hi sorry guys, crazy week. so it was ok last weekend, but not nearly as much fun indoors. we're thinking of moving the sounsystem back outdoors for the last party, on the 18th.

well there are clubs, mostly in hollywood, that stay open until 3 or 4, but most bars and smaller venues close at 2.
yeah there are lots of jaded people here. the celeb thing can be interesting or even a bit exciting when you are new to it. after a while you get used to it. it can be annoying sometimes, but it's part of the economy and lots of people depend on the entertainment business for their employment, like me.

weather's great, traffic sucks
there are some really good people here, but it can take some time to find them.
the music scene is decent.
housing prices used to be really good, now they are kind of sucky.
there's lots to do, but the 2am bar closing time can be a drag.

well unfortunately while i was away i heard that we got our first noise compaint. so now this week we have to move the sound indoors at our venue. let me see how it goes this weekend and i'll let you know if we're even going to bother keeping it going or if the vibe is lost by the change.

damn joe, you'll just miss our sunday party. i was in miami over the the vma weekend and went to your fri nocturnal rooftop party. my girlfriend and i had a blast. i dj'd at the lust party on sat night too. lots of fun. you might want to try the monday social. i'll see if i can find any other suggestions for you.

i'm finally back! what a crazy trip. london was amazing. got to do some record shopping which ruled! miami was insane. i landed just before katrina hit. it sucked, but nothing like the poor people in new orleans. parties, vmas, blah blah, it was all about spinning late night at blue and meeting some of the miami cp'ers. hope everyone's doing well.

i had a blast and only wish i could have played longer. i was starting to hit my stride when the lights came up! oh well, hopefully i'll back down here soon.
i leave in the am. it's been a blast! the vma stuff has been crazy. glad i got to check out nocturnal on fri night as well (thanks sheldon and philippio). i always love getting to miami. it's my fav city!
