  1. Fergie To Rock Hot New Hamptons Club Fergie, Playboy Bunnies, The Cast of HBO's "Entourage," Vic Latino - all of these celebrities make you think of great parties at nightclubs and it just so happens that the totally renovated Hampton Bays Nightclub called Whitehouse (formerly CPI) has them all confirmed on their guest list. Vic Latino, the radio superstar of XM satellite radio, 103.5 WKTU in New York City and world-famous DJ who grew up on Long Island and got his start at WBLI radio, and his partners have revived the club as Whitehouse and turned it into an A-list spot. The Grand Opening is this Memorial Day Weekend and Vic and the staff of Whitehouse are going over-the-top to make it an insane. On opening night - Saturday, May 26 - Playboy Bunny and reality television star from "The Girls Next Door," Kendra Wilkinson, will host the party with music in the main room by Vic Latino and George Marino. Sunday night, pop superstar Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas is scheduled to give a live performance, with music by Robbie Rivera. You may think that a performance by Fergie is going to run you a high cover charge, especially at such a high-end nightclub in the Hamptons l, but Whitehouse will only be charging $25 at the door. Also, if you show up with five people and want to get a bottle, then admission is free. "I want people to feel comfortable when they walk into my club and also feel great about being there. We are going to treat everybody the way I want to be treated at a club," Vic told me. I had to see this place for myself, so I drove to Whitehouse to check out the renovations. I could not believe how sleek and spacious it was. Vic has installed brand new speakers throughout the club. "Check this out," he said to me as we stood in the incredibly large dancefloor in the main room in front of the stage. Vic spun some Fergie through the new speakers and I could feel the beats resonating throughout my entire body. "It's like this everywhere in the club," said Vic. The interior has been completely painted white and cool, blue lights illuminate the space, giving the club a cool, South Beachl ocean feel. The secluded VIP lounges are positioned all around, where VIP guests receive bottle service and special VIP perks. There is even a large outdoor area that has a brand new stage for live music. The club is so big, walking through it just put a smile on my face. "This is going to be awesome," I said to Vic. "That's the plan." He showed me yet another area of the club, which is going to be filled with designer shoes, courtesy of a shoe boutique called Shoe Vixen, run by Hamptons shoe entrepreneur Todd Shapiro. The idea is that people who have been dancing all night may be in the mood to shop for new shoes. He has also set up a pizzeria and a sushi bar in the club, so you don't have to step out of the club if you get hungry. This Memorial Day weekend is going to be unbeleivable, especially on Sunday night, with Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas performing. You can get tickets in advance at www.wantickets.com. "Kendra and Fergie are just going to be great. The way I see it, we are going to have amazing performers at this place all summer long, in an A-list club venue. We can do that here because the space is so large. A real ultra-chic, A-list nightclub and event venue like this is missing in the Hamptons. Whitehouse is going to change that," said Vic with a smile. - David Lion Rattiner
  2. Hello from CPI, i would like to clear up a few things. We did take down the VIP area on the stage if you noticed all the couches and tables were gone, the Factory controlled that area, as they did not want to many people up there at one time because the dj cant see the dance floor. The CPI had only two operating vip areas the one to the left of the dance floor that has always been a vip area and one side of the round room which is were the promoters hung out with there friends. As far as the sound goes there were 6 additional speakers added to the dance floor for the night plus the 2 in the round room. The CPI did not recieve any of the door the CPI recieved the Bar revenue only. All in all i think it was a great night, with the exception of the beginning of the night when they wanted to put a different mixer in which took a lot of adapting to make it work, that was the hold up in the beginning. Thanks again for the memories John

  7. That VIP area was put in at the request of the promoters and was actually argued about as we did not want it there on stage. We finally caved as long as the area was removable, they actually wanted booths built there which we said no. But have no fear they are gone thank god should be a great weekend both nights

  17. CPI has been here for 20 years now and actually for 170 years here as a hotel niteclub and believe it or not a stage coach stop. As a historical landmark there are only a certain amount of changes allowed As far as all new goes we had added the two new vip areas the white vinyl area and the stage area, yes the club was painted white and yes we bought over 14,000 dollars in material for the walls. We upgraded the sound and lights from last year we got rid of all the cheesy beer neons and replaced the entire dance floor at a cost of 62,000. I take it you are a promoter as i am but i also have managed clubs and you really dont as most promoters dont understand the costs of running a club. The talent and promtions are a very very small fraction of what it costs You have no idea about the 8500 electric bills for every 4 nights you are open and the costs of insurance (liability, fire, property ect) You have no idea of the responsibilities to make sure everyone is safe and taken care of. I think CPI is the only club that i have ever seen that actually makes sure they have a EMT or paramedic on staff in case you get hurt or Get sick. When someone gets sick they are taken care of until a ambulance arrives. The owners and Managers actually care about every single person that walks threw the door the are very very nice people. When i say they care they really want every one to have a great and safe time. This is why i get so offended when people talk bad about the place. I think most club owners see customers as dollar signs these guys really and truly dont. They see you as friends or potential friends. Take a look at the management at the door Steve Rich and Pat haggerty probably some of the nicest guys in the buisness. I have no personal probem with Hom or any other club, everyone has a right to make money so i agree lets end the bashing and have a great end to summer. johnny cpi www.clubcpi.com
