ive been to SOL alot over the past few months and they never seem to turn anyone away. But then again i guess it depends on what night your talking about. FRI when its house music doesnt seem to be that way also when theyhad thurs open as well. SAT for the hip hop parties now thats another story cause well you know how that culture is.

CIELO on mon nights is the shit with the DEEPSPACE party with FRANCOIS K. And SAPPHIRE LOUNCE has a long running MON-DAZE party with rotating djs.

damn wish i couldbe saw this earlier. All depends what type of asains yor talking about. Theres 2 types in this scene but most people only think of 1 kind and that is the kind that go to a lot of the parties and shake each other and do drugs and are rude. There generally found at parties where the beats are hard and the drugs are shared like their white counterparts. And then tehres the other types of asains who are house dancers and their found at deephouse/funk parties. Next time your coming in town shoot me a pm.

the best dancers in nyc were present. Damn watching them is amazing. Def a good night but still not a fan of the venue.

I bought the whole set for my g/f and now i cant stop watching it with her. I hated the show when it was on the air but now watching it with her makes it enjoyable. Alot of the extras and small part roles are alot of people who use to come to my salon on the upper east side. So maybe always being surrpouinded by it and them at the time made me sick of it.

man i think im gonna ask to get paid from promoting all the parties and djs i love everywhere. Well maybe i wont ask and it will happen anyhow lol. Only thing i ask for is when i put another STIMULUS RESPONSE event is for people to know that im putting together a slamming party with slamming music.

the reason why no ny dj has made a big splash YET is cause all the rooms are catering to european djs and people are eating it up.

Thats cause some people cant look past the obvious big room big dj. But luckily some do and then realized wait a sec theres more to the club scene then what i thought.

i tell you this much anythign i put my name behind or say that is good or that im working with. Is done because i actually believe in such and such djs anbd the concept behind the parites or venues. And i dont even get paid for the parties i post about, its called LOVE.

CIELO, SOL, SULLIVAN ROOM, LOVE are my fave venues. Deep only once a month when danny krivit does his 718 sessions party on sundays. And on occasions when louie vega, or some toher dj does something there. SPIRIT is the only big room in nyc that i really like.But only when someone good is playing.

Damn a few days ago i met these 2 "promoters" who really annoyed the shit out of me. To me this is whats wrong with the industry. SCENERIO 1: Talking to this guy and hes like "wurd i know your face and stuff so your cool and i can talk to you"(???wtf) I asked him what does he think of sucj and suck djs and parties and even the party he was involved with. Hes like i dont give a shit who these djs are and i dont know thier names. I just wanna bring in heads get paid and hopefully get laid. Im like so you dont care that such and such dj ios palying here tonite. Hes like wurd its a dude i thought it was a girl and no i dont care owners gonna pay me anyway. Does anybody else see anytig wrong with this picture, SCENERIO 2: Met another promoter a few hrs later lol and she was like yeah man im trying to get this dj to play and stuff and we had such and such b4. Im like wow you must really be a fan and support their parties when theyt play someplace else. She was like nah i dont go hear these guys but i read and hear good things so figured why not have them play. SIGH, is this what this industry is like? People working with no passion or ideas or knowledge about certain djs and the scene and just doing it as a job.

Eman and Lola have a 5 yr residency on tues nights at sapphire called DEEPSEE and has some of the best dancers in nyc each week getting down to their great beats. Every once in awhile they do a party together called BEYOND last 2 times at cielo were fun. Anyhow this week on thurs it will be at apt, i think its like 5 bucks and such. Lola is one of the djs that has played at both of my stimulus response parties, so some of ya know what to expect.

Wow just wow. I really hope some of you guys check out quentin harris as he is the future of this industry with his productions and his fun sets as well. Danny krivit been around since the 1970s so no need to drop his resume for ya. Def gonnabe a good night of music. See you guys there from 9pm till 3am.
