  16. Massacre of Iraqi army recruits Iraqi officers stand by the dead bodies of Iraqi army recruits The bodies of the dead men were found by the roadside The bodies of more than 40 Iraqi army recruits have been found following an ambush near the Iranian border in the north-east of the country. Police said many of the soldiers had been shot in the head. Hours later, a US diplomat was killed in a mortar attack at Camp Victory near Baghdad airport. Ed Seitz, assistant regional security officer at the US embassy in Baghdad, is believed to be the first US diplomat killed during the current war. A website often used by militants published a statement attributed to the group led by Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in which it claimed to have carried out the army recruits massacre. This was an execution. We found the dead lying face down by the roadside with a single bullet wound Ali al-Kaaki National Guard commander Police said the bodies of the recruits - who were not armed - were found near the village of Mandali, south of Baquba. "This was an execution. We found the dead lying face down by the roadside with a single bullet wound to the head," Iraqi national guard commander Ali al-Kaaki is quoted as saying by the AFP news agency. A local police official said that all had their hands crossed behind their heads. Interior Ministry spokesman Adnan Abdul Rahman said 37 bodies were found shot dead on the side of the road, while the bodies of 12 others were found in a burned bus. There was confusion over the precise figures. The Iraqi National Guard said 48 troops and three drivers were killed. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/3948675.stm

  21. Childless couple told to try sex A German couple who went to a fertility clinic after eight years of marriage have found out why they are still childless - they weren't having sex. The University Clinic of Lubek said they had never heard of a case like it after examining the couple who went to see them last month for fertility tests. Doctors subjected them to a series of examinations and found they were both apparently fertile, and should have had no trouble conceiving. A clinic spokesman said: "When we asked them how often they had had sex, they looked blank, and said: "What do you mean?". "We are not talking retarded people here, but a couple who were brought up in a religious environment who were simply unaware, after eight years of marriage, of the physical requirements necessary to procreate." The 30-year-old wife and her 36-year-old husband are now being given sex therapy lessons while the university clinic undertakes a study to try to find out if there are more couples with a similar lack of sex education. http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_957945.html
  22. ok ... chinelas ... this will only be a "feature" for 64-bit windows if it even happens at all ... it's not time to freak out just yet ... that article is pretty much a worst case senario
  23. well said phuturephunk ... i read in another forum that europe plays a big role(or at least i hope a big one) in this because their laws are more strict as far as privacy goes and windows media player already infringes on some european privacy laws .. so if europe doesn't want longhorn(which undoubtedly will infringe on those same laws or maybe more of them), that's a rather big chunk of money ol' gates is gonna lose out on, that is if europe decides to switch to a different operating system ... as would make sense if lynux was to go 64-bit, and europe does use alot of different standards but im just being optomistic here, so yea in the end only time will tell i for one wont be upgrading until i know for sure this stuff has no part in longhorn
