  1. i still think Ft Lauderdale for the most part isnt very happening...and therefore, does not compare to the club scene in Miami (not just South Beach!)
  2. Ft Lauderdale for the most part ....STINKS
  3. JL was fantastic indeed!!!!!!! I had a great time BTW in NO COVER, most Djs get at best, 10 mins of time to do as much as they can, thats TV for you!
  4. i couldnt agree more with you, POD (BTW the photos from the Roof are fantastic!!) new times has got to be one of the worst newspapers in terms of coverage (Level the best nightclub????). they did the same thing to the old Living Room after-hours club review........instigating stuff ....same thing with Crobar and the alleged Britney Spears incident in the ladies room...enough already??!!
  5. i like the low end specialists and steven lee from NYC Derrick Carter is awesome !!
  6. place had a great vibe and it was crowded til almost 430 am......
  7. i agree with Shroomy about the smoke, PLEASE, someone tell these people that it is annoying for such small room, i had to walk into a smoke-less area, if they cant afford nytrogen, then dont use that smoke, please. the sound was also a little strange, too much for such a small venue...maybe some tweeking might help it. what is the deal with the lukewarm beer??????? L&B, i was blown away by their abilities, taking the crowd through a journey of genres and most importantly, for the new tunes and old ones that i couldnt get enough of.........not being a fan of breaks, i enjoyed them very much...great crowd, great atmosphere ... thanks to Cooljunkie for bringing them !! hope this happens again!

    I hate rap, but

that track has been out for a while..........................Indian & Asian beats and hip hop have been hot in UK for some time now.
  9. I thought I was the only one that noticed the beer was freakin lukewarm and tasted like crap!! Horrible barstaff attitude about it too! Pappa was great, a little too banging at times but it was pretty damn good
  10. i love the patio .....whether it's Roland or Ivano -even better if its a GU DJ like Steve Lawler.....i dont really care whether you agree or disagree with me or that you think that you are too cool for the crowd.....
  11. i think this is an old list.........and very much like the DJ list ...a joke
  12. i cant wait for L&B...their club in London is the shit!!!
  13. Maybe those who expect to get comped at the door and get drink tickets ALL THE TIME dont drink afterhours, but A LOT of people do drink after 7am. And I also think that the Tea Dance party starting at 5pm has something to do with Space closing at noon. Fine by me Last I heard The Beach club closed the first weekend it re-opened, so competition is a far cry from being a reality.
  14. I dont think HOUSE music is on the agenda, those are all great DJs but on the hard house / trance tip.....I saw somewhere that Nelson Diaz is meant to be spinning, but THERE has got be more HOUSE DJs scheduled...........
  15. .....disliking Roland as a dj makes someone know nothing about music???? how so???
  16. Ironic - how the clubbing 'expert' hasnt responded to the comments and points made regarding his eloquent comments on how closing Opium is a "good move"...... I hope this doesnt happen...............
  17. PLEASE BRING THAT RADIO 107.1 BACK.....I LOOOOOOVED IT & YOU HAD outstanding programming, no bs, just pure underground beats ! STILL HAVE IT SAVED AS MY FAVORITE.....!!!!!!
  18. Just to let you know, Rumi, Crobar and other clubs like Prive are constantly mentioned on OD magazine because they ADVERTISE ! Others like Space, Tantra, etc ALSO ADVERTISE THERE *******
  19. - and your point would be ....?
  20. Your first point is right on.....I am not sure about the Maze comment One more thing, I also think it's horrible how some people on this board, keep making demeaning comments about local djs....if you dont like someone, fine then say it or you dont enjoy their music choice/mixing, thats a personal choice as well.........but dont keep rambling on and on about the DJ .,....ENOUGH ALREADY
  21. I feel the same (and agree 100% with Biz), I'd like to know what club-expert experience this guy has ?? I love the lights in the new blue room, and though I think the patio could use a little more seating - I am sure there will be more changes to accomodate people, the sound in the patio is much better than the old one -it rocks IMO......and if you cant see when you are in the patio, get some prescription eyewear, the new patio was meant to be larger !!!! The old patio was great, but get over it & embrace the new one -
  22. thats true about Rumi !!!!!!! they do rely heavily on their ' i'm a friend of a friend of a friend' door policy...still their music is awful, and it gets too crowded with no where to stand or sit ....
  23. Steve Lawler is awesome, usually the GU msg board has track ID listings............
