  1. being italian and from south jersey, i still listen to it, even tho i'm soon to be 27, and started listening to it 10+ years ago.

anything off of MicMac, Viper, or Freestyle records is good stuff, imo.

can't forget the real artists with more than 1 track like Lil Suzy and Stevie B.

you also have Intonation, Joee, Cover Girls, Rockell, Cynthia .... geeze there's so many

  2. maybe 1 out of 10, my list was making her mad, i rated maybe 7 out of 10 a thumbs up.

and i started chasing this one blonde with white pants and she got all pissed. so we stopped after that.

side note, we did this as dj caps lock was playing sledgehammer, people were pouring out of the room.

  3. ok here's the scoop. normal saturday night, well sort of. i usually get to the Taj Mahal along with resident Casbah DJ Moe Green shortly before 10pm. except i went to the metallica concert in philly, so i didn't get there until 12:45. Moe is playing in the main room, DJ Skribble spinnin in the Xanadu room. i quickly get upstairs, say my hellos and travel back down to the Xanadu to see what Skribble's got goin on.

the dancefloor was full, but he was just playing mainstream radio stuff, doing cheesy scratch mixes or cheesy delay/echo mixes.

so i go back upstairs, tell Moe that he's got all the vibe, but not all the people.

so long story short, the night progresses, it's now 4am. i'm downstairs, but standing outside the Xanadu rating girls i'd rail, as my girlfriend stood next to me rating guys she'd rail. so i hear.......could this be true........ DJ etch-a-sketch, i mean skribble, plays Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer. no, not some whitelabel or some rauhofer or some other mix. this was the goddamn ALBUM version. A: Who the fuck has this in their cd case ? and B. Who the fuck would play this in a night club ?

am i off base here? or is DJ cursive, i mean skribble, really this bad?

  4. the dancers suck there compared to the casbah, i think the 1st dj Brian B is ok, since he's from the area and knows generally what to play, but that south beach guy goes from playing derb to mark antony. not sure wtf is up with that.

and there's no subs in the place?? i guess they didn't have powerhouse do the sound in there.

and eddie, well he started a new job last week, has to drive to like the end of the parkway from central jersey. he should be making some good bank now tho.

i haven't heard any good reviews from anyone else that's been there yet.

  5. of course, he's been to the casbah several times, and the 1 or 2 times i've heard him (he usually is there on a friday, and i'm a saturday casbah head), it has truely sucked ass.

he'd be better off putting on NYC 3 and letting it play, than trying to do whatever shit it is he does up in the dj booth.

thank goodness he and dj skribble come on friday nights 90% of the time.

  7. no idea how old this one is, but i have track titled 'satisfaction' by him. very 80's sounding, maybe even used a mac to do the vocal (if you wanna call it vocal). although it has a today-sounding kick.
