooklyn lol.
  16. what are you looking for in terms of music and crowd and what dates?
  17. I hope this question is about HIS PRODUCTION and not something he plays. Are counting remixes as well or how about other alias hes used in the 90s to put out tracks, can you be more specific for me?
  18. Why come to NYC and waste all that money for a club that will play the same music you can hear for free on the radio?
  19. Hope it goes great for the people crew, gonna try to stop by.
  20. And what yr would you pinpoint this being? Cause nyc has been doin after hrs since 1968 and that i know of and even possibly b4 that time. And depends what type of after hrs party and crowd and musci you go to. Cause i say go to SHELTER as see how that party 15HRS gets it done with people dancing to 1pm sun afternoon from 11pm sat night. And you wont see no mangled messes jsut straight up hosueheads guys and girls dancing and singing to the music, gay and straight.
  21. a great dj at one of my fave clubs, see you guys there.
  22. wonder where crobarlex is on this thread? As for asians ruining the party for some i can understand what your complaints are but most of the asians that have that negative vibe about them go to parties that are tribal, dark, hard beats after hrs type of music and crowd. Cause thats where the drugs are at and some of them use, buy, sell them to all the other drug users who are white. But if some of ya were to go to other parties and see the asians that dance amazing, who are nice and cool and friendly ya would hopefully defend them when given a bad name. Its like callin all jersey peeps gudios and guidettes most of them ruin it for the non guidos guidettes for example. Sadly i think its fucked up what crobar is doin and if its gonna enforce a sort of discrimanation policy they should have some evidence or pics of the asians who ruin the parties and not just all asians. Then again ive seen crobar deny entry to alot of people online of other races and have been told that some are known dealers. I was almost forced out 2 times for suspicion of drug dealing of all people, those who dont know me well i dont drink nor need drugs to dance for 8hrs plus.
  23. Technically speaking that would be EXIT/IKON whatever its called now.I think avalons main floor is somewhat similar in size to websterhall, i think spirit and pacha are about the same and crobars main is quite big but thier main room is huge.
