Yeah I remember when I used to run shit around here. Now I'm just running the streets in Europe. It's awesome how bad Euro girls want American guys. I thought it was just a rumour(that's right I spell it with a 'u' now, you silly Americans)or something, but nope. Last week I was in this building just visiting a cousin and while waiting for the elevator this 17 or 18 year old skeez rolled up and started waiting as well. She smelled so good and asked me if I had just moved in and then told me that she just moved in a month ago and blah blah. So anyway I think I'm gonna try and get her pregnant. My junk feels 9 inches deep, which is a full 2/5th of an inch larger than normal, in this place. Everytime I walk in a store they can just tell I'm an American. I always finish my shopping the same way. I roll up to the register, flick her a purple-back(£500 for you boorish Americans)wink and tell her in my best bedroom voice 'here's looking at you, kid' and just stroll the fuck out like the killer that I am.
I'm in between an online poker sesh and watching Joaquin Phoenix on Letterman(so money, btw) so I'll tell you churly Americans my typical day.
Wake up at about 9:30 am and go for a walk downtown to the cafes. They're all condensed and lined up and shit. Which makes it awesome for a player like me to navigate easily and pick my landing destination. So I decide on a spot and me and Christo(my cousin, he's like the Farnsworth to my Diddy i.e holds my umbrella when it rains, flips his jacket over puddles for me to walk over, etc)sit down for a spanakopita and frappe. I sit back and evaluate the situation as a gaggle of floozies all stare like Menudo's in the building.
After this gets boring I tell Christo which who wins first place and have him inform her to meet us at Zook that night. I inform the losers there's always tomorrow. After this I head on over to the kafenio. This is basically an old-school social club where a lot of old Greek guys go to play cards. They're all complete dogshit at cards and I of course run shit. I always offer to never play again at a 50% discount of what I usually win which I think is fair. I'd just stop in everyday for my take. This is usually followed by many threats and American slurs and insults. One guy almost always throw chairs and tables. God, you tell someone you'd like to split their granddaughters' buns and they never forget. Anyway, I usually leave around this time.
It's usually around 3-4 pm by this time. So I go pick up either Goody's or Yummy Yummy for a little lunch and head back home. I'll usually play some COD or fallout3 on PS meh yawn. MLB The Show '09 in stores in a month thank kaballah.
And the day ends typically with an online poker sesh where I'm printing money and clowning fools this month. I'm about +19k for Feb. Toot! (that was my own horn) That figure is actually dogshit but here I live like a fucking Saudi Prince on it.
And that's all I have to say about that.

That would be an excellent point jon if the WS had actually started in 2000. however, there exists a period of time that you might not be too familiar with and that some wacky historians refer to as the "20th century" which is also when the World Series began (1903).
the yankees have appeared in 39 or 40(?) WS' since its inception I think So, ~35%? whatever.
anyway, i think the Mets should first try making the playoffs before envisioning such grand accomplishments such as the YI. baby steps, people. gl though, i think the division is yours this year.

nah dude. I mean, Boston is definitely better and you could maybe make the case the Yankees and Cleveland are as well but that's it really. Detroit might score 1100 runs this year but their pitching is not good at all. Other than Verlander and maybe Bonderman (shoulder problems)they have holes. Dontrelle was horrible last year and pithing in that division in the AL hell be wore most likely. And I hear Zumaya is nowhere near where he was 2 years ago.
Mets look very good right now. Obviously Johan is gonna be great in the NL and they have two great situations with both Pedro and O. Perez pitching in contract years so they'll be motivated even more. And if Maine can pitch aywhere near where what he did in the first half of last year...
Plus they get Duaner Sanchez back this year who i heard is pitching it sick in ST yo. The only thing is they're pretty weak in the corner OF spots but its not really a big deal.
i'd be really surprised if they didnt win their division and ultimately go on to the Yankee Invitational. But if the Phillies win again then lol. i like how beltran was all like 'you tell 'em the METS are the team to beat this year!' ok relax tiger that line was used last year lets move on

I honestly think this Mitchell report isnt a full representation of the # of juicers in MLB. Far from it ! I think the number Jose Canseco says might be just about right (over 70%) And what I cant comprehend is how Jose implies that A-Rod is a cheat and A-Rod doesnt even sue him for libel or defamation of character. For chrissakes, even top doper Sammy Sosa didnt even appear in the report!! Anybody with a half a brain would have done so. But then again, there might be some truth to it. We all chastisized Barry Bonds for his steroid use to help him shatter baseball's all time records, but at the same token, we (media & fans) give the newly outed phonies the benefit of the doubt. Anybody still thinks that asterisks should be stuck in this generation player stats ? What about those guys who amassed records during the minority barred era....should they be tagged too ? This thing opens up a can of worms nobody wants to deal with. One columnist said it best: What the HOF should do is let the records stand BUT with a cliffnote at the beginning stating that the records were achieved during differtent eras with controversies and let the fan/viewer decide on who's great or not Just because Clemens was erroneously mentioned in the media in a different federal inquiry doesnt make him innocent, I believe he's been a doper for a long time. Lets forget this doping thing and focus back on the sport. Just my opinion.
Of course he's been a doper for a long fucking time. In the report it states he was using in '97 or '99 I forget. But yeah he didn't use in Boston of course. No he was totally clean.
And Foulke didn't use either. Or even your captain Varitek. Boston is clean but the everyone else in the league is/was using.

fkornre, I'm not sure why o how you think Showalter put those teams together when it was actually Stick Michael orchestrated that whole thing.
Anyway, I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand Torre has taken the Yanks to 6 WS in 12 years and won 4 of them. that's impressive no matter how high your payroll is. Anybody who knows baseball knows it's a probablistic game and the best team won't always win 7 game series.
on the other hand...was he expecting a pay INCREASE or something? The contract he was offered was imo very fair. although, i dont really think it was about the money i think the fact that he would actually ACCEPT a pay cut would in some way represent weakness.

Seriously, I got my dress at Davids Bridal for $900. Even though I still thought that was way to much to pay for a fucking dress im only gonna wear once it was still really nice and I wasn't a bad price for a wedding dress. Plus it had swarski crystals all over it so I mean it was a pretty nice dress lol. Davids bridal actually has some really nice dresses for cheap .. good luck! Have you set a date or a place yet?
yeah i want my bride to wear swastikas all over her dress on our wedding night too. i think it'll add a nice touch to the ceremony.
