  1. ahhhhh candy get red of that sig, lol that is just sick
  2. infusion just the other day or probably sasha on his airdrawndagger tour
  3. not really pod, i've had more success picking up women at those places then at space or maze where I go for the music. Thing is by end of night my pockets feel a lot lighter. Now if u looking for an honest woman, well I can understand that but as for myself looking for some fun right now and these women do one hell of a job.
  4. when is life opening, have not heard about that club in quite a while and I know it was supposed to open late may early june, any word on whats going on?
  5. I must be reading this wrong, the dj is 9 years old? And here I thought JZ was a young dj.
  6. gonna have to agree with laliux there for a bit, I went to pearl last sunday and the music was horrible aside from two or three outdated songs that still do it for me. It was amazing to see this crowd going nuts for dark beat I know its an amazing song and in no way am i ripping it, but these people acted like the song just got big in miami and they were going nuts and then whoever that dj was she mixed dark beat into some nasty ass hip hop beat. Really though aside from the music, I have to say plenty of women, couple of nice dancers, and did i say women. Yeah i know they all fake or golddiggers or just clueless good looking women but hey I love em if I can get them for one night and they don't leave my wallet empty. Seriously had a good time just chillling in there with a couple of old friends and having fun trying to pick up some of these women. But laliux, for a better time with amazing women, head out tonight to tantra. NOw that place you get the hot women except they go wild over there. Another plus is the music is pretty good and you won't see luis mixing dark beat into clocks and then into "I don't know what you heard about me"
  7. tyson can't take on lewis, I think that was made clear last fight. This russian boy obviously can take on lewis and it would be great to see a rematch. I think lewis vs russian boy is a bigger pay day then lewis tyson. But when it comes to roy jones jr, now that will be the payday of all and I think roy jones is gonna put on one hell of a show if it happens.
  8. love that flier with the owl, the fliers for space have been getting better as of late.
  9. who do u all got your money on? Lewis or that russian guy, who is he if anybody knows anything about who this guy has beaten and etc. let me know. I say lewis wins, but would be nice to see a change. By the way a little off topic, but roy jones jr. by far best boxer of all time.
  10. Sound Design" v. 1, a continuous mix by DJ Marques Wyatt, showcases Mr. Wyatt who has been commanding the turntables for over 12 years now, with residencies at Los Angeles' Does Your Mama Know?, Deep, Revival, and San Francisco's Release. Headlining alongside "Little Louie" Vega, Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, and Doc Martin, Marques has emerged at the forefront of the global House music phenomenon. For this first installment of Sound Design,Marques has delivered a continuous mix of moody, percussive deep house textures…14 tracks for dance music lovers of all flavors. Through over a decade of dedication, hard work and above all a passion for music, Los Angeles native Marques Wyatt has emerged amongst a pack of elite international DJs at the forefront of the global House Music phenomenon. He has been immersed in the club scene since 1985, and in addition to DJing, balances a dual role as one of LA's most respected club promoters. In the mid-eighties, Marques introduced LA to the New York underground House sound by promoting his own club, THE BBC. The BBC brought House music to the club-goers of LA and set a precedent for musical formats in nightclubs. Recognizing the growing popularity of House music, Marques opened MAC'S GARAGE in 1988, LA's first club to showcase live House performances. MAC'S GARAGE featured artists such as Adeva, Jomanda, CeCe Rogers and LizTorres. As the demand continued to grow and evolve, Marques focused on bringing the most influential international DJ talent to LA - David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, Mousse T., Boris Duglosch, CJ Macintosh, Ricky Morrisson, Claudio Coccoluto, Dimitri from Paris, and "Little" Louie Vega. It was through Louie Vega that New York was introduced to Marques in 1996 at the world renowned Sound Factory Bar, here Marques earned the critical respect from the New York music industry. The same year a seminal moment in Marques' career occurred at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, where he grabbed the House world's attention by taking control of the turntables at Vega & Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez's Masters at Work party. Since then, Marques' turntable technique has been sought after by clubs the world over, including the internationally respected Ministry of Sound in London. In addition to England, Marques has toured Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain, Holland, Germany, Japan, Canada, and the width - breadth of the United States. Never forgetting his home, Marques continues to both promote and play at LA's top clubs. He maintains his residency at High Society, and this year bid adieu to his longtime residency at the legendary after-hours club, DOES YOUR MAMA KNOW?, in order to devote his attention to his widely successful new party, DEEP, at the Viper Room. At DEEP he hosts the cream of the international DJ crop such as Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, King Britt, Mark Grant, Tony Humphries, Louie Vega, and David Morales. Additionally, Marques and longtime friend and fellow Los Angeles DJ/Producer Doc Martin have teamed up to promote REVIVAL, a new monthly Sunday daytime party in LA. Marques also maintains a strong presence in nearby San Francisco via his monthly residency at the city's biggest weekly club, RELEASE. from omrecords.com Can't wait for this one, with avb and marques it looks like opium is gonna put on one hell of a show this summer with different style of electronic music.
  11. Nah saleen, I'm a trance fan and usually love pvd but last night he sucked. If it was not for his big name that music was nothing special. HE is not always like that though as I have seen him really bring it and put on some great energy. Time to give the other trance guys a chance though. ANd by the way not every trancehead is on drugs. I love my trance, progressive, house, and even techno and though might sound like pure bs but never even tried any drugs. SO quit stereotyping. Armin Van Buuren July 12th, Opium Garden
  12. don't really know eddy but went over to maze a couple of times, love the place. Through pms and this board got comped by eddy to maze so I know he must be cool, but really got no idea who he is, but in case I never said it thanks for hooking it up.
  13. I had no idea you were spinning later in the night, had I known somebody I never heard before yet was spinning would have checked it out to see what your sound was about, but maybe next time.
  14. Last night space was packed, there were lots of beautiful women in there, sound was great, and once again light didn't bug me and I didn't think they were too bright at all. AS for cover and line did not have a problem at all cause had advance tickets and props to cooljunkie for that, no line no wait actually was true this time. Last night had everything set up for a good time, but I was dissapointed in PVD's set. THe last time I heard him in the conference preferred the tunes he was playing and this time around felt like there was no energy. Thats the thing with him sometimes he can do it for me, others he really dissapoints. Did not stick around for edgar as I left around 4:30. To the people booking these events, I know paul van dyk always brings in big money but there are lots of others that can provide a better atmosphere and proove that trance is not dead, but still very healthy. Tiesto is one of those guys, but don't overbook him cause soon his sound will get tired 2. Next trance dj im waiting to see that is booked is Armin Van Buuren, who really is almost never here. But other recommendations guys: Ferry Corsten, Lange, Above and Beyond, Gabriel and Dresden, BLank and Jones, Cosmic Gate, Misja Helsloot, and Marco V. THere are many more but give these guys a chance. Well I know the obvious answer to this is all this was tried before when space opened up every friday for trance and nobody showed up, but give one of these guys a chance on the rare fridays space opens up and it will work, since any friday space opens up people show. Maze I know was doing all trance saturdays, but from what I heard its back to rize saturdays so guessing its up to some other club like opium, who is booking great acts as of late or somewhere else that is looking for a change. Last thing, infusion sucks ever since I heard them and was amazed I have not been able to enjoy a dj set, maybe I've been to the wrong places after their performance but nobody has been able to match that vibe and energy.
  15. I thought this was last night, but if D:fuse is at opium tonight I think I will be checking it out. Have heard good things about d:fuse and want to check it out. The fact that it's at opium and because of that there will be tons and tons of quality women just is another plus. Let me know og if this was not for last night, cause definately interested in this.
  16. tantra on monday night
  17. is saleen gonna be allowed at nerve for this event since it's a space party? Technically saleen should be able to get in but I wonder how this is gonna turn out.
  18. good stuff with the new site. Nerve it's time to update your website, definately not representative of the club.
  19. should be very interesting to see the boys playing there that night.
  20. tranze thats actually what i'll be doin 2, but my clumsy ass clicked on maze instead though might do that as well before space.
  21. forgot to put in d:fuse at opium in the poll, but if u goin there just put something else
  22. With everything thats going on friday night, wondering what everybody will be up 2.
  23. too funny, L.P's posts have been hilarious the past couple of days, but if i were on the recieving end of his posts I'd be pissed. By the way how long till this gets moved to the other miami board, drama?
  24. back door bamby when they have big name djs like digweed or sasha usually open up the main room. I went to sasha on a monday night, back door bamby and it was amazing. Crowd was great and the vibe was perfect. I'm up for this and love that crobar is bringing in a big name dj again. Keep it up.
